The management sucks here. They don't fix anything. The car wash is broke, the facilities are broke, can't get pest control. Calls and requests go unanswered and even ignored. Now to the trash.... Oh boy! The trash here is like living in a 3rd world country. The trash is absolutely horrendous. They have a compactor that's always broke so they use a dumpster that over flows and people dump trash and even entire houses on the corner and it goes un-addressed for months at a time. I'm so embarrassed to live here and have friends come over and they have to drive past the trash. It's not like they don't know, it's right in front of the club house. It really is they don't care. After 3.5 years at the Crest, I was beyond shocked and angry to receive an outrageous bill after vacating. I had been a great resident who had taken care of my home there, in spite of it falling apart around me from age and poor maintenance from management, not to mention the mice. I was told by management upon walk through that I had "nothing to worry about, it was all normal wear and tear". The OLD refrigerator handle literally broke off in my hand this week. I left 3 bags of trash for valet, because I PAID for that service. Then I receive a bill for $435!!! I cleaned, patched nail holes, besides some "normal wear & tear" I left the apartment in good shape before I walked out. Some small expenses I could understand but this is abusive and I will never recommend the crest to anyone. I will make my experience known so others understand the "luxury" and "caring about residents" is a fascade. It's all about squeezing every penny out of people, people who are struggling to survive in this economy. My recommendation is to look elsewhere. read more

Patio closer has been leaking for 8 months, roaches have been out of control for 8 months, "luxury" not so much. The paint is noticeably mismatched and blotchy throughout but was also never fixed, even after 8 months. Pray they never remodel a unit next to yours because the workers are there at 7am on weekends using insanely loud equipment and blasting music -- and then are rude as anything when you ask if they can turn it down a little so your kids can sleep. If there's anywhere else available to you, choose that over this place. read more

Unfortunately it's true.... They do have mice. I seen the mice droppings on the stairs. They're in the walls. Check the droppings outside near the doors. Fill all your holes in the bathroom under the sinks. And in the laundry room. I caught one in the kitchen right near the refrigerator. I noticed my dry items like flour were bitten open and my beans and chocolate chips. Also my rice. And my strawberry muffin mix. Check the sink in the bathroom, right when you open the cabinet. You will find an open space. Fill it with a wool pad and ready mix cement. Management knows. It's obvious. It's mice droppings on the stairs and near the doors. Nice place. And Jessica is excellent. It's really out of her control. It's the owners. Maintenance is really nice too. I fought the roaches that were infested. I bomb several times. I bought the gel from amazon. I bought the powder for roaches. And the roach motel, and the roach spray indoor outdoor. I felt good that I haven't seen any roaches. Then I started hearing noises in the pantry around 2:00 AM. I'm hoping the one I caught is the only one. I hate to go into the kitchen. I'm terrified to invite company over because I don't know what critter will appear. My daughter and ohna lives here and we came for a visit. I have to say he llve is really nice. It's clean, in good condition, looks like the maintenance team does a good job of taking care of the place. The rent is cheap compared to Hawaii, of course. My daughter has a 2 bedroom/2 bathroom for $1345 a month. They pay for cable, internet and electricity. Her apartment is a good size. The bedrooms are bigger than mine in Hawaii and each bedroom has bathroom. The pool are is really clean and nice. They also have a small fitness center which has 2 weight machines, 1 bike, 1 stairmaster and 1 treadmill. Only thing I hate is the dang muggy weather! Do not rent with them! I Every review lately of these apartments have been 1 and 2 stars. The staff is rude and unhelpful. As a resident, you will feel more like a nuisance than anything else. When I first moved in, the company was owned by Archstone and the apartments were amazing. The staff was friendly and courteous. The apartments are now a Greystar community and the service has gone way down hill. They are rude and incompetent. I just ended my lease with them and they couldn't even tell me what I owed for the last month. I called numerous times, even at noon on the actual due date, and they could not figure out how much half a month's rent would be. I had to guess myself and pay what I thought it would be. They are also very accusatory. I had a neighbor complain about my dog scratching and instead of handling the situation like professionals, they emailed me and accused me of moving illegal pets into the building and that I would need to pay them a $300 fee immediately. I had already paid for the pets and had them all on file with the office when I moved in three years ago. They are constantly doing construction that quite honestly looks like complete downgrades. The construction workers are rude and often leave large messes. They also have taken up most of the parking leaving little to the actual residents. Furthermore, when you go to move out they will knick you for every little thing they can. I lived there for over 3 years and they are still charging me to replace the carpets. I explained that I paid the $300 pet fee when I moved in that should cover the damages and they are refusing to honor it. I would never advise anyone to live in a Greystar community. Its probably a pretty good sign that EVERY single neighbor I knew (ones that had lived there even longer than I had) are all moving out. DO NOT LIVE HERE. read more

