Under the circumstances, the type of care was phenomenal. The bedside manner was nothing like I've ever seen. The doctors were extremely empathetic and very sensitive to our needs regarding our father's well being. Although Pop has passed, It was the best experience ever and I would trust them with my own care. They also gave us a momentous gift of Pop's last heartbeat which was I have never seen. Don't deserve any stars. Misdiagnosed. All test results go against their diagnosis, but they stand by it...even after filing a grievance. Was hoping for a teaching moment so they learn that one symptom alone does not define the problem. I was disappointed with the wrong diagnosis but disturbed that the head of the ER and above stand by it. They even added information in my chart that was not accurate. Said I "elected" to go home...the doctor gave me her diagnosis and discharged me. In pain and could hardly walk, I had to walk out. They say I refused a wheelchair. Just some of the incorrect information. If you value your health and life...do not go there! read more

Nothing but great things to say about my experience! I was here with my mother who was very sick. She was sent to another hospital on life flight. Her nurse, Holly, was nothing short of an angel! She kept her cool and updated us every step of the way. I could tell they were busy and short staffed but she still made us feel like we were the only people she was taking care of. The doctor was not American and I had trouble understanding him. She was understanding and answered all the questions I had and explained them on a level I could understand! This was my only experience with central harnett and I was nervous about my mother being at such a small hospital. Holly gave comfort with her knowledge and understanding. read more

Skip this place if your child gets hurt. We have a lot of children, one got bumped but appeared fine and running around at fill toddler speed thereafter. Since he is too young to speak or describe how he felt, I asked my wife to take him in and get some pics to be positive we were not missing anything. This morning were received a phone call from CPS demanding a 45 day review of our family and our parenting. Kids have accidents, we have ten off them, we should know. Despite being old enough to parent better than any CPS agent, a former deputy, and a 23 year combat veteran, I am now being threatened getting a court order to come into our home for a "mandatory 45 day" parenting a child care evaluation. Can you believe this nonsense? No conversation, no reasonable option to validate ourselvess a good humans, just sterile uncaring incursion because a to remain anonymous reporting person did not take the time to look closely at the ground truth. This is on top of family plans to depart for our first ever overseas vacation with half of the kids to celebrate retirement and their good service being behind their dad all these years. Now it looks like I will have to cancel and forfeit thousands of spent dollars so I can stay home once again, and defend my family... You decide. read more

i have nothing good to say about this hospital, i went awhile back and i was diagnosed with allergic reaction, 12 days went to dermatology had shingles,my step grand daughter with there with pain diagnosed with appendicitis turned out to be cyst on ovary, my daughter went there with pain and on her sheet diagnosis was a cyst on liver, on the one that went to doctor said she had cancer how mixed up can a hospital be, i also know of two other people that their experience was also bad, you all have problems you need to solve them. for anyone that reads this do not go to this hospital if you value your health read more

Don't go here if you're a woman!!!!! I told them I was puking and I have Crohn's and needed help to get hydrated. They shoved my boyfriend out of the room and pulled my shirt up and did an EKG without my permission. I talked to the doctor and they apologized saying they will take it off their bill. I got the bill and was charged. I called several times and they said they wouldn't removed the charge. I've emailed the financial team several times and called and no one will contact me back. I'm willing to pay everything except the EKG where I felt harassed. They now sent me to collections where they are treating to put it on my credit. Horrible service!!!!!! read more

Me and my husband were in a bad accident car accident back in July, went to get checked out right after the wreak and they gave us nothing but pain medicine and checked our blood pressure!!! Was charged over $1,000 and we didn't get enough from the wreak to pay it off! They wouldn't work with us at all!!! read more

