I would highly highly recommend this place! It was my first time and San Miguel and a friend…read morerecommended to go here. There are some tips to make your experience, even that much more enjoyable. I will give you those tips in just a moment. The place is so beautiful in nature. There is a lovely spa which I would highly recommend to get a treatment. I left there floating and feeling so relaxed. So here's some tips that I would highly recommend: 1) Get there as soon as it opens. You will beat the crowds and you will also get one of the chaise lounge chairs, that are are near the thermal baths. 2) I was greeted by wonderful Leticia who gave me a tour of the whole place. As soon as you buy your ticket, ask for directions to make your life a little easier :-) I'd recommend that as you enter, go LEFT past the swimming pools and then you will see these chairs, and you will be very close to the actual hottest thermal baths. It is interesting, because it looks like these little igloos on an incline. You enter the first little igloo and it's heated and then you keep going through multiple ones. It is like something most of us, have never seen before. The water for me was the perfect temperature because it was very warm, but not so hot that you couldn't tolerate it. 3) Bring your own towel and if you have a lock, bring it. I was traveling and didn't have a lock, but I easily purchased one there at the very entrance when I bought my ticket. 4) Treat yourself to a massage with Gabriela. I am not kidding, I've had massages all over the world and I think it was the best one I've ever had. I did the hot stone massage which I absolutely loved. She spent so much time with me and it was half of the cost as it would in the US! The spa is located all the way towards the right as you enter the property. 5) I went to the Mexican restaurant on the property, and had the house mole. It was absolutely delicious. The restaurant is closer to the spa. There is one server who was helping everybody so it will not be a fast experience. But why would you want it to be?

Giving one star is too much This place is far from the pics…read moreand fame that shows their pics Is so dirty, everywhere and lack of maintenance The water is not so good as well and the Caverns are tiny and narrow to enter....simply disgusting Once you arrive there is no directions where to go Yo go and walk and walk and no one to help you. Went to the spa ( by the end of the road ) and the answer was to go back to the entrance to buy the massage ? what is this ? The lockers and changing rooms were so dirty Don't loose your time in this dirty place.....this is far away from the beautiful and clean San Miguel de Allende and far from what I think Mexico Tourist industry is.

You are then escorted down into the bath areas where they provide towels and bathrobes. They have showers and changing rooms for men and women. From there you are led through several tunnels underground to the pools. The underground pools are long and narrow one has a very nice waterfall. There are seat seats in each area. Then you can swim through the tunnels into an outdoor pool with a swim up bar. We enjoy a wonderful lunch that was quite filling and very tasty. We were next led to the massage areas where we had a very relaxing one hour massage. Some reviews said that the pools were cold, they never were cold with adults only it was very relaxing and private.

We showed up the next morning at 10am when they opened and were asked what time we scheduled our massages. My wife was never told that she needed to make a reservation and that the only time they had was 3PM. We had other plans and weren't expecting to stay that long. We talked to the woman who managed the massages, who was apologetic and said she would contact someone to see if she could get someone in at 1PM. So we go to enjoy the mineral hot springs, which we were told was 95 F degrees. Not even close and didn't even seem like mineral hot springs. All the reviews that comment that the water is lukewarm are accurate. We lasted about an hour. When we got out we asked the women about the possibility of a massage at 1PM. Turns out she never contacted the person she said she would and at that point said she could try to now contact them. At that point we were done. But it wasn't over. We asked the person who checks you in to request a taxi. We were told 20 minutes. A taxi drove up to drop someone off. We thought we could just take the first taxi so my wife asked the price to go our destination and was told 200 pesos. The gentlemen that ordered the other taxi said our taxi was only 5 minutes away so we should wait as it is a taxi service they use. Should have known better and just taken the first taxi. The taxi that he said would be 5 minutes turned out be another 25 minutes and charged us 300 pesos for the same ride. Very disappointing experience. The funny thing is I hardly ever do reviews, but I had to share our experience regarding this place. Seems more like an expensive tourist trap rather than mineral hot springs.
