Chairs ringed the room when we visited, centered around a small central stage. There's a lovely little bar in the back where we purchased beers and cider from friendly volunteers. I'd like to explore the museum aspect here on a non-event day, but it was a very pleasant venue over all.

We even wanted to extend our evening which they were willing to allow but as it turned out we did not need it. The facility is gorgeous but once we added the decorations it was beautiful with the ability to adjust lighting it really set the ambiance. The kitchen is commercial so very helpful with prep and warming (very spacious). Bathrooms great and easy access. The parking was the absolute best thing. I highly recommend using this location for your next medium to small event.

Artists can either share or have their own rooms to work and present their art, or it can be presented out in the lobby / gallery area among others. Additionally, they have a small kitchen to hold drinks and snacks. Lastly, they host classes and are available for rent. If you're fortunate to come by, you won't be disappointed!

It was so much fun and I loved that they had this event for the community. Everything was decorated so nicely and the volunteers/staff were great. I really enjoyed the event and appreciated the work that went into putting this on for the community. I encourage others to check out their events and hopefully you can contribute donations, time or other resources too! The event was free which is the best value and they had vendors and food available.

The center on the outside is beautiful and kept in pristine condition. It kicks off Friday night, I did not go but the info on it said this would be the only time you would need to pay to get in to see the band. Saturday, I went and their was a band playing traditional Hispanic music. A big white tent was set up to shield the crowd from the elements. The weather was pretty perfect. Grabbed some tacos and horchata before sitting to take it all in. Different groups rotated up, my favorite was the little senoritas and seniors, they were so cute acting so grown up, excellent little dancers, nailed it! The music though is really loud, Im sure it can be heard for blocks. Walking around outside of the centers courtyard their were tons of inflatable bounce houses and slides(I think available Saturday only), a possible 8. For 12$ the kiddos can get an unlimited bracelet for the day. Lots of vendors selling wrestling masks, ponchos to Mexican candy and of course lots more food options. I usually get either mango with chamoy or fruit veggie cup with chamoy and lime. It seemed to me their were an unusual high amount of officers present which was welcomed if not to make sure all the little kiddos running around were safe. The event is very family friendly. The roads surrounding are closed off. For now traffic comes in waves so parking spots have a good turn over rate. I can see though that if this event grows in popularity parking will get tricky. Every year the event evolves a little more, its good now but I can see it becoming great.

Sure, their Yelp post guarantees a 20-minute turnaround, but it was Sunday, yo. I figured my stuff would sit there for a week before someone lugged it away. But TexMo gave me a reasonable quote and Keelen and Michael were in my driveway at 10:30 on that SAME Sunday morning! Are you kidding me? I might add that I'm in western Shawnee and they came all the way across the metro just to build their brand. Just WOW. I probably had 10 items, ranging from a couch and recliner to a warhorse of a dead lawnmower, and they took everything! No negotiating of space, no haggle, no fuss. They did what they said they would: they SHOWED UP, they're professionals with a great business niche, and they hauled my stuff away. Very fair rate, pleasant to work with, and they know their market. You want to use a chain? Great, fine, call 1-800-FacelessCorporation and throw your money away. And then get nickel-and-dimed when your stuff takes up an extra 5/16th of an inch on their truck. Not with TexMo. Keelen and Michael will take care of you. You're getting in with a LOCAL small business, and they are getting it done and done right. Call, use Yelp, use Google, whatever, but you won't be disappointed with TexMo.