A small hiccup here and there but overall it's a great place to live. The front staff is very nice, especially Sarah, and always willing to help. The grounds are kept nice and people are friendly. The maintenance tickets are super quick and maintenance staff is helpful and nice as well. I looked at other places before moving here and this was the far best. No hidden BS like Sable Point- never go there! The only con I think would be no accessible water hoses to clean my porch and huge ant piles that need attending to (because I have a toddler). This place is beyond horrible. I'll give you just a FEW issues that make this place shit. 1. NO concern for safety when it comes to covid 19...forced plumbers into our apt to fix piping that we never had issues with. The complex has no info on how the company the complex hired covid testing on the employees that will be entering our home. My wife and I work from home and our 2 teenagers school from home. 2. Communication does not exist here with the office. We will call 4-5 times and leave VM but get no responses. 3. The trash valet that he can't opt out and still have to pay for sucks. I've had my trash sitting in the valet can since Sunday morning. They pick up S-TH but yet it's still there. 4. Contractors Hired to do ro of repairs or whatever they were doing We had a schedule according to the notice from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. they did not adhere to that schedule they were as late as 6:30 and as early as 7:00. And of course the complex did nothing about it or said anything to the contractors. I thank God I have a place to live but this place has been a curse. Tree branches are falling on vehicles breaking windshields and almost hitting me, the trash that I'm paying for has not been picked up because the front of the building is full of trash. When I moved in 2020 the young lady that was supposed to be helping me with getting me moved in and acclimated suddenly quit or got transferred so they did not have any of my info when I was ready, so of course they gave me the worst place ever the stove was not up to par the fridge was breaking apart. My apartment when I moved in was full of pest such as roaches behind the refrigerator which I try removing every chance I get, and full of spiders inside their explanation was this is Florida. Now they put the rent up $200 up from the base rent of 1300 that I was paying before and I no one did any renovations to my place. One positive thing I can say is the ladies are very patient with rent but on that 3 day they will charge you that late fee real quick. I WILL NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL WASTE OF MONEY. Be very careful renting from this place. The square footage is great, but there is a bit of a roach problem. Maintenance is timely, but management is nearly impossible to get a hold of. They will not answer phones nor respond to emails unless you bug them. We stayed for 14 months. When we signed, we signed for a first floor apartment. A week before we could move in, suddenly it wasn't available because the tenant decided to stay. I had to call and speak with the property manager at the time to fix the issue. A month later we had a major leak in our bathroom from the upstairs unit. They fixed it but left a huge mess in the bathroom. It took several days for someone to fix it anf we had this machine in our house that had to run to get the dampness out of the air. (The pictures that are online on the home page are not real btw. The backsplash kitchen isn't a thing. Look at the 3d tour to get a sense of what it really is.) Another issue we all dealt with in the complex is the one trash compactor. It broke constantly and trash piled up to the point the apartment complex was fined. Upon the end of our lease,, we never got a renewal letter so we decided to leave. We were charged over $500 in damages after being denied a walk through due to covid. When i asked for pictures they were not of our apartment. I have emails acknowledging this. We had the power shut off which is paid through Duke, and it is clear that they had it turned back on and are charging us for it. THEY HAVE ACKNOWLEDGED FALSE CHARGES AS THE BILL HAS COME DOWN FROM 500 TO 200. I am still waiting for a response to my emails. I would suggest renting elsewhere. read more

