My experience at QPR (Quality Performance Rehabilitation) in Fort Pierce, FL, was unproductive,…read morevery disappointing, and regrettable. I went for approximately ten physical therapy sessions and in that  time, I had four different physical therapists. That is a lot of different 'hands on' in such a short time. Other physical therapy clinics have agreed this was "unusual" and "not ideal." If consistency of care is important to you, then consider this problematic policy of using many different PT's to treat you.  The interior set up is quite cramped and lacks privacy. During these days of Covid-19 and 'social distancing,' I would be very concerned about the physical limitations of this particular facility. Most importantly, I had an entirely new medical issue added to my condition, an impinged ulnar nerve probably caused by an overzealous, part-time physical therapist. The extent of this injury is still unknown. I spent the majority of the ten sessions trying to 'undo the harm' that was done. So, not only was I no better off than when I started treatment, I was demonstrably worse. When I approached the owner he apologized, but did not want to take responsibility.  I take no pleasure in writing this review but thought it was my obligation for others to know before they consider attending physical therapy QPR in Fort Pierce.

This place is horrific. my father in-law has received poor treatment extremely long periods of wait…read moretimes when calling for a bathroom break. over an hour in some cases. His arms are bruised and skin broken open and scabbed from rough handling. he has never had issues with incontinence but because the staff is lazy and afraid of liability problems they put him in a diaper and tell him to pee in it instead of respecting his dignity and helping him to the bathroom. in their care he has gone from being a normal human being to a shell of a person in just three weeks. we have done everything we can to find him a new place and finally ready to move him. so, my wife told them the day before that he was moving and the morning of with three hours of heads up to please get him ready. but when she shows up, they have done nothing. Even if you don't love your family do not bring them to this horror of a place. do not do it...

My Mom was 100 percent neglected at this facility. The CNA's and nurses did not move her in the bed…read morethe was they are supposed to. She was left to sit with soaking wet diapers for hours and hours. It took three plus days for the nurses to look at her bottom after she kept repeatedly telling them she was burning there. She got 2 bed sores, plus a uti and had external yeast infections under her breasts and in the creases by her thighs. The director of nursing is shameful: she is in charge of the nurses and CNA's. What happened to my Mom is a nightmare. She has been hospitalized multiple times now for these wounds. DO NOT SEND A LOVED ONE THERE BECAUSE THEY WILL BE NEGLECTED!!!

She was persistent getting orders from my Doctor and authorization from my insurance. Both made her job difficult, but she suceeded. I can't thank Justin S, Justin G, Marisa, Megan and Kendrick, enough. My husbands is getting up and down better and he is walking better. My balance is so much better. I am having less MS hug pain, foot pain and ankle pain. I learned some great stretches. More than anything, they helped me get my confidence back. There…read moreis absolutely no communication between the staff and patient regarding test results and plan forward. He has been in this facility over a week and neither of my parents have any clue what's going on. No results, no doctor visit etc.. It gets even worse when I show you the food they actually expect you to eat. Who did they hire as the cook ? Homeless person ? The kitchen staff needs to be fired ASAP. Also the manager who let this be served. The only good thing I have heard is the nursing assistants are very nice and do a great job. Why has my dad not been given any of his test results ? Why are you serving food my dog wouldn't eat ?

My 99 yr old mom was admitted to this facility after she had a small stroke and acquired covid…read morewhile in the ER for 6 hours! I tried to call the facility numerous times at different times and the phone usually just rang and rang with no pickup. Trying to get any info on her condition or speak with her was impossible. I finally put a bad review on their site and got a call the next day. I was not able to visit her and when I finally was able to pick her up and take her to assisted living neither my brother nor I even recognized her when they wheeled her into the waiting room after a 30 min wait. Before the stroke she was living on her own and had no memory issues. When I settled her into her new room in Vero Beach she was so weak, depressed, disheveled. I was told that she was getting PT/OT at Emerald, but I don't believe it. She was so weak she couldn't do ANYTHING and needed help for EVERYTHING. I was with her for 10 days and by the end of my visit she was able to move herself and sit up in bed, swing her legs around and stand to get into the wheelchair. And that was with no PT, just my help getting her to move. Her memory improved and she carried on conversations just as before the stroke. She has no lasting problems from the stroke. This facility was chosen for us by the hospital. I don't suggest that you ever put a loved one there. My mom is fortunate that she did not have bed sores by the time she left after 1 month because I doubt she was ever out of her bed.
