I just returned home from my 4th visit to Voyageur, the last 3 in as many years, and it's by far my…read morefavourite place to go camping. We stay at Portage campground (there are 4 campground all together), because it's by far the most wooded and private. The lots are huge, and almost completely closed in. It's difficult to hear anyone else unless they are being very loud, which you're not supposed to do. There is a "no excessive noise at any time" rule in place. The lots are so big that we had room for 3 tents (a 3 person, a 4 person and a 6 person tent) plus a 12 x 12 screen house and two cars. We rented two lots as we were a group of 8 people, and put the picnic table from the other lot on ours and still had plenty of space for everyone to move around, set up outdoor games, and sit, distanced, around the fire. I will only plan camping trips here.

Little gem I found motorcycling on the outskirts of Laval and Montreal.. $15 tent camping…read morebeachfront , super friendly staff with some fun patience and easy going nature even if I don't speak local language well by any means .. amazing butcher shop down the road and cute town nearby make an easy stop over or dbl nighter if you need a break from the road .. looks like loads of amenities, restaurant , ice, wood etc .. even a friendly neighbour who threw over an extension cord for those tenters who might need to charge their phones, and invited me over to take a beer with him and friends .. very nice people all around this place .. worth the stop over .. We waited over a year to be able to visit the wonderful parks of Quebec (Covid times if you are…read morefrom the future). This park is less than 1 hour from Ottawa and has a wonderful discovery. There is a lunch point for canoes or kayaks near the main entrance and some campgrounds. We came here for the hike, the hike itself is a 6.6 Km trail that is suited for bikes (very wide and flat) The trail is super easy and with an 8 and a 4-year-old it took us 2-3 hours to complete with plenty of stops. Some of the trails are not for bikes and they could be detoured (with other trails) but those are the most beautiful and must hike trails (including a wonderful swamp part). So if you are on a bike, consider locking it and walking those parts. Mosquitos- when we did the trail is was a bit windy and with a lot of dragon flies, so no mosquitos here. Also, there are only short parts in the woods most are an open space paths. Overall wonderful discovery and a beautiful park !

Jean guy leclerc has owned this spot since 1985, they have a large piece of land and the family helps out on it. They have regulars who come up with their trailers for the summer and leave September 15th ( that's when they close) Awesome family and to be honest great location. You're not far from town (saq,bank, restaurants, gas etc) and you're right beside the river. There's so much more to do on this river I can't wait to return.

Friendly owner, fluent in French and English. Many regulars that come for the whole season. Beautiful location. Went camping here a few weeks ago, and I loved what the park had to offer…read more They have a modern discovery centre that has bathroom facilities even when the centre is closed. The outhouses were not bad at all either, equipped with hand sanitizer. Our rustic campsites were spacious, but we chose one that was a bit too open. The neighbours didn't arrive until later so it was ok. The trails were very well maintained. Didn't feel like I was hiking an intermediate trial because there was no treacherous terrain to climb through. We had to leave early because there was a storm and it got too cold, but I'd love to come back and see the rest of the huge park!