I've been here for almost 2 years and I've been very happy here. The office staff have always been very respectful and helpful with me. When I have reported repairs being needed, the maintenance guys were here within hours to fix this issue. Even the one time when my ice maker ruptured on Christmas Day, the emergency repair person came by within 20 mins to stop the flood and help get things fixed enough until it could be attended to the next day. In the two years I've been here, the complex has had new siding put on, and a new parking/drive put down, and not just a top layer! I too work some odd shifts and found the noise inconvenient, however it's life in an apartment complex this size. The grounds need upkeep and that's a noisy business, fortunately it's only one day a week. With regards to the write up and picture of the garbage over flowing, I must say that was a one off situation. At least I would like to hope so.I wasn't pleased about seeing that myself, however it is not something I had seen before and it was after a Holiday weekend. I also think it can be attributed to tenants who put furniture and other items into the trash compactor that are not supposed to be there ,that also may have caused that problem. read more

We lived here a total of 4 years. 2 years under Archstone (Great people) and 2 years under Greystar (Horrible people). This property is a beautiful property, but comes with a whole lot of "hidden" extras. The rent was also very affordable but has now skyrocketed to astronomical amounts with the reason given, "we have to stay up with current marker rates". I never understood the concept of having guaranteed money vs anticipated increased income. Anyway, since Greystar took over, residents are now paying for reclaimed water as part of their water bill. Reclaim water is water that is not potable nor even safe for human/pet usage otherwise; it's simply for lawn maintenance which should already be included in your rent for property maintenance. Next, is the rodents that they just can't seem to get rid of. The property is located in a wooded area with bodies of water in and around it. This makes a perfect breeding ground for the mice that keep infesting the apartments. The black racer snakes are helpful and welcomed to keeping the population in check, but will sun bathe and make themselves cozy as they please on patios, walkways, etc. And my most favorite hidden extra - the mold. Yes, the mold. Within a year of taking over the property from Archstone, Greystar started changing the siding for the buildings. Woowee!!! I'll let the pics do the talking. The sheetrock was never replaced on any of the apartments only painted over; so if anyone that ever lived here or still do and suffers severe allergies - BINGO!!! You found your source. Yep folks! Mold City! Then when you move out, don't expect your full deposit back. They're ALWAYS gonna find a way to take some or all of your deposit and pet fee. If you don't mind paying ridiculous rent for a beautiful space nestled in it's own wooded area; and comes fully equipped with it's own rodents and mold...then this is the place for you! read more

