Here, the teacher-to-student ratio allows for more one-on-one attention, which helps students excel at a much faster pace. In all the years we've been part of this school, I have yet to see a teacher or staff member without a smile. They are rooted in biblical principles each morning, and they lead by example. That spirit shows in the way they interact with the children and families. I came across a comment from another parent about a billing issue. While I'm sure it was simply a systems error that the school resolved appropriately, I don't believe one isolated incident should overshadow the countless good things this school has provided for our children. No school public or private is perfect, and both must cover costs to remain open. For perspective, public schools cost taxpayers around $25,000 per student each year. Yet, many parents at KCA are not only already paying those taxes, but also willingly investing in their child's foundation years here at less than a quarter of that cost. That sacrifice speaks volumes about the value this school provides parents and students alike. Give credit where credit is due. Parker's Place is a really special place. Children spend time in Prospect Park, nearby playgrounds, exploring the neighborhood, but the school also has a small dedicated backyard. Enrichment includes yoga and music classes. I highly appreciate that even in the last few years, Parker's Place has remained a haven of normalcy where kids can be kids who play, make art, and exercise (rather than virus-vectors).

It strikes me as sad that the school will require adults to wear masks but not children to protect their safety as well. The science is quite clear: masks work. When I asked the school about this, they claimed they have had no cases so are quite confident in their policy. I was pretty shocked to read that because it seems to claim that the policy of no masks works to prevent the spread of Covid. That's obviously luck and not science! I had high hopes for this school but during the pandemic have to choose safety for my child first.

Marist is a Catholic school but is very diverse with learning other religions and cultures. There are even students from other religions attending Marist.