I really wouldn't give this hospital even 1 star! It was just that horrible of an experience! Took husband in there at around 11:30 pm because of temperature going so high he was having the trembles. It would come down for 3 to 4 hours then back up. Went at 4 pm that day for covid test at PC came back negative. They were unable to see him that day because of closing for the day and said if temperature ran over 103 to go to ER. (What a mistake! ) He had had one lower abdomen pain a couple days before and that was really the only symptom other than uncontrollable temperature for 24 hours. Of course they asked him if his nose was running or if he had a cough and he said only when temp got high, like 104 thats the only time though. They did another covid test again and it came back negative and a chest x-ray that showed everything was clear! No blood work or urine test at all. He was diagnosed with upper respiratory infection anyway and sent home with an upper respiratory antibiotic prescription. The very next morning I called and told our PC what had happened and she wanted to see him at 9:30 am. Within 10 minutes of being there she ran a urine test and it was off the charts for a terrible uti/kidney infection. She told us then that the ER did not follow protocol during our visit the night before that they should have ran exactly what she was doing. Gave him antibiotics for that and it took care of the temperature quickly. Needless to say they did run an ultrasound and found a kidney stone that took a couple weeks to pass. Now, what is your thoughts? Ours are, that this ER doctor and visit didn't want to do nothing but find another person for their Covid 19 get extra money for free foundation sent to them from our government. Plus chest x-rays are more expensive than a urine test or blood workup.. Just sad that you cannot go to the ER now for honest help! This is Evil at its best! I will never recommend to anyone even an enemy to go here! read more

I went to Central Harnett Hospital on September 24,2018 via ambulance. I had chest and abdomen pain. The EMT's had ruled out a heart attack based on the ekg and pulse rate. However, I was still treated for that possibility while en route-which is fine. Anyhow, the hospital also ruled out heart attack. How the ER doctor came up with GERD, I have no earthly idea. The only reason my pain subsided was because of the pain medication I was given. He never palpated my abdomen-he felt it but never pushed anywhere. I was sent home with a prescription for reglan to help nausea and to go to First Choice for a follow up. (Even though we told told them our primary care giver was Coats Medical). Monday evening I was once again in pain, with some nausea, so I took the reglan. I ended up vomiting all night. My husband took me to Coats and the doctor there actually palpated my abdomen and found extreme pain. She looked perplexed by the fact that the ER had not done an ultrasound so she ordered an emergency ultrasound to be done at Valley Radiology. Once there, the ultrasound showed a 4.8x3.2x3 non-moveable gallstone and my gallbladder was inflamed. Gallbladder surgery was recommended immediately. We chose Rex Hospital. The gallbladder had some gangrene on it. We tried Central Harnett for the last time. (First, my mother-in-law received poor care, then my sister, who is a nurse, was tested for unnecessary drug tests. She had had a heart attack and was diagnosed with angina, her doctors were working with her meds. She visited us and ended up having another angina attack and we took her to the ER. Even though we all explained what was going on, they tested her for cocaine, meth, etc etc) The third time was not the charm! It was just a total waste of time and money! Never Again! read more

They discharged my husband while he was still in afib. He had to go up to wake med Cary, as in he WASN'T transferred, to get his heart rate normalized. They seriously sent him out the door while his heartbeat was all over the place. Physician looked like he was a homeless man, I honestly thought it was a joke, I was waiting for someone to come in saying 'just kidding, I'm your real doctor'. read more

My aunt went to this emergency room after serious hand injuries. The doctors failed to irrigate the wound properly and the surgeon found gravel, dirt and bone fragments that they had stitched up. They also failed to take an X-ray and come to find out, the bone had been scraped down and damaged. They didn't give her any antibiotics. They also didn't do any surgery when they should have and now there is permanent damage in both her hands. read more