When my girlfriend and I found out we were pregnant with twins, we knew we had to move into a bigger apartment. Thus leading us to Central Parkway Apartments. When we first came to look at the complex, we fell in love. The neighborhood was beautiful, there was plenty of parking, and the leasing agent (Misty) assisting us was very personable, attentive and made us feel welcome. She even remembered us the next time we came in which was a month later to sign our lease. When we got our place together we felt that this was going to be a beautiful start for our family and a place to call home for our baby boys. After our first month living here that feeling of "home" quickly started to vanish. My partner, paid our rent on Tues, Sep 1st, 2015 (In person) with a money order (MO) in full, for the price of our apartment. When she went in she spoke to Suzanne and asked her some questions about how to pay rent for future payments (drop box, hand it in person, pay online) to see what would be the most convenient route and then proceeded to hand her the MO. She looked it over and said it was filled out correctly and that it was perfect. Coty was in the office as well when she handed it in. Several days later, (Fri, Sep 4th, 2015) I come home to a notice of eviction on our door stating that we did not pay our rent and that if we didn't pay it within 3 business days we would be evicted. It was Labor Day weekend. Being the only supporter of our family at the moment, working 6 days a week/10 hours a day, I know you can understand that I was pretty upset. I asked my partner what happened and she explained to me that she delivered it in person so there was no room for error on her part. When she contacted the office they said they didn't know where it was, not to worry that it was probably in the manager's desk who locks her office and that she would give us a call when she returned back to work the following Tuesday, after the holiday. In the meantime we sent them the copies of our paystubs for the money orders to their email to verify that we did purchase the money orders on time. I decided to wait to contact corporate because I wanted to see if they would 1. find our rent money and 2. How they would handle the situation. Unfortunately they didn't handle it well. First off, no one ever got back to us. When my girlfriend contacted the office, she spoke to the manager who said she didn't see it in her desk and that she would continue to look for it and contact us when they found it. Again, 4-5 days later, my girlfriend had to contact them. They then stated that we would have to contact western union to get the money orders resubmitted which costs $15 per money order, (we turned in 3 with our rent). Soooo let me wrap my head around this...not only did THEY lose our rent, now we have to come up with another $45 for THEIR mistake? And the only attempt they made to rectify the situation was "Don't worry, you won't have any late charges." "And we'll deduct the price of the money orders from your next rent." Oh really?? Thank you! lol You're kidding me, right? My concern is, why wasn't the person who received our money order questioned or held accountable for her negligence with my hard earned rent money?? What is your procedure when receiving someone's rent? Why wasn't that followed? And why are YOU allowed to put a notice on MY door to kick my family out of our apartment for HER mistake? And i be forced to pay more money for an employee's disregard for my payment? To top it off, anything we've needed done maintenance wise, has also been an issue. Our washing machine sucks. It doesn't clean anything thoroughly, it leaves minor stains in clothing that any functional washing machine would clean, but they sent someone out and said it was fine. Im already over this place and we've only lived here 2 month and we're terrified that when we'll actually need these people to take care of our "home" that they will continue to let us down. The maintenance guys are very friendly and the apartment is beautiful but what good is that when the management is rude, unwillingly to solve any issue and inconvenienced by the people they're here to help? I think you need to take a serious look at these 1 Star reviews and reevaluate what's important for the well being of your tenants. read more

Non stop construction. My mother-in-law lives here so I'm here five times a week, minimum. They've been banging around "working" since January, if not even a little bit before that. They took out windows and left the apartment essentially wide-open other then for some plastic blocking the holes, which rose the electrical bill as the heat had to work overtime to keep the apartment warm. Her screen has been down since the "workers" ripped it down over 3 months ago. They don't seem too hurried to put it back up, but I bet they'd hate it if I "fell" and then sued them for my two story fall. Plus there is crime! Like holy crap there's crime. Muggings, gangs, and just thugs walking around yelling obscenities out to you. It's been problems non stop since she moved in here. If you want to live in a construction zone move here. If you want peace, go somewhere else. I added photos from their website. Those are a joke. In reality these apartments are nothing like that. I also added real photos. If you are looking for a well maintained and managed property STAY AWAY FROM HERE. They don't respect handicapped people. They just took away spaces from several residents that need them. One of them needs a motorized cart. Another one is on a walker. Those are the ones that are my neighbors. I have heard there are at least 6 others that need spaces also. The landscape company maintains the grounds around the office and maintenance shed where corporate would see if they would visit the office. I do have to give Tony and his maintenance staff do a great job. Best of any community I have ever lived in. I have been told that over 35 units vacated in the last 2 months. The residents I am friendly with are just waiting for our lease to end so we can join the mass exodus. Unless they replaced Suzanne York as the manager we won't be renewing and you should look elsewhere. read more

These apartments are a little older, but the rent is much lower than the market average. The property manager takes a personal interest in every issue. Maintenance is awesome and neighborhood is quiet and friendly. Only negative is that trash capacity is insufficient for amount of remnants. read more

