I was an out of state client in Florida who depended on a service. I was with them from 2009 to present 2013. This company WILL steal your money. My air conditioner was down for OVER 25 days, during which I put in several maintenance requests some of which sat UNANSWERED, while my house reached 88* at the hottest. The intense heat literally killed my snail. They offered us a rent credit for the time the air conditioner was down, and then conveniently neglected to give us that credit even after I called TWICE. My refrigerator also leaks and again, I put in a maintenance request to no avail. They had also let an unqualified tenant into my property without doing the proper background checks which cost me thousands of dollars in lost rent when the tenant just abandoned my property and Centurion never told me that and took no responsibility! I only found this out from the collections company over a year later when they told me the tenant had stolen someone's identity to get into the lease! Oh where to start with this awful company! If I could give them negative stars I would! The professionalism of this place has never been up to par ever! Coming from customer service working at Caesars on strip, blows my mind on how these people handle situations and customers. I have had so many issues since the day I moved in. #1My work order that I put online was closed and never was taken care of with the weeds in front of my house and trash that was left from the construction workers. #2 I had my heater go out in February, I had called to place my work order due to my first one online never got taken care of any way. The order was placed on a Friday and was not taken care of until Monday, but because the part needed to be approved by Centurion I didn't have my heater working till Tuesday. There contractor let me know they never got the work order until Monday. Which means Maddi didn't care to ever place the work order, which is part of the job on Friday because she was to lazy to do so. Law 118A in the state of Nevada they have 48 hours to fix it. More like 3 days. By the way this is when it snowed in Vegas! #3 the owner of the company called me and left a voicemail and told me he was coming on this date and this time... wait excuse me but no that doesn't work. I called him over 5 times with no answer and left him a voicemail demanding a call back and nothing. So I texted him and he told me that's when he can come, but no where in my contract does it state he can show up at my house whenever. Also have the texts of his unprofessionalism. #4 when he came by the house for the walk through some things needed to be fixed and he told me he would have an email sent with the amount of time I had to fix it... and guess what NO email. Thank goodness I'm responsible and I fixed it because lord knows they will charge me. #5 the walk through, they would not schedule around my schedule on my days off to do a proper walk through so I can see what they where going to deduct from my deposit. They kept telling me I didn't need to be there and they wouldn't schedule when I'm off. So I didn't get to see what was even wrong if there was anything. #6 they told me I had to leave on all my bills till they did the walk through, but they couldn't give me a date that they would come. They just told me they have (3) days to do the walk through after I turn in my keys. Get this if I where have moved out June 30,2019 and moved into my new place I couldn't turn on any of the bills because they told me in the lease agreement I signed that it states that and it doesn't state that any where. #7 they took my whole deposit of $1,000, but yet I still don't have the letter that they "sent" twice to the address I provided. I go into the mailbox yesterday 9/8 and see a letter from Quantum Collections stating I am now in collections from Centurion Management with no notice nothing. They just sent me to collections with an additional balance of $305.99. So moral of this very long review, do not rent from this company. There is a reason for there stars and the bad reviews. I will be going to the Better Business Bureau, Fox 5 (since I have already contacted them before regarding my heater situation, & I have already contacted my lawyer at De Castroverde Law Group regarding this matter and he has all the documents need. The only good thing that came out of this was the broker Theresa!!! I want to thank her for the professionalism and being so kind and helping me through the process when I first started renting! If you are looking for someone to manage your property in Vegas, find someone else. These people are not reliable and then they act like its the owner's fault when they don't do their job. The owner of the company is just not a reasonable person and then that trickles down to everything. My job as an owner is to let them know if there is a repair that needs to be done that the tenant is not taking care of. They are supposed to fix it in a timely manner. It didn't happen and as each fine of $100 tacked on, still they were not on top of things. It took reaching $1500 in fines to realize that they really don't care to help the owner of the property. These people are absolute 2 bit crooks. They will give you the run around any time your property requires any kind of repair whether its big or small. They gave me the run around any time I needed any kind of fix. On top of that they tried to charge me 225 dollars for a bogus HOA violation regarding a dead tree that's been there for decades before we moved in. They will nickle and dime you any chance they get and ignore your emails & calls. We had to physically drive 30 mins to the leasing office and have a nice little talk face to face to get them to drop