That was over a year ago and my husband is doing ok. Still needs a good infectious disease doctor, but I have the feeling that is a rare thing.

Unfortunately, Dr. Ratnasamy and I didn't meet under the best of circumstances. My wife and I were…read morewrapping up a 30 day "vacation?", from our home in Arizona. It had been stressful to say the least. Most of our time had been spent in the rental car driving to see family from Columbus to Springfield to New Hampshire. By the last week I was drained. For the past 3+ years I have been fighting what had only in the last 3 months been diagnosed as "Valley Fever". It is a fungal infection common to the desert and areas of California. Doctors in our home area of Arizona, who should have been familiar with the symptoms, failed to correctly identify the problem. My wife, recognizing the fact that I was in no shape to go on, parked my butt in the emergency room at Blanchard Valley. The people there were great even though they were unfamiliar with "Valley Fever". Dr. Grace, the admitting doctor told us that "Blanchard Valley was truly blessed to have one of the best infectious disease doctors in the country". I'm thinking, "ok, bring him on, I want to meet this guy". Later that evening Dr. Ratnasamy came into my room and I realized that the admitting doctor knew what he was talking about. I have never felt so comfortable speaking to a doctor for the first time. You could tell that, maybe he doesn't see patients everyday with "Valley Fever" but he sure knew a lot about it. He took over my treatment and I saw him 3 more times before I was discharged. Actually he was the last person I saw that day. He gave me a full set of doctors notes and test results so I could take the back for my Arizona doctors. Ok, this impressed me. What really blew me away was the phone call I got from him last night, over a week since we arrived back home and almost 2 weeks since he had seen me in the hospital in Findlay. How many doctors would take the time to follow up on a patient that chances are they would never see again? Most around here don't even if they are your primary care doctor. Dr Ratnasamy said he was just closing out my file and wanted to check on how I was doing and what my local doctors had said. In my opinion, that's dedication. Dedication to what he does and who he does it for. The world needs more people like him.

My daughter is in Riverside Methodist hospital with sepsis, an infection in her blood. She has 3…read moredifferent bacteria's growing. She receives IVIG weekly for the past 12 years and will get it the rest of her life. My daughter was born with a primary immunodeficiency (Combined Immune Deficiency). Having her IVIG right now is critical to her healing. Dr. McNeil, my daughter's old immunologist, wrote in her chart that under no circumstances should she receive her IVIG treatment. Therefore, the doctors at Riverside will not go against him. The doctor Riverside Methodist hospital uses for immunology consultations is Dr Donald McNeil. He has bad history with my daughter. He was her doctor over 8 yrs ago. He and his wife own an infusion center that my daughter went to. His wife ran it. My daughter was going to have ankle surgery and found out she could do in home infusions. He was angry with her for leaving the center & fired her from his practice. He apparently holds grudges. My Daughter's current immunologist has had to step in 2 other times, most recently 2 weeks ago. This time, yesterday, the 2 doctors ( current immunologist and consultant for Riverside)had words and my daughter's doctor told him to stay away from her because he's doing more harm to her. However, Dr. McNeil is not backing down. Even though he has not physically been in to seen my daughter.

When I tell you my story you will change your mind if you were considering going to this doctor. I…read morecame to this doctor with a referral from my dermatologist due to to the fact that I have many infections. My first visit I waited in the waiting room 52 minutes and 40 minutes in the exam room. He felt that my immune system is pretty good so he said that he wanted me to see an infectious disease doctor. He also agreed that I have many infections. He offered no doctors name for the referral. He told me to just look for a few different infectious disease doctors and that he would send the report. So I found a couple different infectious disease doctors and called his office for the referral. I did the legwork. The next thing you know I get a call from Samantha telling me that Dr. McNeil would referr me to an infectious disease doctor that he knew. So I'm wondering why didn't he give me the name of that doctor while I was in his office? So I finally get a referral over to the infectious disease doctor and they say they need bloodwork & all test that were done so I have to go back to Samantha again to tell them to send this stuff. She says Dr. McNeil is out of town but he will be back on Wednesday and that she will talk to him and they will get the blood test together & whatever the infectious disease doctor needs and that they will send it to him. She also discussed with me that maybe I should consider getting a different urologist. At no time did they say they were not going to send the referral so I wait until Fridayand call the infectious disease doctor back. They tell me they never received the referral with the test results. I called Samantha back to be told that they weren't going to send the referral they just feel that I need to get a new urologist. The communication in this office with the patient unbelievably horrible. I have a doctor telling me he wants me to see an infectious disease doctor but yet they never send over any of the blood test that the infectious disease doctor needed. No one communicated with me as to what her and the doctor talked about on Wednesday and they knew that I was waiting for those test to go over to the infectious disease doctor. When you have infections your entire life this kind of treatment really gets you down and just makes me want to just give up on finding any kind of a true, caring, professional doctor. You won't get it from this office.

They told me iI was covered by insurance so I accepted treatment and for 3 weeks paid the copays that they told me I would owe. We…read morehave no health insurance we are self pay and pay cash 100% in full for every medical expense. After paying an initial $170 for the assessment we were assigned to a counselor. Our 2nd appointment the counselor came out 15 minutes late, never even acknowledged the fact that she was late and promptly brought him back out at 11 o'clock. 10 minutes into his appointment I step into the hallway to take a phone call and I see his counselor leaving the kitchen with a cup of coffee!! After the appointment my teenage son comes out with a piece of paper she had him draw a picture of how he feels. She printed off a sheet of paper from the computer from 2017 that talks about mindfulness meditation. He told me she did not talk much and he had to produce most of the conversation. He told me he didn't want to be mean but he thinks this is a complete waste of time. Upon learning all of these things I called the office to express my concern. The administrator talked to the counselor and the counselor completely made up a lie and said that she kept my son 15 minutes passed the appointment since she was late. That is completely false. I know this because after her being late then seeing her in the hallway during his appointment I decided to check my watch to see what time he came back. 11:02. Also her office was down the hall from the waiting room I was in. He had to close the appointment walk out of her office, out of that waiting room, down the hall and into the sitting area I was in. She did not come get me at the end of the appointment to see if I had any questions or concerns or even if I wanted to reschedule. She lazily sent me an email asking when the next time we can schedule. 2 weeks prior to this appointment I had to call and reschedule an appointment I had due to financial reasons. I did not want to cancel the appointment I was simply requesting to or move it 2 days later. I understand policy is policy and they charge $75 if you do not cancel or reschedule 48 hours prior to your riginal scheduled appointment. She Charged me That day for $75. I found out today the reason in the computer for my cancelation was I "overslept my alarm". That is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard in my entire life!! First of all I have 3 children, all of which are in school. No way am I actually in bed at 11 o'clock in the morning, certainly not over sleeping my alarm. That kind of thing has not happened to me since I was 17!! I have never written a bad review on a company. I am so incredibly frustrated with my experience here. Absolute lies coming from professionals. Drew puts a timer on her clients and just tries to rake every single dollar she can get out of you. Stay away from Drew, she only sees dollar signs and certainly her quality of work is not $140 per hour!!
