Very disappointing, expensive and time-consuming experience overall. The original quote to repaint…read morehouse was reasonable and we wanted to go with a local small business. Owner seemed great and crew was very friendly and hard working. The job started well but then the first work showed obviously inadequate prep, like painting over old peeling paint and failing to repair or replace pieces of trim that needed to be fixed and that were included in the original specifications. Got that done or redone but then for painting trim around windows they issued a new quote, which nearly doubled the cost of the job and made it more expensive than the competing quotes for more established companies. We went with it anyway because we needed the work finished and didn't have time to find a new painter. But this all dragged on for months, with the crew only present for short periods, and only showing up when specifically badgered to do so. Even now, about 7 months in they still have debris all over the place (though much we've had to clean up ourselves), including empty paint cans and broken glass from several storm windows that they broke in handling, or that broke after falling because they were reinstalled improperly (with others left off entirely). They also failed to fix siding damaged presumably while power washing, and left a substantial part of the original job unfinished despite promising it's completion for months, with a portion of the house still draped in tarp to keep out weather. At this point they seem to have ghosted us entirely, despite regular friendly enquiries and reminders. So all in all this seems to have been a big mistake and we are back to hunting for someone who will take on a relatively small and unappealing job that we still just don't have the time to do on our own.

This company put in a 420' fence for me. It is adequate but I made some mistakes dealing with them…read moreI won't make again with anyone. One, they convinced me they could install it over the holidays when I was out of town so I wasn't there to check on it. And second, before the final details were finished they told me I could trust them to come back and finish the part in the contract that was missing the following week if I paid them in full, not smart of me. They also left rolls of wire and palettes and I had to call them twice to pick them up, which took two trips and two calls and I don't think the office knew it was there. There were other missed communications between the three parts of the company I dealt with, the planner, the crew, the office. (I do regret making calls to return all the wire left behind since I could be using it now to finish the job but it seemed like the right thing to do then.) They promised for months "next week" but did not finish the job. This meant I made many phone calls, emails and texts to get no results, so tiresome. The fence is standard and good quality so if you are watching over them I think they can do it.
