Well, they certainly cater to the party goer, especially with the huge selection of (cheap and nasty) costumes that are available. They also claim to be a specialist in helium balloons, and they certainly have a huge range of balloons available. In fact they had these little draws each containing a different sort of balloon. Okay, they also have a few other discount items available, but their main focus is being a party supply store, and you can certainly get a decent amount of supplies here for whatever reason you have for throwing a party (not as if you actually need a reason, but you know what I mean).

A great costume shop!…read more Last weekend my partner and I rented two full costumes: the Evil Queen from Snow White (cartoon version) and Davey Jones from Pirates of the Caribbean. Both were fantastic quality. They have a good sized range to choose from.. but the best part is that it is spread out enough that you can actually see all of the options properly. That's not a dig at Rose Chong's - they have good quality costumes too. But they are so crammed in there that if you don't know what you're looking for it is pretty much impossible to find something. Whereas Costume Factory have a big open space for you to walk up and down the racks to pick out things you hadn't even thought of yet. They also have a great 'Wig Bar' where they help you figure what will best go with your costume. You will pay around $90 for a full costume including wigs, shoes and accessories. They are also really good about the return times. We got until Tuesday to bring them back after hiring on a Saturday. FYI the bond is $100 per costume.

I have recently been in and asked for "Dopey, from the seven dwarfs. You know... the dumb one?" I had them at Dopey. Although they didn't have an exact costume for Dopey, they managed to scramble together various items from different costumes to create the perfect outfit. I was impressed by their willingness to help me out with such an odd request, and also their knowledge of Disney films. Masquerade have all the classics available for rent for a reasonable amount, they also have costumes available to buy if that's more up your alley.

The moment I walked into the shop the staffs at Eternal Bridal treated me like a VIP. They greeted me by my name as I have made a booking on the phone and the whole experience was just amazing. Kaitlyn was my stylist and she was such a darling. She patiently waited for me when I said I wanted to browse through the dresses. I was overwhelmed with my choices (they are very stunning!), she was quick to recommend a few based on my preference and body shape. I tried them, they fitted perfectly, I was definitely in love. I had a hard time choosing between two dresses of Lazaro and had to ring mum to come. Everything is made from recycled goods by local crafts artists and clothing designers, and much of it is surprisingly cheap. It's sort of like a really good stall at a market; you're not sure what you're going to find there but you know there'll be something good. The shop interior is all pinks and pastels, and the floor is tiled black and white. Even the chairs are painted pastel, so it's like a living, practical storybook of a space. I've been tempted by the retro bottle cap brooches, rings made out of old spoon handles and some of the one off clothes made from the fabrics of yesteryear. Naturally, the clothes tend to be a bit pricier than some of the craft items but it's all proportionate to the effort involved in their creation. A sweet shop with a lot of cute and original ideas.
