Bad, I went there to see a doctor on an emergency. My daughter has fever, chills, cough and her lymph nodes inflamed. She has been as that for 5 days. Her fever go up and I have to take her to the tub to down the fever . I call to get attention and they put me this doctor she came with her mask that barely touched her. Ask my daughter (3yrs) the symptoms (please?). She told me she is well , she only has a virus. I didn't agree with her because I told her about the headache and high fever, lymph nodes on the back of her head, and ask her to check her blood so I can prove her she is wrong. She wasn't eating and complain about her throat. Then the doctor sent me to the ER, and I told her, excuse me? , why I'm here, and she left the room. I walk to the lab and they made the blood and urine. I wait two more days , and I had to go to the Urgent Care, they check her well,her throat was swollen and his ear had fluid, that day she was crying with ear ache. The Urgent care doctor diagnosed her with an ear infection. Then to end this terror story I went there to the dr office on a Wednesday and she call me next Monday lying and saying that the results came back ok. I told her she wasn't right and that she was taking medication for infection . I never, ever went back there and I hope lots of parents seen this review. Please! Don't risk the health of your baby for an irresponsible "professional ".I have evidence from the antibiotic and decongestant the urgent care gave me. read more

My obgyn has been amazing for years but as soon they partnered up with centromed they have to trash. Centromed is a horrible company they make it impossible to get help they keep rescheduling you like you and have a life outside them. The CSR's and nurse don't know for to do their jobs. I went to the centromed in zarzamora also and they caused me trouble also by apparently wanting to try to reschedule because they scheduled incorrectly and had me to wait a hour just to see the nurse not even the Doctor the nurse. I worked for the company also and they do not know how to train the schedulers correctly management doesn't bother to help.I never want to use them again they are a hot mess. Had a 10 o'clock appointment wasn't seen until after 11.Thats BS!! Only to have Rodriguez come and have what felt like a 5 minute appointment with me . I do not recommend this woman at all!! The front office in the pediatric section is ridiculous no communication whatsoever waited 2 hours after signing in at 8:07. Just for them to tell me it was because I didn't put the doctors name and then double down saying i never signed in even though I signed in at 8:07. Even the doctor questioned why I was late but I clearly see my sign in form on the receptionist desk. They gaslighted me of thinking I was the problem but I see their front desk receptionist wearing AirPods and being chatter bug with other receptionist instead of doing their due diligence getting patients seen. Do not use this clinic. They will cancel on you less than 24hrs before your appointment and not be able to reschedule you for the next handful of months. They tell you that you are not allowed to cancel less than 24hrs before your appointment. But they cancelled on me less than 24hrs, and unwilling to adjust to make it right. Looking at other comments, this is a common practice with this clinic. Take away- If you have made an appointment with this clinic, consider that appointment EXTREMELY tentative. read more

I moved from out of state, so I had no idea what doctor to choose. Finally, I ended up going to the doctor assigned to me by my insurance company, which was Dr. Osuji at CentroMed. The waiting room was huge and the wait time the worst I've experienced -- 45 minutes to get out of the waiting room...where I lived previously, all medical offices got you within a few minutes of the appointment. In the back room, as is customary, the nurse asked me a bunch of questions, which in my past experience, would be used to give the doctor advance information and shorten their interview with me. I was taken aback to learn when the doctor -- who I'd never seen before -- had ordered tests for me before having ever seen me. I did not know my answers to the questions of the nurse would be used in that way. So that was one thing creating a bad impression from the start. Next thing I know, the doctor is giving me some kind of lecture about how patients shouldn't be using Google to get medical information because "I'm the doctor, I'm the professional" or some arrogant statement like that. I've encountered a few doctors in my past who act like they own me because they are the authority figures, and those kinds of doctors don't stay my doctors. I want a doctor who respects that my body belongs to me and it is up to me what I approve. When I got the bill for the tests, I found some tests on there that were totally unnecessary, costing me $240, that I could have told the doctor were unnecessary if she had properly inquired about my situation. Later, I was stranded out of state and needed a refill on my medicine. The office response to phone calls was chaotic -- no one seemed to know what was going on, phone calls were transferred and dropped, they said they'd call back and didn't, etc. Such a mess. I never went back to this place. The doctor was definitely not my style, and the office is chaos. read more

12/17/24 I went to this location for an initial sign-up for assistance of medical needs in having no insurance. All was carried out wonderfully by the administration, however, once send to the clinical area for setting up an initial "appointment" as I had no need of seeing a physician today, I was told by one of the three attending front desk receptionists (ginger-haired older woman) that I'd needed to sign-in the "walk-in" sheet and wait. After some nearly 30-minutes, I was finally called back up to the window by another receptionist who thought I was there to see a physician today. After explaining to her I was only desiring to set an appointment, she apologized for her co-workers ill-handling of my request, knowing full well whom I was talking about once I told indirectly told her whom I had first spoken to. Again, she graciously apologized for her co-worker's blunder. In this initial first-time visit to CentroMed here on Walzem Road, I have great reservations of any future visits or of medical treatments being caried out accurately not-to-mend professionally, be warned. read more

