I have a story with a happier ending! We welcomed our beautiful baby girl into the world two weeks ago, and Stapleton OB/GYN was with us every step of the way. Dr. Rustici was our main OB throughout my pregnancy, and she is phenomenal. Everything everyone in these reviews has said about her is true. She is calm, patient, friendly, and completely puts you at ease. My first appointment I started crying as soon as she came in the room because I was so scared that the initial ultrasound would reveal something was wrong, but she articulated my feelings beautifully, calmed me down, and suggested we jump right into the ultrasound, where she confirmed everything was perfect. The rest of my pregnancy was uneventful, but as a first time mom I still had TONS of questions and Dr. Rustici always took the time to thoroughly answer all of them. When she was unavailable I would see other doctors, and all of them were great to work with. This was important because I knew when it was time to deliver I would be working with whichever doctor was on call, and I wanted to be familiar with as many as possible. When the day came, Dr. Pederson was the on-call doctor, and luckily I had seen her twice throughout my pregnancy. She was AMAZING during the delivery! She was so calm and encouraging, and would coach me with direct eye contact and a soft, calm voice. I was so surprised and impressed with how well this method worked for me. It felt like there was no one else in the room, and I felt so supported. It was great! It also only took like ten minutes, which helped (haha). My only issue with Stapleton OB/GYN is the office staff can be really inconsistent. While some are phenomenal, some seem less enthusiastic. Of the four times I had bloodwork done, it needed to be redone twice because of phlebotomist labeling errors. One time I arrived for an appointment, which was shown in My Chart and which I received a confirmation text for, and had multiple people saying "was your appointment scheduled?" "Why wasn't she on the schedule", etc. It was office error, but made me feel really awkward, and I was seen almost an hour past my appointment time. Despite this, the doctors are so exceptional, and that's why we go to this office. I felt in such good hands throughout my pregnancy, and especially throughout my first child's birth, and I will come here for any future pregnancies to make sure those kiddos are treated just as well! Still traumatized by my birth experience with Dr Rompel 2 years later. I asked for no cord cutting or clamping post delivery. Did she clamp the cord immediately & then cut it about 3 minutes later?? Yes. Yes she did... I asked for a natural birth with no interventions & did she still end up using the vacuum to deliver my daughter?? You bet she did.... I asked for no vaccinations whatsoever & they still pressured me into giving my daughter a vitamin K shot, which babies don't even need!! Babies start to produce vitamin K naturally a few days out of the womb...There is no vitamin K in the vitamin K shot!! The synthetic vitamin K shot does not include any of the natural forms of vitamin K found in leafy greens (V1) or butter (V2). Instead, the synthetic "vitamin" in this shot is called phytonadione and includes: - Phenol (carbolic acid, a poisonous acid in coal tar) - Benzyl alcohol (preservative) - Propylene glycol (also known as an "edible" antifreeze) - Acetic acid (an agent that stops, or kills microorganisms) - Hydrochloric acid - Lecithin - Castor oil We think doctors are great people because they're doctors (some are) but just because someone has an MD title on their degree, doesn't make them a good person & Dr Rompel was a shining example of that. I was not at Stapleton OB-Gyn very long because I was really disappointed with my experience there. Dr. Hittson was kind but aside from the two in-office appointments I had with her, I never heard from her and it felt sort of impersonal. In my opinion, being able to contact your doctor is a top concern and Stapleton OB-Gyn was HORRIBLE with this. They constantly released test results to my portal without any explanation or follow up phone call and it would take days for me to reach someone who could explain them to me. Twice I used their online appointment request service and didn't ANY response. No thank you! read more

I have nothing but good things to say about Dr. Rustici. She was so helpful through my miscarriage in 2016 that I knew she was the Dr. I wanted to go to through my pregnancy with a year later. Pregnancy can be scary but I left feeling good and reassured after every appointment. During my labor and delivery all of the nurses were raving about her being the best Dr.-I agree. I moved further from her office but if I have another baby I will make the drive to continue seeing her. Her staff is very friendly. I never had to wait to see a Dr. more than five minutes and the office is nice. Five stars! read more

