The chalets are very close to grocery store and Tim Horton's (always important lol) the hot tub and heated private pool was enjoyed much of the days and always before bed at night Internet was good enuff to hook Netflix to the tv from a laptop for the kiddos .. AC for us Americans lol kept it cold inside . Basic cable .. one log is provided and extra firewood is available.. Great place ... great time in the laurentides ... merci for everything

I forget how many times we've stayed there - 8 or 9, I think. We've gone alone and also have brought our friends up. We try to rent a different house every time. Although all of the Swiss style homes are similar, each one has it's own charm (one is right at the top of a mountain, one has a second fireplace at the indoor pool, one has an amazing spa/pool on the deck, etc). They allow you to bring your dogs for a very small fee of $10 per night which is perfect for us, we bring our two Chihuahuas everywhere. Choose between having a hot tub or a pool.....or you can have both. Choose between 1 bedroom all the way up to 6 bedrooms. They have about 30 different fully equipped homes that will absolutely make you happy, whatever you're looking for. The family that runs it is absolutely lovely and so helpful. We'll be back!

Of the places we stayed on our trip along the Petit Trail Du Nord, this was our least favorite…read more Although the rooms were nice and very comfortable, we found the staff to be unfriendly and the food at the B&B outrageously expensive. When we rode in with our family after biking, the staff were not very welcoming and, in fact, made us feel like we were imposing on them. As very low maintenance travelers, we found it odd that this vibe was given off and we found it uncomfortable. Hard to exactly say what it was, but we found that we always felt that we were doing something wrong...not a fond feeling when traveling! The food was also unreasonably expensive. $22.00 pp for breakfast! No thanks!

The inn is about 1 km SE of the center of Val-David on Lac Dore, a small, quiet lake (no power boats). The inn has a private swim beach, dock, and platform. The inn is easily accessible from the rail trail, though not obvious. We arrived in the afternoon and were given rooms in an annex building across a quiet street. Our rooms had therapeutic baths, rather than showers, so we asked to be moved to rooms with showers, and they seemed happy to switch us. Since we were across the street, our rooms did not have a view of the lake, but the rooms were comfortable, air conditioned, and nicely furnished, if somewhat oddly arranged. The beds were very comfortable. We seemed to be the only occupants in the annex, and the doors of the unoccupied rooms were left standing open, so we walked around and looked into some of the rooms. Some of those bedrooms were truly luxurious! But those rooms had the therapeutic baths, not showers. The inn provided secure storage for our bikes in a separate building. It was a fairly hot day for Quebec, so we spent some time swimming in the lake before dinner. Just lovely. Kayaks and paddleboards were also available at the beach. Dinner was outstanding, and the service was excellent. The tables look out over the lake, a lovely setting. Apparently, breakfast is normally served starting at 9 am, but we asked if we could have breakfast at 8 am, to get an earlier start biking. Again, the staff seemed happy to accommodate us, and we were served breakfast at 8 am. Breakfast was also excellent. Definitely staying here again next time we are in the area. Note: All of the rooms at this inn are apparently different. The majority of the rooms seem to have therapeutic baths, not showers, so if you require a shower, make sure that you reserve a room that has a shower. The annex building is across a quiet street, so those rooms do not have a view of the lake. But they are otherwise very nice rooms.

Gord and I spent the last two days in Mont Tremblant at the Le Kandahar. I chose it because it was…read moreone of two places in the pedestrian village that offered a free breakfast. It wasn't cheap but it was one of the cheaper places in the village. It's at the bottom the village near the clock tower. It's a quick walk up the hill to catch the gondolas to head up the mountain, plus there are restaurants within walking distance. The free stand-up gondola which takes you to the top of the village is nearby. There was a mini kitchen as we entered. There was a living room/dining room (alas the fireplace doesn't work). There was a bathroom off the dining room/living. Go up the stairs and you were in the bedroom. And there was a bathroom off the bedroom (yes, there were two bathrooms!!). Breakfast was from 6:30am to 10:30am ... there was toast, eggs, cereal, waffles, fruit, juice, coffee, etc. When we went down just after 10am yesterday there wasn't much left. Gord went earlier today and had eggs, etc. You have to pay for Internet through an outside provider (it was $25 for three days and it worked well). There is parking ... we had flown in and taken a shuttle from the airport so I don't know too much about it. There is an outdoor hot tub that we had intended to use yesterday but never got a chance. After snowshoeing, we came back to our room and chilled instead.

Each room has keypad entry. Bed very comfortable. Cozy game area and living room with real wood fireplace. Breakfast was tasty! My only "be awares": shower is small (at least in our room) so for taller people may be cramped. You take your shoes off when walking in the house. As someone who grew up culturally this way, I love it! For those that aren't use to it, may be strange. Very close to skiing and the Scandinavian spa (they have a discount with them, so ask them in advance) Owners Patrick and his wife are kind hosts. There is unlimited coffee and tea, and use of the fridge and microwave. They speak English as well as French. Would love to stay again!

Stayed here while biking the P'Tit Train du Nord trail. For biking, this hotel is not far off the…read moretrail and is a bit of a walk to any of the restaurants. It's a pretty standard budget motel. The front desk clerk was friendly. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The hotel was quiet during my stay. The AC and mini-fridge worked very well. The TV has limited channels, no in-room coffee maker, no breakfast available and limited outlets for your electronics. Free WiFi available. The shower amenities were limited to a shampoo, conditioner, body wash combo. Water pressure was average at best and it took forever to get warm - not hot, just warm. Should I return to bike the trail again, I would probably look to book a room closer to the trail and the restaurants.

The room and motel are very basic, but the room is a good size and EXCEPTIONALLY clean. Very quiet motel and Vince and management are fantastic! We weren't sure what to expect as we have never stayed in anything lower than a 4 and a half star hotel, but upon reading the reviews we thought this looked like it was worth a try as the price was right and we have to watch our money now. My husband and I HIGHLY recommend this place. WONDERFUL stay and wonderful treatment!! Also, don't forget to try the La Table Des Gourmets restaurant in the town; best food we ever had in our life--worth the price; you will feel like you are dining in France!! Rapids by the bridge are within walking distance; ask the locals where they are :)
