My last…read morevisit on a Thursday afternoon was to buy a new doorknob and have it re-keyed to to match my current locks. I was quickly greeted by a younger male employee and I told him I was to ask for Mathew. (I called previously to ask about doing this and was told Mathew was the one who was able to re-key) Mathew came out quickly and was super helpful. Very good at what he does and friendly and professional. While he was doing the keying of the doorknob he was approached by a young man with Down's Syndrome that was shopping with his mother. It was difficult to understand what the boy was saying but Mathew stopped what he was doing to listen to the boy and keep eye contact with him. I was so impressed that he took the time to listen to this young man and the other employee was equally as kind helping his mother. These employees were genuine and my new doorknob is perfect!

Since they have moved to the new location on 84th St., I have been in several times and not once has anyone asked me if I need help, which I really do since I don't know the layout of the newer store like I did the old one. We also almost always get our mulch here. Most recently I came here for a hex wrench set. Once when my car key fob wasn't working I came here for a battery change and actually had one of the workers do it for me. Ace Hardware is a place to get information on how to fix things too. It's always our first stop for home improvement.

He prides himself on guiding his customers to the best value and quality decisions for door design considerations in their home. Jay and his team help me select the right door hardware and hinges throughout our home and installed them expertly. Twelve years later, the 'most used door in the house' lockset fails. I contact Jay for a replacement and installation. He advises me that he will contact the manufacturer and ordered a free replacement lockset, I did not know I had a lifetime warranty. Next, I requested installation service call and Jay informed me that installation was very simple and that I could do the work myself.