those BS HOA violation charges while pointing out sections of our lease contract. They apologized in person of course and reversed the charges but then a few weeks later they once again gave us the run around to fix our doorbell (which was broken since we moved in) then finally refused to do so stating that we have to take the rental house "as is" which makes no sense since they already did dozens of repairs. They just don't want to pay for repairs anymore and that BS HOA violation was a pathetic attempt at offsetting some of their repair costs for a broken house that the renter literally just moved into a month or two ago. Centurion is on a whole new level of pathetic that I can't find the words for. I've promised them litigation just based on principles to teach them a lesson in business ethics. Consistently ignore maintenance requests. They do not fix things that were an advertised feature of the property when we leased it. Water softener is broken and leaking all over garage, dishwasher is broken, air conditioner is down, landscaping services have been discontinued and more. They are unresponsive and when they do respond, they tell you they are not going to fix it because it's not a necessity, for instance the leaking water softener. They insect bombed my friend's new house like they were supposed to and then the day of the move in, they had us look in the house and dead cockroaches EVERYWHERE! We asked if we could have that cleaned before we moved in and they said that was our job since they did the insect spray! The first day we all went to the house, the AC was broken as well so we had to wait for someone to come in and fix it. The light bulbs were not working and when my friend would take my tiny 10 pound pup to dogsit while I go out of country, they charged her 500 dollars for every pet she took care of! They also constantly got charged for NOTICES! 50 dollars just to send a notice about the weeds and a notice about the trash bin infront of the house after trash day. What's even the point of a "warning" and time to fix if they're already charging you for sending you a warning???? Constantly looking for another reason to keep taking everyone's money. I have a rental in Las Vegas and have been with Centurion for a long time since we live in California. After my husband passed and an appraisal was done ..pictures included, I discovered my renter was a hoarder. This was known by my agent and never revealed to us. It was also obvious that he never went into the house to see if any damage was done and being one of his responsibilities should have happened. Upon my tenant vacating the house, I saw...ceiling fans gone, sliding glass door broken, screens ripped, smoke alarms gone, filth in refrig, cupboards, carpets and bathrooms. Glass medicine cabinet broken along with the sliding closet glass and door broken...tile in bathrooms broken. Back yard wasn't cared for and was a trash dump. I have been without HVAC in my rental for over a week. I have requested meetings via email or even a phone call with the management and NO ONE is looking to resolve the issue. This HVAC unit has been worked on 5 times since January 2023. Centurion is no longer working out of the Sahara location so I showed up to the new location to speak with anyone. The person that conducts the annual visits answered the door and I explained who I was, he was very defensive. When I called the HVAC company with him standing there, he proceeded to talk over me so the receptionist could not hear what I was saying. Extremely disrespectful. He proceeded to argue and not set up a meeting with me. I am currently seeking legal advisement because my family and I have been displaced numerous times and have yet to be compensated. I have asked numerous times to be released from my lease, and have not received a response in writing. My two young children were under doctors care for heat related illnesses due to their negligence and uninhabitable conditions. As a property owner of several properties in Vegas and working with other management companies, this has been by far the worst experience. As I like to work with facts, I will be objective. 1. Fact #1: Our AC had stopped working and that despite having a warranty company, their manager stated that it was not covered and wanted me to authorize a charge. By stating: "Estimate- This property has two units. The unit for upstairs has a bad compressor we need to replace the condenser unit is a 3.5 ton it will be $2,650 for a new 3.5 ton 410a 14 seer goodman condenser with 10 years warranty Service call, delivery, installation, materials + labor include: 2. Fact #2: I stated that I wanted a official denial letter and a copy of the warranty so that I can check that the compressor was not covered. They didn't have a copy of the warranty. How could a management company who purchased the warranty not have a copy? I was told by the manager of the management company that they have reached out to them and were waiting for copies to be mailed to them. After 12 days of waiting, I decided that I would just take care of it myself and do their job. I called the warranty company and received it via email instantly of which I forwarded to them. 3. Fact #3: When I had talked to the warranty company and probed them on how come the compressor was not covered. Guess what? The compressor was covered, the reason that it was denied was that there were missing parts which was interesting since there was a company that serviced a few months ago and didn't comment regarding missing parts. I had then paid for a second opinion by another AC company to inspect it and submit his findings to the warranty company. There ended up being no missing parts and the warranty company