Since I couldn't get time off from work to accompany her myself, I was told that I just needed to write a consent form for my daughter to travel without me and have a copy of her birth certificate, and it should be fine. Then, a relative warned me that airlines or immigration can be picky and might hassle her without notarization--better safe than sorry. I panicked when I heard it coz the trip was only 3 days away, and I worked full time, so there's no way I can go and get the letter notarized during business hours. I searched for mobile notaries and found Seri and texted him. I explained the rush, and thankfully, he was flexible and able to work around my schedule, and we set it early in the morning before I headed for work. He even called before setting off to reconfirm and showed up right on time. Such a nice guy. He walked me through everything, checked my ID properly, and got the notarization done quick and easy. His fee felt fair compared to what I've seen quoted for other mobile notaries around Paso Robles (some are pretty steep for the travel).