I have never been so disappointed in a doctors office. I rarely write reviews, but I felt the need to let new mammas out there know about this place. I made an appointment to see Dr. Pederson as I had just found out I was pregnant with my first. I arrived to the office at 2:05 and my appointment was at 2:15. They proceeded to tell me that they couldn't take me because I was not there 20 minutes early. I apologized for not being there 20 minutes early and made it clear that I'd really appreciate it if they could make an exception as I just found out I was pregnant. They proceeded to tell me that the doctor wouldn't take me and that they didn't know the appointment was for a pregnancy. They asked me how far along I was and I told them 5 weeks. They then said well since you're not 8 weeks the doctor definitely won't see you. They then proceeded to tell me that "they don't do check-ups at 5 weeks because something could happen and they don't want to disappointment me." I will NEVER go back to this place and I'm absolutely outraged that they turned away a newly pregnant women (with her first child) who made an appointment. Isn't this their job? I left the office in tears and they could have cared less. If you are pregnant or want a doctors office with any sort of compassion stay clear from this place! I wonder what happens when you give birth late, do they just tell you the doctor won't be there because you're past your due date? If you're looking for any assistance or medical care for non estrogen based birth control...DO NOT COME HERE!! To start I have no complaints in regards to Dr. Rustici. She's always been my go to and is so welcoming and gentle she's great. The office and procedures however, are lacking. Back in 2013 a partnered doctor (literally the office next door) put me on estrogen based birth control to stop my heavy period that would not stop. With PCOS I asked if this was safe. She assured me it was. Within a week I felt I was getting short of breath. When I called she told me to take the meds at night to avoid the side effects. Turns out I was short of breath because I was having clots and they had broken off in my lungs creating Pulmonary Embolism. By the time I got to the hospital, I almost died. When I called the doctor, they sent me the disclosures that I signed, no apology or solution or recommendation to change my med out. I then met Dr. Rustici and she recommended Nexplanon a progesterone based birthday control since estrogen has a link with clots and with PCOS I make too much estrogen anyway. Jump forward to 2016 threes later when it's time to replace the nexplanon. I got so much push back. They were the one la who put it in but now they were pushing back to replace it. I don't need this to stop babies, I need my birth control to keep the blood inside my body so it's not "optional" or a "luxury" and I have good insurance. After weeks and weeks a receptionist recommended I contact planned Parenthood and they replaced it. Now it's 2019 and they ensured me it would be no problem to replace. I just needed to provide my insurance and sign some disclosures. In July of 2019 my nexplanon is about 2 months from expiring and my period has come back and has lasted 10 days at this point. I went down to the office signed the disclosures, provided my insurance, and was ensured they'd contact the insurance company and they'd get me in shortly. I call a week later and they tell me it's still in works. I hear nothing for 2 weeks so I call back for update. I'm then told they never got my request and email the form to sign and ask me to upload my insurance card and send it via email. I sign the disclosures and return it along with my insurance please note, my period is now going for about 45 days. Middle of August I hear nothing so I call back only to be told I was sent the incorrect form and I need to sign a new one. I drive down and sign the paperwork and once again I'm ensured they'll get right on it. Enter September. No one has called me no emails, so I call and they tell me they don't have my request at all. I go back down sign another form and by this time I'm 70 days on my period and I tell them my medical concern and how I have a clotting factor and need to get this under control ASAP. No appointment is offered and I'm told it'll be about 2 weeks. I am at home in November the week before thanksgiving and I pass out. At the urgent care I'm told I'm severely anemic and need a blood transfusion they ask and I inform them my medical history and that I've been actively bleeding for over 90 days. I call the office tell them I've been given a transfusion due to not having my nexplanon and explain the urgency. The "manager" says she'll work on it and once again nothing. When I call they tell me they don't have my insurance card and to send it in. They did not care that I've been sending in the documents since July, that I'm actively bleeding with no stop, that I've been hospitalized had to get a blood transfusion, or the fact that they are the ones who put the first one in and have my medical records and know this is life or death for me. So here I am, sitting at Planned Parenthood telling people to see Katie for their exams but do not get and form of birth control care here. I've had an active heavy period since July and they do not care and continue to drop the ball. DO NOT COME HERE! read more

