I wont go through everything that was done at my house. Lets just say that no drain worked and no toilet worked. Water came up in places that it shouldn't have. Samuel Allen and his wingman came out, correctly and quickly diagnosed the issues and now we can go about life at home again. Called Central Texas Plumbing 20 days ago. 16 days ago 2 men showed up and talked to me and looked under house a few minutes. They said I would be getting an estimate to re-pipe my bathroom. They took $140.00 and never heard from them again. I was scammed and they should just give my money back. I called Mike Stass who did the work right away. I have used Central Texas Plumbing Solutions twice now. I live in an older house so plumbing issues have kind of become the norm. I have used several companies in the past and finally found a good one! Greg is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. On both trips out he has fixed whatever the problem was quickly and correctly. He has even tinkered with some other things as well (like tightening my spray nozzle in the kitchen because it was loose). I very much appreciate his willingness to go above and beyond. As a single lady homeowner, I'm always trying to DIY to save some cash. So I like to sit and watch workers and ask questions. I'm sure this can be annoying, but Greg didn't seem put out at all. And he gave me a lot of tips on how to care for my pipes in order to prevent major issues in the future. Any time you have to shell out money for plumbing issues seems like too much money, but I feel that their pricing is fair and you are definitely paying for quality work. Called CTP on a Thursday and was told that someone would call me back. Waited until Monday, I called again, was told I would get a call back. The next day I tried again and was told I would get a call back whenever someone could free up but no guarantee when they would get around to it. These guys are too busy to get on the phone. I had two toilets have the mechanisms in the tanks malfunction in the same week. I had to turn the water on/off at the floor each time. On top of that, I stripped the valve on one from all the on/off. I thought I could do it myself, but i'm honestly not skilled at plumbing. I called a few locations and one place said they didn't do this type of work. I liked the reviews I had seen for Central Texas Plumbing and gave them a call. They were very nice on the phone taking my information. Gave me an estimated day of arrival and on the day of repair, and I was called an hour beforehand. Two brothers showed up and were very courteous and professional from the start. Both toilet mechanisms where changed out and the line from the floor on the stripped valve was replaced in less than 45 minutes and the price followed exactly the guidelines I had been told in the beginning. This company is amazing. I had to have some toilets and a hot water heater replaced in a condo for our college students and, as I live out of state, I had a very short time line to get this done. They responded to all my phone calls promptly and when something unexpected came up and the supervisor couldn't meet us to assess what we needed done at the scheduled time, the owner came in his place! They showed up when they said they would and were clean, quiet, and efficient. We hardly even knew they were there and they did a great job! One of my pipes on an exterior wall froze last weekend when temps were in the teens. They were here Monday morning and fixed everything promptly. The repairman said part of the problem was there was not enough insulation around that particular grouping of plumbing. The wall faces north so there is nothing to break the wind when a norther blows through. He said he would have someone come out the next day to add insulation and put the section of siding he had to cut back up. That person was also here promptly on Tuesday. I could not be happier with their promptness, quick repair and fair price. Will definitely be calling them again for future plumbing issues. read more

Got a response and had my leak fixed under my floor the same day I called. The leak required pretty extensive searching. Gregg went out of his way to find the leak (literally; he crawled below the flooring) and minimized the floor-cutting at the same time. Definitely a 5-star experience in terms of service. Technician was right on time, very professional, extremely thorough, and was also very personable. He went above and beyond in cleaning up after he was finished, as well. Really super job. My only critique has to do with pricing. One reason I picked them was because other reviewers noted how much cheaper they are than other plumbers in the area. I can't really speak to how their fee structure compares to others. After he was finished working, though, my technician spent a solid 10 minutes in his truck writing up the bill, then included that time plus "15 minutes travel time" into the billing so that I had to pay an extra half hour for labor. I live within 2-3 miles of their office, so it's not like they had to go way out in the country to get to my house, so I was surprised to see this on the bill. It seemed like a tricky way to charge more for the service, and that soured my experience, but only slightly. read more

They are the best! I just had a break in my main line and my water was shut off by the city which made me super stressed out because I had guests coming to stay at my house that day. I needed water! I called multiple companies and there all either couldn't come out same day or were very expensive. Central Texas plumbing said they were just finishing up a job and would head over in about 20 minutes, and they did just that. They worked hard through the rain and finished in a couple hours. Very poor customer service. Wouldn't send estimate as promised. Put us off by saying they were too busy. If they didn't want to do the work they should say so from the beginning, instead they never called or returned calls or sent an estimate. Then their final excuse, after originally coming out to our home to look at what we wanted done, was that we were too far out & they don't come out that far to do work. We are only 25 miles from their office. Why wasn't that said from the beginning, instead of ignoring us and just not doing anything? I will not recommend them to anyone. I requested a quote for about 15-20 ft copper gas line to install a gas stove. I was quoted $750-850!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Why don't you just say you are not interested in doing the work instead of quoting an insane price? Next quote was $200. read more

Got charged $120 just for the tech driving out, when I wasn't home and couldn't let him in. I went 3 days without hot water, while CTPS was waiting on parts. If you are going to use these guys, make sure you keep in touch with them and hold their hand for the entire process.
