A Hanna & Sons Pianos - Our Front Showroom

    A Hanna & Sons Pianos

For my family, it has been a very stressful experience buying from Hanna & Sons Pianos SW19. In…read morefact, we have been left 3 weeks without a piano for practice and after 3 weeks of waiting, we still have not received our order. We were looking for a Yamaha Arius YDP163 Rosewood. Hanna & Sons Pianos website showed that there were 3 in stocks so I rang the shop on Saturday morning 9th June 2018. The owner said the piano is in stock and can be delivered in 5 working days so I ordered it online. The money for the piano was deducted from my bank Monday 11th June 2018 followed by a phone call from the shop to say that the piano was in fact out of stock and it will not arrive in this country until Saturday 30th June. I was assured that the piano will be delivered first week of July. I had an update phone call/email from the shop 18th June 2018 who tried to sell their Yamaha Arius YDP163 Rosewood from their showroom 'to help my family'. I had politely declined the offer as this was not what I paid for in the first place. It is now Monday 2nd July 2018, the shop has now advised that they are not sure whether the piano has been delivered from Yamaha or not and they can no longer guarantee that the piano can be delivered this week. All in all, a time consuming and traumatic experience for my family. If the piano is still not delivered this week (3 weeks since we have paid for it), I think we are going to get a refund and order it directly from Yamaha. Hanna & Sons seems to have good reviews from other buyers and that was the reason why we bought from them in the first place. Unfortunately, our experience has been very far from their previous good reviews.

One of the things I'm eternally grateful to my parents for is the fact that they made me finish all my piano exams at school, so that I can now play most music and I'm involved in the worship at church. My sister and I have a lovely upright piano at home with a wonderful rich sound but one of my secret drerams is to one day own a house big enough to house a baby grand piano. Until then, I have to content myself by wandering into places like Steinway Hall and metaphorically drool over the wonderful grand pianos in there They have a great selection of traditional non electronic grand pianos, most of which are priced in the 'serious treat to oneself' category! I've been too shy to have a tinkle in the shop so far but I then head down to Chappells in Soho to play on their electronic pianos, keyboards and traditional pianos. Steinway also hold free concerts, mainly on Wednesday evenings when you can hear these pianos being put through their paces If I ever get that house, I'll be back!

I was so complete turned off by this. Lucky for me my son recorded the entire thing (he'd been recording me playing in the hall) so I have recorded evidence of their "request". Well, I won't be buying a Steinway or any piano from this place, not after the snobbery I encountered whilst in London. I may be a nobody in their eyes, but someone else just got my business; in London of course.

Knowing how rare good reviews about moving or relocation companies are, I figured it's time to…read morereview Diamond Removals. We used them to move us from one flat to another within London and what we really enjoyed was the great & reasonably priced service. The scheduling of the move was fairly easy and I was on the phone with the business owner a few times, just to make sure everything would go smoothly. Being lazy, we ordered the Platinum package, which includes packing up our stuff, moving it to the new flat and putting the boxes in the appropriate rooms. On the day of the move, the movers themselves worked swiftly and communicated well with me. This was by far the most stress-free move I've done and I can highly recommend this service.

These guys packed up my whole house into boxes, carried everything into the van, had minimal tea breaks (although I did try to ply them with as much as I possibly could, I truly believe a tead-up labourer is a happy labourer, a mantra I lived by for 3 years when I was labouring...remember that people!), they broke not a thing and were beyond courteous. We were moving when my girlfriend was 9 months pregnant and when they saw this, they even offered to come back a few days later to the new house and move a few pieces of furniture when we knew where we wanted things to go, at no extra charge. Seriously, Dan, you are running a five star outfit here and cannot thank Uli enough for recommending you to us. Oh, and of course they come back for the boxes a few days/weeks later when unpacked. Without a doubt, the best chunk of money i have ever spent.
