There have been one or two exceptions but I have been otherwise impressed. The campus is great, and the faculty and staff are dedicated and helpful. I have thus far been very satisfied with OSU Newark. Now time to drive 45 minutes to class... the only downside is if you live in Columbus! But having access to the building and ample parking is a huge pull. Beautiful art all around the campus, and near one of the biggest Native American mounds on the continent.

If you hang out in the same spot for an hour, you're bound to see a janitor walk by a few times- they are working to ensure the campus bathrooms, hallways, etc. are clean at all times. The size is perfect for getting around quick to any building. There are several parking lots located around campus. Parking is typically an issue for students during busy hours; often students will find themselves parking on the opposite end to walk to a morning class (but "opposite side of campus" is not far of a walk, don't be fooled by the negative connotation of the remark). At the moment I am writing this review, there are 6 main student buildings and another is in the process of being built. The buildings are a mix of older and newer buildings- but nonetheless are well kept. Overall, a huge plus for the city of Newark. Beautiful and practical small campus away from the madness of Columbus.

Great memories over four years at Denison University's athletic complex in Granville Ohio with…read moreWashU Swimming. The complex is maybe ten years old, but looks new. It houses indoor track, tennis and swimming. My visits after Thanksgiving have been at their annual Denison Invitational Meet with my son. The school uses the opportunity to fundraise the local food bank. My specific experience with the school is through swimming only. So the rating has nothing to do with academics, although I know from ratings and word of mouth it is a strong D3 school. The pool is a looker. It's a 50 meter with diving wells. They also installed a very large spectator area to hold large events like conference and the Denison Invitational. However, a star deduction with air quality issues over the years. This makes competing much harder. So long Denison University. My son has graduated out of this meet and it will be missed. Not just the facility, but the people and memories it holds.

The first time that I went there to watch a Special Olympics Powerlifting competition, there was a pool that was smaller than it is now before the Trumbull Aquatic Center was built. The pool is very fast and recently hosted the South Central Regional Swim Meet for Special Olympics Ohio. The lockers were great, except there was no hot water to take a shower possibly due to the weather. I would to come back to the Trumbull Aquatic Center at The Mitchell Center to swim with an alumni person and current team members. Thank you Denison University for the Aquatic Center.

I attended some cultural events and they were great. + Great selection of majors and courses. + Somewhat prestigious. + In beautiful Ohio. The not-so-good: - Expensive. - Kind of in the middle of nowhere. Gambier is nothing..... - Therefore, kind of far from a decent town. Columbus is your best bet.... Misleading, doesn't care for their students, uses a high stakes exam to weed out nursing students…read morein their last semester. Tells students to shut their mouths... the list goes on. Very unprofessional & falsely influx's their NCLEX pass scores by setting up a made up number with an exit exam to allow people who they think will pass to take the NCLEX. High turnover rates, threatens students, and doesn't care about anything other than money. You're better being on a state schools nursing wait list than to pay $50K+ to get through the whole schooling and be told you have to pay an extra $3000 to retake a class although you passed it. A waste of time, money and resources.

I've been doing a bit of a tour of small college athletic facilities lately; maybe I should do more reviews and make a list. Anyway. I was very impressed with this place. It's a fairly new building. The architecture is somewhat interesting, and the layout works well. The court itself is a great place to see a game. Sound and lighting were good, fan access was great, the bleachers were comfortable. Restrooms and concessions are convenient. All in all, a great place to visit. And we won. I had hoped to visit the Glenn museum but it's closed this time of year. The town is small, and we didn't see much of it. The school is also small but the campus is nice. I don't think I'd mind living there.
