Two live people at the station: one knew less than the other . When the Amtrak train did arrive up to the very professional looking conductor, and he told me my train would be there in just a few minutes and he was correct the train came. The young lady was very precise. She took my name off the list she said if I had to step in and walk to the left, but I kept on walking all the way to the end, but there were no empty seats, but it was fine I Only stood for 10 minutes until the next time the young conductor walked up to me and told me he would find me a seat and he did so at that point there was many empty seats and the seats were very comfortable. There is a plug right here for my phone the food was a little pricey, but it was OK. I expect that, it was so quiet and very restful and relaxing. Definitely a nice easy way to get to see my grandson. I will definitely use Amtrak again I May I say very affordable!

We were going to arrive at airport hours before we needed to (due to limited bus service availability). We sat at the bus depot for 2.5hours. Driver never did arrive. No notifications that the bus driver was late, or that it wouldn't be leaving as scheduled. On top of the $250 in bus tickets, we then had to pay for a uber to make the 2+hr trip to be at the airport on time (another $480 expense). When we complained about the terrible service and lack of notice to its patrons; the company offered an insulting $10 credit to be used on their bus lines. Not per person or per ticket .... $10 total. Basically they said 'thanks for the donation' and peaced out. Absolutely will NEVER use this Company as an option of travel. And I highly recommend you don't either.

The things I loved: -they support e-tickets!! This may seem like a no brainer, but as Ithaca busses go, believe me it's not. I thought this made the process wayyy easier. - the outlets on board actually work!! Again, not as much of a given as you'd think. -your spot is reserved. They make you buy a ticket based on bus time, so no matter where you are on line, you'll get on the bus. The sh*tshowy part: -the "bus station" which I think is the pharmacy?? Is closed... so online is pretty much your only option to purchase tickets. -they stop at Binghamton on the way to New York. Every other bus service also does this, but the others at least let you know in advance. Would love to see a truly direct bus route. -there are ~technically~ two buses per day to New York, but the later is a 10 hour ride due to some confusing layovers... so there's really only one bus a day. Not sure if this is a Covid development but the inconvenience cannot be overstated. Last thing for the high-stress people like me: there is only one place that the Greyhound departs from in Ithaca, on Green Street in front of Urban Outfitters. It's a little unclear on the website, but here's your confirmation that you're in the right spot take a deep breathe.

Or how sketchy the bathrooms are, where one of the toilet stalls is taped up with a note indicating that it's out of order and there's no toilet paper in it? Or how one sink has -no- running water, and the other sink is marginally better... but good luck finding hand soap or paper towels. The sole attendant was "helpful" in the most basic way: he greeted us, then pointed to the door through which we'd be boarding our bus after we explained we were waiting on our return trip back to NYC. Helpful, indeed... considering all of the -two- doors one could choose from. I tried coming up with any transit hub (is that even a relevant term for what this place is?) that's shoddier. Nope. I was in Ithaca flying to CA when the Canadian fires created a mess with the NE USA. Instead of…read moreflying through Newark I changed my itinerary to fly out of Syracuse about 6pm that night. Christopher responded right away and was polite and organized and was able to pick me up at 3am the next day (9 hours after I contacted him) and shuttle me to SYR. He was prompt, drive quite well, and arrived with a clean car. I want to thank Christopher to kick off my day on time to help me finally get back home. Oh and there were several texts to me to confirm the pick up, to pay the fare, remind me, and also one 15 minutes before he arrived. Nice touch.

We got a quote and invoice within 15 minutes. 4am on the day of our flight they were at our house not just on time but early! Friendly, courteous safe driver. Reliable transportation to the airport during odd times is almost impossible to find in Syracuse but CCS was there for us and fulfilled everything they said they would! 10/10 recommend!