I lived here for 2 years, and before I moved out we deep cleaned the whole apartment. We made it cleaner than when we moved in. I also paid to have the carpets professionally cleaned. I used the same company that they use for all of their move out cleans. My cats had also damages a few spots in the carpet, I paid that same carpet cleaning company to repair the carpet. Keep in mind I used THE SAME company that the apartment complex use for all their carpet cleaning, and carpet installations. I inspected their work and took pictures and as they cleaned the last piece of carpet by the front door we walked outside with them and didn't go back inside that way the carpet looked perfect. I went to the office and turned the keys in, we did the inspection with the manager and she told us everything looked great. We were expecting our full deposit back since the manager kept telling us how clean it was and how great it was that we had the carpets cleaned. We waited about 2 weeks for our refund check only to discover they kept our deposit due to carpet damage. Apparently Elite Steam Carpet cleaning called the manager to tell her that we made an appointment and told her specifically where on the carpet had damage and since we paid to have it fixed even though you can't tell there was any damage the office manager still decided to keep our security deposit. What's crazy about all of this is they call the same company back out to do all their estimates, cleanings, and repairs. After this I contacted Elite Steam to ask for a refund since the apartment managers were not happy with their work and they told me no that I had to take it up with the apartment complex. We moved due to my husband being in the military and if it wasn't that we got orders to move across the country I would of took them to small claims court due to their scam. Elite Steam had no right to call the apartment complex to tell them exactly what work I had done. and Central Parkway Apartments had no right to hold that against me. I had receipts and photos, to prove that I took care of everything before we moved out and they didn't care. Don't move here, they will steal every penny they can from you and Elite Steam is a part of their scam. I should of listened to the reviews before I moved here but I needed a place to live with my family. Don't do it. Keep looking. read more

Run from these apartments as fast as you can! I lived there for 4 months last year. The first month a tree branch fell on my car and I had to have my hood replaced, then I had problems with my air conditioner I was told there was nothing wrong. I told them I was going to hire my own air conditioning service, and miraculously they sent someone else and it turned out I had the original unit on the inside of my house! They did get me a new air conditioner on the inside. There are so many other things I cannot list, but I spent a lot of time waiting at home for different people to fix things. Then one day I saw a nest by my refrigerator. Massey was called and they said it was Debris! I'm not sure from what! The next morning I saw a little mouse or rat scurrying from my pantry to underneath my dishwasher. My neighbor above me had rats in her last apartment at central Parkway, so they moved her to a larger apartment, and she had rats again. The neighbors next to me also had that problem. I heard that the people that moved into my apartment after me only lasted 2 weeks. What an expense of moving; they don't seem to care and never fixed the problem. read more

I have lived at Central Parkway for two-and-a-half years, it is much better now that new management has taken over. The new manager Suzanne, is very warm and friendly as is as is Amber and Ramona. Every time that I've ever had a problem all I have to do is go into the office and it is taken care of almost immediately; their maintenance staff is second to none. As is the problem with all communities, overtime siding and paint need to be replaced as well as black top, some residents consider this to be a bother and an inconvenience, I consider it them giving me a nicer place to live. The landscaping company that we have, like others, start out great and get worse over time , however, the office management have been addressing this ongoing issue with the management company, I have every confidence that it will be taken care of soon. If you are looking for an apartment with top-notch staff, friendly residents, average rent and a great location in Altamonte Springs, Central Park Apartments is the place to be. read more

I wrote an unfavorable review back in May. I was very impressed by the quick response I received from the Management team. They have since addressed all of my issues - some of which just can't be fixed due to age of the building or is cost prohibitive. The maintenance team should be commended for their friendliness and responsiveness. I hope the Central Parkway team will continue making improvements to the landscape and interior upgrades. As I begin to consider my options for lease renewal at the end of the year, I hope this Grey Star team will start to recognize loyal tenants and consider incentives for them to renew. May I suggest a month free? Or no price increase for the next lease or how about a discount for first responders? It would also be nice to have upgraded flooring and appliances (as I am sure this would take place after I vacate). Just food for thought. In summary, it is a safe area and close to Wekiva trail, Cranes Roost and I-4. I would recommend this location mainly for those reasons. read more
