I know this is a very long review, but that's because there are so many things that you need to…read moreknow about John. I'll start with what I think is the most important thing to people when paying for this kind of service and that is that John HUSTLES, HUSTLES, HUSTLES! He's a total GO, GO, GO kind of guy, and I PROMISE that you will NEVER have to worry about him taking his sweet time as a way to earn more money. I lost my husband last year and struggle to get things done in all aspects of my life, so I've hired John to do ALL KINDS of things for me over the last 4 months, including: * hauling furniture; * laying out and taping down several throw rugs; * moving stuff out of a room and loading it into a storage pod (then later moving it all back in); * hanging strands of lights in my bathroom and bedroom; * putting things together (e.g., a laptop table); * re-staining my husband's family antique hope chest; * installing one of those metal closet racks in my laundry room; * running errands like picking things up, returning far more Amazon items than I care to admit to, and taking a USB to an office store and printing a document. I truly could go on and on. If John's able to do something you need done, you can consider it D-O-N-E. He's also VERY honest, so if he feels like he's not the best person for a job, he'll let you know rather than just giving it a try in order to earn money. Another great thing about John is that he's a perfectionist, so it's super important to him that anything he does is done just the way he would do it if he was doing it in his own home. That's true even when it comes to esthetics, so it's SUPER important to him that things are done the right way and that his work looks absolutely perfect once he's done. He even has me come double check whatever he's working on before finalizing anything. So, no nails are ever hammered into the wall until I confirm that I'm happy with how a frame is positioned, and no rug has ever been taped down without me checking out how it looks first. That has saved me from having to pay him twice for the same rug on more than one occasion because rarely do I end up liking the way it looks once he's laid it out the way I said I wanted. Just a few more things to mention are that John has incredible organizational skills and automatically organizes/straightens up a room once he's done. He's professional, friendly, courteous, conscientious, reliable, punctual, and he has a work ethic that is FAR beyond OUTSTANDING. I'll tell just one story before ending this very long (but much-deserved) review. One day, John was waiting for me to end a phone call in order to let him know what I needed done next, and rather than taking a break, he took it upon himself to organize my laundry room! He has even offered to run laundry for me while he's here working. There's NEVER any just sitting around when it comes to John. So for whatever it is that you need done, BE SURE TO CALL JOHN. I promise he's worth every single penny.
