I called multiple times 4days in a row being told I didn't need an apt and the doctor could send over a new antibiotic. Each time being hung up on or told they'll send a script in an hour or so. On the fourth day I demanded I speak to a nurse and had to argue with her to get the doctor to get my son the antibiotic he needed as I was then being told he now needed an apt. A week later my son woke up with a swollen face, I thought it could possibly be a tooth infection. The PA said it wasn't and to just keep an eye on it and come back. I decided to take him to his dentist who confirmed the tooth infection. I then AGAIN had to go back to the doctor to get an antibiotic shot because he was already on antibiotics at the time, and the call center told me there was no antibiotic shot and my dentist can give me an antibiotic script, so once again I had to argue my way to get my son the medical treatment he needed. The dentist needs a consent physical form filled out by the doctor to approve the dental surgery and the doctor refused to fill out the form without a doctors apt. So my son has been to the doctor FOUR times this month and I have to leave work take him out of school again so the doctor can make her $$$ with the apt, the PA offered to filled it out... yes.. without the apt. But when they asked the doctor she refused and said we need an apt!!! I would NOT recommend this office or any first choice office, the one in Sanford is equally as terrible. We are hoping our insurance will find us a new pediatrician because this place is terrible. UPDATE. I went into the office at 8am the other day to get a surgery clearance form completed for my sons emergency dental surgery and the PA offered to sign, but the paperwork clearly states a Doctor MD has to sign and the doctor was there and REFUSED to sign and told me to schedule an appointment, I did. Waited for my apt and the office calls 10mins prior to the appointment to CANCEL his apt because my son has been Dropped as a patient due to my refusal of care by the doctor. I had to contact the supervisor to make this doctor do her job so my son 19months old could have his emergency dental surgery because of the incident listed above over the FOUR days of phone calls trying to get my son an antibiotic or an apt for his ear infection. The supervisor made the doctor keep the apt and sign the paperwork. Absolutely negligent of a child and shouldn't be practicing medicine, the doctor he told my 19 month old not to kick her as he sat on my lap and she listened to his heart beat, he was wiggling not even kicking. I threatened to contact the news and get a lawyer and that was how I got the doctors boss to make this doctor sign a clearance piece of paper. Do not recommend. This doctor does not care about your children only $$ and if you question her treatment or ask for another option she'll drop you as a patient. She could have told us that morning that she was refusing to treat my son we could have went to a different doctor, but she had us get an apt and tell us at 3pm she wasn't going to sign the paperwork for our 19month old to have emergency dental surgery, it's completely negligent.

They use call centers and when I call I expect to speak with someone in office not someone from a call centers. We PAID for our sons 2 year physical and then switched offices because we could never get in contact with anyone. Now they refuse to give us our child's physical form (who is still 2) because we won't bring him back for a 30 month check up with them... our new pediatrician does not do 30 month check ups so we can only get the physical form from them for school which they are refusing to do until we take him back. Our new pediatrician even stated that it's ridiculous and they aren't allowed to do that. I advise everyone to stay clear of this place and all associated with pediatric association. If you want a good peds that cares and you can ACTUALLY contact I HIGHLY recommend stages Pediatrics in Orange city.

Their patience with children is nonexistent, which is shocking for a pediatric office. The front waiting area is uncomfortably cold and unwelcoming. This is the only medical office I've genuinely disliked in a long time--and we've had to switch a few due to insurance changes. From front staff to the nurses to the doctors, all of them truly care about your kids and they make it fun for the kids because we all know how kids hate the doctors office haha

I can't say enough about the Hunts Pediatric office in Lake Mary. I've been taking all three of my…read morekids there since moving to Lake Mary four years and we have always been handled with care. The women are the front desk are welcoming and kind. The doctors who meet with my kids are gentle and friendly. I can tell my kids are always comfortable. The wait for my kids are typically short. I've never experienced waiting more than 10 mins, even when all three kids are being seen at once. Lastly, the front desk is accommodating when needing those last minute paperwork's for daycare, physical forms, sports forms. I know that they receive a lot of requests but they are always willing to work with you to try and expedite the wait if they can. I have no complaints!

I had a very concerning experience at Hunt Club Pediatrics during an urgent mental health situation…read moreinvolving my child. I scheduled an appointment after being instructed by a treatment facility that a primary care referral was needed to begin the process for residential placement. When I made the appointment, I clearly explained the purpose, and this was confirmed by front desk staff as being documented in my file. At the time of the visit, my child was in an active mental health crisis, and I communicated the urgency multiple times. However, upon arrival, I was met with resistance and a lack of urgency from the office manager/registrar. I was told that I had not properly informed the office of the reason for the visit--despite staff confirming that I had. I was also told that because I initially contacted a different office location, I was considered "non-compliant," even though the appointment was correctly scheduled and documented at this location. During the visit: * I repeatedly stated this was an emergency * The referring facility was on the phone requesting direct communication * Multiple attempts were made to connect them with staff * Despite this, there were delays and a continued focus on administrative "notice" issues rather than patient care I was also informed that the staff member responsible would be leaving at a specific time, which made the situation even more time-sensitive. Despite that, no urgency was demonstrated. This resulted in: * Delays in initiating necessary care during a psychiatric crisis * Dismissive and unprofessional communication * Unnecessary barriers to urgent care In a situation involving a child in crisis, patient safety and timely care should come first. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here. I hope the office reviews its procedures and staff training for handling urgent mental health situations so that other families do not face similar obstacles when seeking critical care.

I went because they can do X-rays stitches and labs on site. Luckily we have never needed to use those services but it's nice to know that they have it if we need it. Always quick and efficient. They make taking care of kids look easy. Will be returning for urgent needs in the future