My father was taken to this facility the afternoon of 12/29/17, via rescue. He was a very sick patient. The E.R. Physicians & Clinical staff immediately took action and was very attentive the entire evening and into the night. They had difficulty getting both IV accesses but was able to get two of them to give him the help he needed. Everyone was informative, compassionate and professional. He had to be moved to the ICU and his nurses, Melissa, Jean, and Rose were ALL equally amazing to not only daddy, as the patient, but to our mother and the family. The nurses requested a guest meal tray for my mom, who had been up all night with daddy (it's the little things like this that mean so much). Up until this visit, I've never been exposed to this facility. I highly recommend this facility as the quality of care, level of attentiveness, and compassion are on the same level (if not better) as a lot of the large city hospitals are. Kudos to everyone involved in the care of my daddy and the sacrifices you make everyday and night to help families like us cope through the challenging times. Thank You Central Harnett Hospital! So far this place is getting a one star. We have been here since 8pm ish, no problem checked in with no issues sat down and waited to be called. My daughter has been running a 102-103 temp since about 6pm that just won't come down. Fast forward we get called to triage the nurse starts asking questions about my daughters health etc, then she gets to the question of whether or not my daughter drinks caffeine to which I quickly replied with a definitely not. The nurse then sucks her teeth and says "why you say it like that"? Umm excuse me?? Well because my children don't drink caffeine. She then proceeds to tell my daughter that she has raised 4 kids and she gave them whatever made them happy. Ok that's nice to know, however I am different. Anyway we get back to a room where an EMT worker comes in and proceeds to ask questions about what's going on no worries got that out of the way. Well maybe 20 mins later this old man comes in and says what's going on I'm like um who are you?? I had to read his name badge to see he was a physician. He didn't present to me as a physician AT ALL. He starts asking my daughter questions about how she feels but he didn't even let her finish her answer before he was on to the next question. He began to exam her and upon examining her back he asks if it hurt she begins to say yes and he talks over her so he can examine something else!! Then says he has to check her urine for a UTI when we already told him that isn't the issue!! Now 30 mins later all you hear in the hallway are the nurses playing around saying we have to entertain ourselves somehow!! Are you kidding me my daughter has a high fever she was administered NO MEDICINE, No blood was drawn no nothing and these workers can't find anything else to do besides play in the hallway!!!!!!!! Absolutely disgusted at this point!!! read more

My father just spent 10 days at this hospital. We experienced the ED and had wonderful treatment by traveling nurse, Jess, and both doctors. The neurologist teledoc was a real you know what, but in my opinion does not represent the hospital. We then spent several days in the ICU where my dad continued to get the best care! Nurse Rachel was incredible! Honestly, everyone in there was very attentive and caring. I can't for the life of me remember the other nurse in that wards name, but she was fantastic as well. We spent our remaining time out of the ICU with yet another dynamic team. John, Kim, Jordan, Keshona, and the rest of their team took absolutely the best care of my dad. Very caring, attentive, and genuine, not only to my dad, but to me as well. I cannot say enough about the care we received. All of his main doctors and therapists were amazing as well! Dr. Reep wasn't even my dads doctor, but checked in a few times and provided much needed comfort as I was making really tough decisions about my dads transition into hospice. Thank you to everyone that provided care to my dad, John, the "pain in the ass" as he called himself! You allowed me the time I needed with him, and for that, I'm forever grateful. read more

worst hospital ever. went there yesterday with severe lower back pains got a NP last name of Brown. he does not like me and let me know it, very rude! time before I went there after a fall. they wanted me to stay overnight, I have no insurance. I said no, I'll be fine. the nurse said you'll probably be dead by morning, my wife said what the hell did she just say! I reported nurse. in guess she is still there! i'll drive to Raleigh and Wake Med from here on. at least they have real doctors and nurses there. read more

My husband and I took my mother-in-law to this hospital tonight about 10:30pm. They got her to the back very quick but when the doctor came in he was very rude. He didn't even bother to see what all her problem were because she has the flu.. She is an elderly diabetic that had fallen and he just grabs her leg and said well youre walking so youre fine but we will take xrays. He didn't even give her any meds for her fever of 101. But on the other hand the nurses were nice. Thank you very much Ms. Anne (X-Ray tech) for being so nice to my mother. read more
