I am not a huge thrifter, but this is by far the best thrift store I have ever been to. The store was so clean and organized. I felt like everything had a place. I saw a ton of different things and the inventory seemed higher end than other thrift stores. I originally came here for DVDs and they were priced great at $1 each. The staff were friendly and helpful as well I will definitely be back!

This one is an old leather loveseat that has leather damage. The kind of thing that would maybe be free on a curb. $369

This place used to be our go to thrift store. Amazing selection, well organized, friendly staff. They used to have great prices. We went today to grab a dresser for our son's room . There wasn't a single option under $125. This place seems to think they can be greedy now that the economy is driving more ppl their way. We left without buying anything and grabbed one off FB marketplace. Don't bother with Blessings Abound, they've lost their way for sure . Could not believe the price increases !!!!

The Second to open "Blessings Abound Thrift Store" is located around the corner from its Main Store and Subway, has upscale items and fine jewelry, plus many unique household items at its thrift store pricing with 45% of its profits going back to special community projects, helping our own community. I stopped into this thrift store yesterday, and I was generally quite pleased. It appears that this thrift store is run and mostly staffed by older adults. They were all friendly and they do their job conscientiously and organize extremely well at this thrift store. I was delighted that the books were in alphabetical order as I've never seen that before at a thrift store! They also have toys, neatly organized, and enclosed in wrapping so that small pieces are not lost. It is a very large thrift store with more diverse items than typical thrift stores. Upon checking out I found out they have another one and the same complex right around the corner and I was given information and a coupon for that. I scored some books and, reasonable priced 18 month clothing for my grandson and some toys and a nice book bag. The only reason I rated it a four is because I believe some prices are overpriced. Some things they have very reasonable, but there are other items that I think are out of range in pricing for a thrift store.

Perfect example of the cool stuff you can find here.

If there is a thrift store in the KC area that I HAVENT been to, I'd be shocked. That being said, by far THE BEST thrift store in KC is Blessings Abound for one reason alone - the ritzy and lovely people of Overland Park donate all their stuff here. There are soooo many good finds! Not only that, proceeds go to a good cause, staff are always friendly, and the prices are reasonable ($35 for a Northface coat that's in pristine condition, yes please). I highly recommend! I always find something cool, and they have a punch card system (always a plus). I've found so many valuable collectors items here, vintage toys, nice clothes (again, bougie people of OP), and nice furniture. It's fun to look even if you don't buy anything!

The store itself is huge and they have a lot of cool stuff. The prices are super outrageous and especially for a thrift store.

You can get lucky and find some really great furniture too. I love that they have started giving donors a $5 off coupon when bringing in donations. I also love that they will come to your house to pick up any furniture that you want to donate but can't bring in yourself. They also have sales daily and post a calendar so you know what is on sale when. Clothes sales days can get very hectic! That being said I don't like donating too much here, as I feel they price items awfully high for people on limited incomes. It seems like they cater more to people with money who are just looking for a good deal. I prefer to take clothes to places that give it away to low income people. I know they take the money they make and help a lot of people in the community, so that's great, but I just wish some of the prices in store were a little more affordable. I frequently see housewares priced higher or the same as new items at retail stores.

While there are definitely some treasures and deals to be found, it's ultimately a downgrade in quality from the previous location, at least at the current time. I also want to note that despite loudly advertising that "all clothing is $2.98," they have a section at the front of higher priced clothing items. I admit I think this is a rather duplicitous business practice. It also seems random what clothes are put up there. Some of it was the same fast fashion that infests the rest of the clothing racks, while some finer materials and true vintage was languishing on the $2.98 racks. It just didn't make sense to me! It's worth a stop if you're in the area, but I wouldn't go out of my way for Frugal's.

I found the parking lot to be depressing as if I was in the middle of no-where with civilization being hundreds of miles away. I'm just adding this point as it was the way I felt. That said, the staff friendly and most of the patrons were very nice. Please note Thrift stores are very hit or miss so going from week to week can result in a highly different experience. I'll be the first to admit, all thrift stores have a funky smell to them and I found Frugal's to be especially smelly; nothing to the point of unbearable but it lingers for the duration of the visit. Now in terms of being what do they offer, well pretty much everything and anything. Furniture, clothing, toys, books, CDs/DVDs, cookware, you name it. I found the kitchen section in terms of pots, pans, mixers and things of that nature to be very sparse while their main attraction was clothing. Off in the back right, one can find a small furniture section with some decent to horrible offerings. I liked some of the books they had and was extremely tempted to pick something up since I found many that perked my interest. Their music selection had me laughing as I noticed a couple odd bands from the 80s, 90s and beyond which I don't think anyone would buy. Color Me Bad anyone? I don't recall seeing much for motorized lawn equipment but I was in and out relatively quickly. Overall, thrift stores have a very particular clientele and subculture. I'm pretty sure if you're reading this you know how things go, so I'm not going to try and upsell you, rather give you the thumbs up to come on by and see what they got. It's safe and the people are nice while have a very large floorspace open to many different reasonably priced objects.

There are lots of great things to be found here but they're entirely dependent upon luck. Wear gloves if you think you need them. Be prepared for people to shove you out of the way to get something they want or, alternatively, stand 3 inches away and give you the stink eye while you dig through a bin they want to look in. As other reviewers have said, the people working there often just make up prices. This can sometimes work out in your favor but often leads to overpaying, especially if they make you weigh the cart. Whatever weight they have put in for the carts is not accurate at all and will lead to you paying extra 99 times out of 100. Seriously, this place is not for the faint of heart. Or nose. I followed up this conversation by sending a picture of the doors to the coordinator, who said they were interested in the doors. I was going to arrange for their free pickup, but it turns out this is quite inconvenient. They schedule based on your zip code, which dictates the day of pickup. Then, the pickup window is the entire day. So you have to be home and waiting for the pickup on a random weekday, the entire day. If you work, you just can't make this work. The lady told me that instead, you can drop off the doors at the donation center. Today, I borrowed a trailer, loaded up the doors, and took them to the store. At the store, the man told me at that he could not take my doors, without even looking at them. They don't want doors, they can't sell doors, and they definitely can't take as many doors as I brought with me. Not to mention, the man was standoffish and acted like my bringing in a donation was an inconvenience or something. This would be fine with me if I had not already been told they wanted them and to bring them in. So yeah, pretty hard to make a donation to this place. It was a waste of time this afternoon, and it's a shame these matching doors in decent condition now have to go to the dump.

So I looked through the various racks of clothing and women's purses, etc. I ended up purchasing two sport tank tops. One was a Nike and another one was an Eddie Bauer. After the 40% off, I believe my purchase came to around $12. They have a wide selection of clothing, but quite a few of it was not my style. I believe this shop is for women that are probably late 30s and older. I tend to buy more clothing that is current with the trends as long as they look nice on me and I only saw a few jeans and a couple shirts that looked a little bit more modern. The shop was busy and the sales lady was exceptional in helping anyone that needed it. I would say the reason I did not give it a five star, is that there were several shirts that I looked at and I was interested in but they had stains on them. The clothing looked clean and pressed, but they probably should not have accepted those items for resale. This is a resell women's clothing store. It seems like they have quite a few 40 to 50% off sales. When I was checking out, she was telling me that there was going to be a 50% off sale the next day.