Or when they do decide to fill it out the don't put what the doctor actually said. My doctor verbally told I couldn't go back to work but they wont put that on the paperwork. What a joke of a "medical office". I should have known better when I saw the 1.5 stars rating from reviews. From the moment I walked in to the moment I walked out, it was very apparent that this place is far from professional. When I went to the reception desk I wasn't even greeted. I had to wait until the receptionists were done laughing and giggling and telling their story before they asked how they could help me today. Not to mention they made direct eye contact with me while talking to each other but not acknowledging me. I was a walk-in, so I expected a wait, no issue. After a little over an hour, I got called back. Once talking to the extremely rude charge nurse who didn't care about my symptoms, told me I was lying about my symptoms, and dismissed me as covid. I told her I was tested for covid already and was negative, which was why I came to the clinic. She told me I needed to go home and take another test, and if I was negative, the provider would call me. I told her again that I was negative, and that I likely have a sinus infection or strep or another respiratory issue, but I needed to know what it was because I have an infant at home. She refused to test me for anything, totally dismissing me, and counted me as a covid patient. Upon telling me to leave, she didn't instruct me which door was the exit, and I opened the wrong door, to the reception area. She then proceeded to tell me "wrong door! Don't let the door hit you on the way out!" Completely unprofessional "medical office" and a huge disappointment in all of the staff that work there. Heed the warning of only 1/1.5 stars. They didn't do the referral for my son for a pediatric urologist for the circumcision and by the time they did they said it would take 7-10 working days making him over 30 days old even though I had been asking for it since he was less than a week old. Then I called the referral department and they hung up. The have massive hold times and their staff is very poorly trained. My grandkids are sick. Try to make appointment for them. They always tell my wife they're booked for 3 weeks. By that time grandkids will be ( hopefully) over their illness or worse off. Every single time. The Palo Alto Centro Med, my grandkids had an appointment. After waiting for 45 minutes my wife is told the doctor only sees infants not older kids. The stone Oak location is amazing but this one not so impressive . The staff was decent at the desk got My daughter in right away, she has a bad cough. Anyway got in to see the doctor, told her five year old daughter had a running nose a woke with a nasty cough, she has seasonal allergies, and a little cough a couple days prior but much worse this morning, stayed home from work to bring her in. Doctor asked if I gave her anything. I said I gave her cold and flu medicine that morning. She said that is meant for 12 and up. I am not giving my daughter medicine meant for adults. It's a children's medicine on the bottle that says, for 4 years to 6 years, give 5ml. Anyway, maybe I am being sensitive, but I did not appreciate she assumed I'd be that irresponsible. Also I asked if this was just bad allergies or a cold , doctor says colds usually have a fever with it, I've been around a while now 38 and have had plenty of colds myself and my kids and had plenty without fevers. Well she got her started on some allergies meds, but I should have mentioned its very hard to get her to take it due to the taste my bad on that, but didn't offer to do any allergy testing, maybe it's the norm but I would like to know what is bothering her, my bad on that though as well, i only mentioned to the nurse I'd like some testing done. She was nice, but the experience really was just okay, not great, I will definitely stick to the Stone Oak location. I love them. read more