Wish I had listened to my gut instinct and paid attention to the poor google reviews of this place. I am twenty weeks pregnant and have been suffering since July 4th with a severe vaginal infection. I have now been on four antibiotics, multiple creams, have been in to this practice five times, and have taken multiple days off work. I have been shuffled around from Doctor to Doctor due to their constantly booked schedule. Dr. Peralta asked "are you confusing having to pee a lot due to your pregnancy with an infection" and was extremely condescending. Dr. Kim put me on three antibiotics that did nothing and seemed to not have great communication with the other Doctors who had seen me. I had previously had a great experience with Dr. Pederson but she is on maternity leave and after dealing with pain and irritation longer than a month without relief I was already ready to leave the practice but wanted to try to get my issue cleared up first After calling twice, pleading to be seen because of the irritation I was in the front desk said they would be able to squeeze me in at 8am today. Unfortunately I received a reminder that the appointment was actually at 8:30. I checked my online chart which confirmed the same thing. I showed up for my 8:30 appointment ten minutes late due to traffic and zero street parking. When o got there Dr. Kim refused to see me "because he had been there since 8 and I missed my appointment time." When I pointed out that they had sent me the wrong time the front desk said I was ten minutes late for that so they wouldn't see me. I work at a Doctors office. I understand not being able to see patients when they are late but ten minutes, when the patient is in pain? When the patient has taken off work and has been dealing with this issue for over a month?! To me was completely ridiculous. I am not perfect in this, I am aware but a Doctor should never turn a patient in pain away. This office has poor Doctor to Doctor communication, is difficult to get into be seem even when the patient is in pain, and worst yet has very poor patient care. Do Not Go Here. Women deserve better and more compassionate health care. Period. read more

I literally cannot say enough about Dr Rustici. She came highly recommended and helped me have a successful VBAC when I didn't even realize that was a possibility. Her bedside manner is amazing, and she is such a caring and conscientious doctor. I saw her partner Dr Kim as well on one occasion. I've seen three different providers at Stapleton OB-GYN in the last four years that I've been going here for care. All of which have been phenomenal and helpful. I've struggled with infertility and each of them have helped put me at ease and have informed me of what to expect. I've had zero trouble getting appointments when I needed, and have always felt heard with my concerns. I have a fairly advanced medical vocabulary for someone who isn't in the medical field and Can generally deal with quite frank discussions about my health but even so I've experienced nothing but compassion. read more

I moved to Denver in June 2017. Finding a new OB/GYN was a little intimidating as I've had the same OB/GYN for over 30 years. I am so happy that I found Dr Rustici. Being a new patient, I wanted to be able to discuss all my history with her. I was concerned that I might be taking up too much of her time but she made me feel so comfortable and not only did I have the time to discuss my history, she also provided extra time for a procedure so that I wouldn't have to come back for a second visit. I'm so surprised by the high reviews. It's absolutely impossible to get an appointment. They canceled 2 appointments of mine in the course of a month and when I came in 10 minutes before my actual appointment they told me I had to reschedule because the paperwork would take 20minutes. Not to mention they have a very small window of appointment options to begin with. Perhaps the doctors are good if you can get an appointment. Please hire more doctors or staff to accommodate the needs of Stapleton. read more

Absolutely amazing. I just moved to Denver, and I didn't think that anyone could be kinder or make me feel more comfortable than my last OBGYN. Amanda is seriously the nicest doctor you could ever find. I had an abnormal pap and a few more issues that I was pretty scared about, and she made me feel so safe and comfortable. She answered all my questions and made me feel right at home. Seriously the best OBGYN I have ever had. Unfortunately, I can't remember the name of her nurse, but she was absolutely wonderful as well. I left the practice smiling and feeling so much better because of these two wonderful women. The reviews of this place are so spot on. Great staff, welcoming to everyone. Great front desk team (usually make or breaks a medical practice in my experience as a patient). Nurse Practitioner Fuller did a great job of making me feel comfortable and encouraging me to take control and move forward with my goals of natural birth control. She more than answered all of my questions and persisted in making sure I had no remaining concerns. Sometimes at the doctors it can be too easy to leave questions un-asked. I appreciate NP Fuller giving me multiple opportunities to speak up and inquire about my health. read more

