This clinic is really nice, but I was treated by the two women (Melissa and Valerie I think?) who…read morework there and they're both super friendly and sweet, make you comfortable and all that, but they kind of messed me up by not checking my file for a potentially dead tooth. Valerie did my filling in 2013, no problem there. Melissa is the one I saw this year. I had a deep cavity filled in 2013, had 50% chances of it dying, kind of forgot about the fact they told me that by winter 2015 when intense pain bothered me all winter, and when I went in to get it checked out, they used up my whole 1000$ of insurance on other fillings BEFORE even checking if my tooth was dead even though it said there was a 50% chance that it would be. I went back when the pain was still there and that's when they did the electro test to determine that it was actually dead and told me it would need to either be extracted or get a crown. I was kind of upset that I would have to pay out of pocket, because if they had tested right away, I would've used my yearly insurance on that instead of fillings that weren't pressing at all, but it was too late. I asked if they could give me a discount to remove my tooth to make up for it, Melissa said she'd ask Chiasson since he's the owner, but since it was too close to my sinus for them to feel comfortable removing it in their office, I had to be referred to ECOS anyway and had to pay that out of pocket. I'm kind of hesitating on whether I want to return there now or change dentist because of the whole experience, even if they're really nice... I get that I should've remembered that my filling wasn't guaranteed, but they're the dentists, not me, shouldn't they have checked my file before offering me like 6 fillings on unrelated teeth to the one I had pain on...?
