Lots of rails and bars and ramps to roll up and down. Lots of open space to ensure that no one gets moving all too quickly. Nothing significantly elevated to a point that Tony Hawk would be feeling challenged in any way. But it is cool and it's a near spot. This unexpected park is the highlight of Kershaw. Plus a number of walking trails and a rad looking skate park. Yes, this playground is huge. All fenced in to keep little ones from wandering off. Unfortunately for folks who live one the west side (along the Vernedale Road corridor), the park - and greenway - is legally not accessible as of 1/1/25 even though there is a narrow footpath that leads in around the metal barricade (left side). A slither of land at the end of this street is still private property. Hopefully, Mecklenburg County can acquire this tiny parcel soon.