I had previously been a patient of Dr. Laura Boyer. Upon hearing that Dr. Boyer was leaving the practice, I promptly scheduled an appointment with Dr. Katie Rustici to see if she would be a good fit for my long-term care; and, if not, I was planning to find another clinic. Well thank God for Dr. Rustici. She is, hands down, the best OB/Gyn in Stapleton. She is friendly, attentive, professional, and truly cares about her patients. After speaking with the nurses, I found out that even when she isn't on call, she will drop everything to deliver one of her patient's babies! That kind of patient care is hard to come by these days. I've been going to the Exempla Stapleton OB-GYN for several years now and was previously a patient of Dr. Ginsberg's. She recently left to start her own practice, and, unfortunately, her new location was not convenient for me. I elected to continue coming to this location and...what a great surprise! Dr. Rustici was awesome! She took plenty of time to talk with me since I was a new-to-her patient, answered all of my questions, and had great questions in return. Dr. Rustici was personable, well-spoken, knowledgeable, and has a great bedside manner. The office is very well run by the practice manager, Crystal Jarvis, and their customer service is excellent. I am always seen promptly at my appointment time and there is very little waiting. Additionally, the staff is always helpful with scheduling additional appointments, refilling prescriptions, and providing referrals to other doctors. The waiting area is always clean and tidy, as is the rest of the facility. It's important to me that the doctor's office is somewhat updated/modern. (When I see a threadbare waiting room chair, I want to run!). This office is very comfortable/welcoming with updated colors and furnishings. I made sure to do my research when it came to a "Lady Doctor" because I have had some awful experiences/misdiagnoses/unnecessary procedures here in Denver. I found Dr. Rustici while researching Docs in the area and after reading some of her recent positive reviews, I finally decided to make the appointment... and I am SO HAPPY that I did! After going to Stapleton OPBGYN, I can say that I have never had a more quality experience with a gynecologist. You can tell that Dr. Katie understands how going to a "Lady Doctor" is a vulnerable experience. She made me feel comfortable, she listened to what I had to say, her bedside manner was extremely professional, and she made sure to address each concern/question I brought up without making me feel like I was a waste of her time. I wanted to be a patient at this office because it is close to our home, and I thought I would get great care with how small the office is. However, after my husband and I went to our first appointment (for our first little one!!), we immediately knew this office was not for us. Dr. Ginsburg was very cold and impersonal- definitely not what I was expecting of an OB. About a week later, their medical assistant called to tell me that all of my labs came back normal. A week after they called the first time, they call me again to tell me that the cystic fibrosis test did not have enough DNA in it to give a positive or negative result! I will be having the test (and other OB care) elsewhere, and they are still making me pay for the test! I would not recommend this office to anyone! read more

I had a new patient appointment set up for a annual exam I told them I was pregnant at the time and the scheduling lady said nothing. I called the day of to see if we could add a pregnancy panel on since my midwife requested I see if they will do one for me. I actually am not one that typically writes reviews...but I feel as if this office needs 10 stars. I have to preface that I HATE going to the OBGYN. I usually leave in tears due to so much anxiety. I have seen both Dr. Rustici and Dr. Boyer and I cannot say one negative word if I tried. Both are friendly, knowledgable, caring and have great bed side manner. Also, the office is modern and updated and the staff is always wonderful. One of the times I went I had a very long wait time (~45 minutes) to even be called back but they made up for it with their great attitudes. I think that was just an off day. read more

From the moment I stepped foot in this office, to the moment I said goodbye, I felt like I was in the best care around. The receptionist was extremely welcoming, sweet, and kind - she answered all of my questions professionally and respectfully, and made sure I felt welcomed into the office. The process of getting checked in was quick and easy - I was in a room of my own within 5 minutes of checking in. Dr. Boyer was absolutely wonderful. She was attentive and comforting, all the while professional and informing. This was the first time in a year that I've had a doctor actually take me serious in some symptoms I've been experienced, and she was able to figure out exactly my problem and help me to start a treatment plan. I won't go anywhere else after my visit here - definitely try them out! You will not be disappointed.