I have several issues with Central Med. ( 1) My mom needed a refill of her medications for pain and she called the # number provided to get a message to the provider thinking it would get to her provider who it then either get it to the provider or a nurse would call back with the information that the provider had entered a refill. This did NOT happen. My mom went three weeks without her Lyrica and is now at a pain level of 10+. (2) My mom is barely able to ambulate due the pain level and we asked the provider for a prescription for a power wheelchair or scooter to allow her to get around. The provider gave her a written script and told her to take the script to any DME provider and they would give her the DME requested ( NOT). I took the script to several of the DME providers only for them to tell me that they don't take her insurance and a hand written was not the appropriate way to get a mobility device. (3) Oh and never received a call regarding her prescription refill for pain. (4) Due the pain my mom had to go to the emergency room because she was not able to support herself and slipped out of bed and became sick and confused. The ER Dr advised us to call her PC provider on Monday and we did for a F/U after her ER visit. We expected a call from the clinic to schedule an appointment to discuss the results of the test that were done in the ER and a plan for the way forward. ( NEVER HAPPENED) (5) Back to the mobility scooter/ chair. We called a vendor who called the clinic to schedule a appointment to get a "Mobility Appointment" for my mom. The clinic did not have anything for 2 months. I then explained that my mom called and left a message per the instructions of the ED doc and that we should be able to get the mobility information at the same time. The triage nurse was very adamant that we had not called to request the ED F/U. This is not the first time we did not get a response to a message we left ( ref to the request for med refill above). The vendor had to informed the # provided to leave message or schedule appointments that they were recording the and that they did not understand why they would schedule the appointment so far even though my mom needed a FU from her recent ED visit. This is the only time when CENTRAL MED returned the call and gave my mom an earlier appointment to get her ED follow up and her mobility appt to stat the process to get authorized a mobility device. we called the vendor who then called the clinic to confirm the appt and the clinic confirmed the appt and the vendor said we are faxing the mobility forms to you the clinic and the clinic CONFIRMED receipt of the required forms. So we waited for the appt only to arrive to find out that the ED visit information and the request for the mobility device was not on record. So I have lost count of my issues. At the appointment I explained to the provider that we have left several messages either for medication refills or ED F/U or request for documentation for mobility devices that have not been answered. The provider was very defensive and accused me and my 78 year old mother of attacking her when all we wanted to do was informed that perhaps she wasn't getting the messages. The provider responded very non professionally " Welcome to Walzem" and we had an exchange of words why i was trying to ask her for the specific information the DME provider was requesting in order to authorize the mobility device my mom needs. The provider was under the impression that I was accusing her of not responding to messages. That wasn't the case we simply informed her that perhaps she was NOT getting the message that we sent. After the provider finally understood she explained that the messages are delivered from a centralized referral management/ messaging/ appointment line and that she had several complaints from patients regarding messages not being delivered. I am so disappointed that Centromed has partnered with our family pediatric office. The office in which I took my children to was easily and readily available from prescription to referrals. This new process they have is horrible, I waited two days to get my sons prescription because the three ppl who asked me prior to leaving which pharmacy I wanted to have it sent to was incorrect. When I went to the doctor she was cold which I thought was weird for being a childrens doctor. She lacked that empathy for children. Needless to say I hounded and harassed the clinic just to get the prescription sent to the correct pharmacy. WHY NOT JUST GO PICK IT UP YOU MIGHT ASK??? I tried and THEY don't print out prescriptions they have to be called in. I also requested a referral to a Podiatrist and was told the referral would be mailed out to me?! This company has no respect for peoples time or the importance of necessity. I am furious that I allowed someone to treat my child as if his health wasn't important. Centromed needs the patient more than the patients need the clinic there are numerous locations out there ready and willing to help. The only reason I went to the location was because it bought out my old clinic. Dr. Linda Holly is rolling over in her grave if she knew how bad her patients were being treated!! Ive used multiple southside SA locations over the last few years and have had MULTIPLE issues. Once I am physically in the office everything goes "OK" but trying to get someone on the phone, make an appointment, ask a question, get a prescription refill THAT IVE HAD FOR YEARS WITHOUT CHANGES- is a giant challenge to say the least. Wait times are always AT LEAST tripled then I will be transferred abruptly where I will be hung up on. Terrible customer service/ scheduling/ office management- whatever this is. read more

Worst PCP office to choose! My mom has Dr. Ana Calderon as her pcp and the referrals office is so irresponsible with her patient's referrals and authorizations. They let referrals sit at their office and when you do call, hold time is always an hour. When you finally get an answer they pretend to hang up on you and do not call you back. They also roll over calls to the answering service before 5pm. Have dealt with Yvette and Araceli in referrals. They say they will call you back and never do. I hope Dr. Calderon can find more qualified and caring office staff that will follow up and care about her patients. read more

I wouldn't even give this office 1 star but I had no choice! Yesterday was my first time ever taking my daughter to this facility. They asked for me to get there 30 min early for paperwork. I did & still waited 30 min after my apt time to be called back! While waiting in their waiting area, it was extremely dirty! The seats had visible stains and while I was there waiting for an hour total before getting called back NO ONE from the front office came to sanitize any seats or the kids table. Right before we got called in a little boy BIT a little girl causing her to get stitches! No one did anything about the boy biting the little girl and the mom just apologized to the other mom but nurses and front end staff did nothing but stare! Once we got called back we had to wait another 10 min before anyone came to talk to us. Once the dr came she went over general questions about my child etc and then rudely told me she couldn't understand a word my kid was saying & that she needed to go to speech therapy. My kid is 4 and can't say her R or S correctly but everyone that talks to her can understand her. The visit was very impersonal, as if we were just another family to "get through." Our whole reason for the visit was to get her shots for school and a check up. On the way out I noticed that her chicken pox vaccine spot on the card was blank so I asked the girl at the front if they forgot to mark it or put it in a different spot and her answer was "well when they send your paperwork up I'll be able to tell you, it's not in my hands " so I asked her to go ask. Meanwhile after it was all sorted out, I left their pediatric office more frustrated then anything ! Their lack of communication, compassion, professionalism and just common decency lead me to leaving this review! I even called around trying to find a speech therapist to see if it would help my kid and when I tried to get a hold of their office I got told there wasn't even an order for a speech therapist in my daughters notes!!!! I will NOT BE BRINGING MY CHILD BACK! In fact I changed her pcp as soon as I could! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS FACILITY TO ANYONE! read more
