I had great hopes for this Eye Care practice but have been very disappointed. My first visit more…read morethan a year ago went well enough.... So this year I brought my wife. This year has been a nightmare. I was assigned an appointment with Dr Hammond for glasses and contact lenses. During the exam, I asked for a glasses prescription for normal progressive lenses, and also a glasses prescription for 'computer' glasses which are simply progressives optimized for 36 inch viewing distance. I've had other eye care providers accommodate that request without hesitation. But not Dr Hammond. She flatly stated "No, I don't do that." Confused, I tried to clarify, at which point she became visibly agitated and curt. She said that "isn't how she works" and that the lab making the glasses could just adjust my prescription to make me computer classes. Wow. Never had an eye doctor express any concern with that request, and in fact a doctor at one of the chain eyecare places is the one who suggested it initially years ago. Then came the contacts. Here I asked for three lenses. Basically a far/near split contacts prescription and a third lens prescription for my right eye so I could swap out the near vision contact and wear far/far contacts in certain situations. She agreed, and wrote two prescriptions, but the office is refusing to provide a signed copy of the second prescription. Keep in mind this is a service I PAID FOR... so it's not like I'm asking for a favor. As an over 50 diabetic, I have special concerns regarding eyecare. Had high hopes for Comprehensive Eyecare of Central Ohio, but am beyond frustrated, moving toward disgust. So now my only recourse is to warn others via reviews on as many platforms as possible. TLDR: Go somewhere, anywhere, else!!! You'll avoid paying good money for curt attitudes and broken promises.

Of course, it took a minute to locate me. But once they did, I was properly setup in just a few minutes. This was for an eye exam and optic nerve photos. I was told the visit would be 1-4 hours so I expected it to take a while. My physician was on-call which left her dealing with emergency patients while conducting her scheduled patients. At one point I played a game of "What are the differences between Exam Room A and Exam Room B" during my longest wait which was 30 minutes. It's an industry issue - same types of waits at my former eye physician office as well. Even with the wait, the appointment ended up being 3 hours and 20 minutes. All the staff were pleasant. I felt like an individual who was being heard. The decor was generally scarlet and (mostly) grey with some black thrown in. There is a little "cafe" on the first floor but it looks like it's really just a place to pick up a snack or drink while they are open. The building is next to the Spectrum Building at Gowdy Field and is easy to get in and out of. I didn't notice any bike racks. There is a traffic light there but at busy times of day, people will run it, so be careful!

When I originally went in for a Diabetic eye exam after losing my pancreas transplant, she immediately did laser surgery because I'd developed advanced diabetic retinopathy in my right eye, with no symptoms. She saved my vision! I went in every 6 weeks for 3.5 years and I'm now down to every 8 weeks. We've been doing injections for the past year or so. All of the nurses and imaging specialists are wonderful. I've been to each location and they have signs letting you know that due to their specialty, appointments may take hours. This particular location has a small waiting room once you're called back, but it's manageable. For the care I've received, I couldn't recommend them more! A special note: Gabby (one of the nurses) was super helpful by suggesting I keep my eye drops refrigerated to help soothe the scratchiness post treatment. She also explained everything she was doing!

Two days later I changed my mind and cancelled the surgeries. A week later the pharmacy says I have 3 prescriptions waiting for pick up. Called and asked why when I had cancelled the surgeries. Was told again that they would cancel everything. Day before cancelled surgery, I was contacted and questioned where I went for my pre-admission testing? So I called again and cancelled for the third time. Seems someone does not do their job!

It was extremely frustrating and the woman at the front desk was short with me about all of it. I was really disappointed in how all of this was handled.

(Both in width and in regards to backing out of). People fly in this lot, so be careful. The building itself is older. Its near the city so its a bit of a hike for me and not my favorite OSU location, mainly due to the lot. They have renovated the inside of the building and it looks better than it had five years ago but still many walls are painted in a dismal institutional beige. Checking in is easy. There is a front dest. She routes you to a numbered stall where your information is verified. Then they give you directions to find your docs practice location. Tip: If they tell you go to the Brutus hallway that is aka as "to the right" of the front desk. I saw my sports doc here for an ankle injury: Dr Anthony. He is definitely 5+ stars. He is very good at listening to what is bothering you as well as he is examining/diagnosing/treating the injury. So far, I have avoided surgery, but he does that as well. . Highly recommend him as I have been seeing him since before 2020. He has multiple offices.... Usually see him in New Albany.

Physician, Dr. Joanna Peng…read more When entering the room, she does not give good eye contact or communicate well with her patients doesn't show much concerned about their issues at hand and very quick with answer to your concerns of health. when and if your in pain shows, Dr. Peng has no compassion and her staff, including Nurse by name of Kaitlyn, Is also very rude to patients as well hopefully Management will speak to her self Dr. Peng and staff to be more professional and caring to patients. Of course, every patient has to make their own decision, but I do not recommend this physician to anyone's care. We all have moments where we are not having our greatest day, but should never be brought to work. Always care for others, and of course, patients should always show respect to staff as well.

I was a new patient, and he really took the time to listen to me and get to know me. So great!

After trying them I decided to see a cateract Dr I was told that I needed surgery in both eyes. When I tried to return the contacts they refused saying it was their POLICY to not accept them after 3 months. The package says that they are good until 2031 I'm out $200! From brands like Lacoste, Champion, Nike, and Ray-Ban. I had an appointment at 3:30 and they got me in sooner which is ideal for a Friday. The building is clean and has a bathroom in case you really need to go! Outside is landscapes and the building has a new artwork on side! Check out the pic.
