I came here as a new patient to see Dr. DeBlauw at the start of this year. I sprained my ankle in the worst way months prior, and she has always communicated well, and clearly. I often struggle to meet new doctors because of past experiences of not being listen to - but I have had the best experience with Dr. DeBlauw. She's nice, communicative, knowledgeable, supportive, reassuring; and has a sense of humor that you tend to only have in really great physicians. I tend to research providers to see their level of experience, and I have to say that Dr. DeBlauw's heart into her career outweighs anything else in her medical path. I've been looking for a great podiatrist for such a long time. I had a bunion that was causing me pain and discomfort. I knew at some point I would need surgical intervention but I couldn't find anyone I could trust with my feet. I had been with 2 other podiatrists in the area before meeting Dr. Larson and he was a breath of fresh air! From the moment I met him I could tell he actually cared about his patients. So I entrusted him with my bunionectomy - he is one of the very few surgeons who is trained to perform the procedure laparoscopically! This results in a faster healing time and less complications. His secretary Taylor helped get me scheduled and she was great with emails. Dr. Larson checked on me before and after my surgery. He also made sure I felt safe before going into surgery. I was honestly so scared but I was comforted seeing him in the OR. I am currently post op at home with no pain. Will update with photos once I heal up. Had a corn removed, and the doctor explained very well preventative steps in the future, reason for the corn development, and advised that surgery is a last resort (I liked that and it showed they were not wanting to promote unnecessary procedures for financial gain). My boyfriend sustained a bad injury to his ankle, I called Central Coast Foot and Ankle Specialists and they were so accommodating in getting us in right away to see a provider. Dr Larson is the absolute best doctor, he spent 45 minutes with us doing an exam, X-rays and throughly explaining the diagnosis and treatment options. Any concern we had after that appointment we always received a return call from his medical assistant the same day. I Liked Dr Richards, the associate, who has mysteriously moved on sadly. Strange, since they are newish here in No County as he was the only good thing I could say about Chatigny's office. BTW I actually never met her not once. Calling for an appointment is a comedy but not a fun one. They have some new fangled answering machine which plays a non stop repetitive awful abrasive gong in your ears forever and then you have to leave a message to talk to a receptionist who calls back in 2 or more days; at least that was my experience. I woke up last month with an excruciating pain in my foot and called for an appointment telling the receptionist,finally when I got to talk to her , sadly she gloated that my appointment would be 5 weeks from now although I had told her I needed help. When I objected I was told to find medical care elsewhere This office is cold and non caring. There phone system is offensive; they have real attitude. This Place has repeatedly broken appointments come with excuses as to why they cant see you. First back in November of 2018. I got a referral slip them. Tried to call to make an appointment and they said I missed 2 scheduled appointments and could not be seen. Finally after speaking to Insurance Co I finally for 3-21-19 got an appoint for2:15 Pm. Showed up early and was told no Yet Again! They say I missed several phone calls days prior and have to reschedule again. I have about had it. read more

I made an appointment, they said that they would email me the new patient paperwork. I called two weeks before my appointment, they said they would email me the paperwork. The day of the appointment I went in early to pick up the paperwork that they said they emailed me. They told me see you at 3:30, I had put down to be there at 2:45 on my calendar. I showed up at 3:15 to be ahead of schedule. They told me that they have a 10 minute late rule. I was confused. I waited for Lucy to come back before I found out my appointment was at 3:00. They told me I had to reschedule. I understand the importance of time and was mindful of their time, but it doesn't seem that they care about my time. I didn't reschedule, I left upset. read more

I have had ingrowing toenails for years. Dr. Larson took care of them and I haven't had any pain since the procedure. He even saw me after the procedure when I needed reassurance that my toes were healing well. I'm very satisfied with my experience, and everyone I interacted with was courteous. I needed to have a difficult surgery performed on my ankle. I interviewed several surgeons from San Francisco to SLO, and I chose Dr. Julie Chatigny at Central Coast Foot and Ankle Specialists. Dr. Chatigny was very good at explaining all the issues and challenges associated with my particular condition, and she took the time to answer all my questions. When it came time to schedule the operation she was very flexible and accommodating, rescheduling the date for me a couple of times to accommodate my work schedule and also to allow me to attend my son's wedding while still on two feet. After the operation, she and her staff have provided excellent care and have been available by phone to answer all my questions. 3 weeks post-op, my ankle is healing well and I am very pleased with the entire experience. I can't think of a single aspect of this process that could be improved. read more

I arrived 10 minutes late to an appointment. Sometimes the traffic from SLO to Templeton can be unpredictable. When I arrived there was an elderly gentleman the receptionist was checking in for what appeared to be the first time in the office. She was taking his picture, he was signing papers, giving insurance cards, etc. I was standing so long she told me to sit down. When he finished and I went to the window her first response was "your appointment was at 1:45." I acknowledged I was 10 minutes late, exactly, as I had looked at my GPS and time as soon as I pulled up in the car. She acted miffed and had to get permission to let me see the MD. Her attitude was lousy and rude. I was told "they would work me in, but wasn't sure when". I will not be back nor recommend this office to anyone.. the doc is great, and I have happily waited almost an hour before to see her but no more. The office staff needs training in how to be helpful and polite. read more

I was a new patient coming to my first appointment. I asked their location receptionist said on the other side of Hospital so I assumed in was the complex on the east side. I looked at the addresses and noticed their address was not any where around so i punched in my GPS and showed it was in the down across from the post office. I am from Cambria and I don't know my way around that area that good. I called them and they were not even in the office yet. I was their first appt. Left a message saying I got lost and that I was real close that was 8 mins before the 10 minute rule. I explained that I was from Cambria and I really would not like to reschedule. Now it was 1 min after the 10 min rule. Receptionist went to ask the Doctor if I could still come in. ON HOLD for a while in the mean time I ended up in the office standing in the waiting home still on HOLD. Now it is 6 mins past 10 min rule. They refused to see me so I said that I will go else where. HMMM I wonder if you waiting in the waiting room has ever waited more then 10 mins?? Well I guess its and good thing because a Doctor who does not care to accept you a few mins late because of a mishaps I don't think I would want here caring on my feet. That was just wrong. read more