ended up covering the repairs. Where was the management company in this whole process? Absentee!!! I ended up taking care of this whole issue on my own 4. To make matters worse, because of their incompetency, the tenant was without air for that entire month of which I had to credit them the whole month's rent. Well this is more than likely the most incompetent management company in Las Vegas. Their idea of property management is collecting rent...that's it. First ...an inspection and pictures should be taken prior to a tenant moving in, so that upon move out whatever damage is done can be deducted from the damage deposit...was not done. Second...when a tenant has a complaint it should be responded to...this was not done. Until finally the tenant gave up, and when we transferred to a new management company the damage was more costly had it been responded to earlier. Third...when it comes time to renew a lease, I would expect to be asked if I want the rent increased or leave it the same. This was not done, therefore I also lost money as a result of Centurion renewing a lease without my approval. Fourth...lies...lies...lies. They will move you in a roach infested unit and make you pay monthly fee to address the issue. You will never speak with anyone directly, it's all text and email and they barley respond. They move you in a run down unit and ask you to fill out a condition report, it's like they don't inspect the unit before renting and anything you do not put on your condition report, comes out your deposit when you move. When I moved it my Immediately notice the carpet was not shampooed, the bathroom tile is damaged due to water leakage. I am a single mother and and this has been a complete nighmare for me and my child who is only 1. I have nothing but awful things to say about these people. I wouldn't even go with these people. I liked that the deposit I got back was for about 20% of what I put down - $1,700? Yeah nice. When we got to the house the place wasn't entirely cleaned out, so we left those goods when them when we left - got charged for that. MASSIVE leak in the master bath - the management said it was our fault because we 'didn't clean properly'. Haha, yeah thats why it looks like in the garage (under the supposed leak), it has been repaired a number of times. These people MILK the owners, and MILK the tenants. I think they run an awfully shady operation. I saw them milk the owner out of fixing stucco cracks and paint - which was like WTF?!?! it was a white house - its going to look bad.... Upside - Bob - he was cool. I mean the guy must have smoked about 6 packs of cigs a day, but he just had a job to do and did it. Way to go bob. Other than bob - they roll through a front office girl every other month. First month you go in and pay rent - the girl is bubbly and excited to be there. I have lived in one of their properties for 5 years. When I moved in the house was trashed....holes in the walls, blinds broke, mirrored closet doors broke, filthy throughout. I excepted the property because I loved the floor plan. I fixed and painted the walls, and cleaned the entire house on my own dime. The first 4 years the company was responsive whenever there was an issue. This last year has been horrible!!!! I have paid my rent on time and kept the property up always. Last year when it was time to sign a new lease, I had to reach out to them as no one communicated with me at all. It took about 5 calls and a few texts to get a response. I live in an HOA that requires the management company to send a copy of the lease yearly or they turn off your transponder to enter the community. No one has ever sent the lease and I've had to check in with the guards every day for the past year. This year, same thing, lease date came and went and no one ever reached out to me or answered my messages. I decided to move and gave a month and a half notice. Now they tell me I have to pay rent for the entire month I will not be there for. They will not prorate the last week that I wont be living there. I don't know what happened to this company, but I would not suggest renting from them. Nor would I suggest having them manage your property. I had applied to rent a home with Centurion Management Services , paid our security deposit , pet fee, and key deposit. Then also our first months rent as well as administrative fee was do on the day we turn in the signed lease as well as received our keys to the home. That day we went to the office to drop off the money and lease as well as grab the keys. After leaving the office and getting to the place we noticed that the top lock for both the front doors had something in it keeping from the key to be able to go fully in, it took us a while to take out some sort or metallic subject out of both doors and once we opens the door we saw that the whole home was completely destroyed. The whole condo smelled like pee, there was trash in every room, needles in the rest room, both bath tubs clogged up with some sort of green liquid, etc. the whole time we witnessed this we were texting and updating the office however no one was responding. Whoever was staying there in the meantime had a copy of the front door key. So we took it and drove back to the office we were originally in 30 minutes before. Once we got there we spoke to the person who had given us the keys and expressed to her how we no longer wanted to live there. Seeing as they couldn't take care of the home before we moved in. Considering the circumstances we hoped to get every last penny back seeing as this was completely out of our hands and the home was inhabitable. To our surprise what should have been Just about 2 grand refund was Almost 600 dollars short. (Not including the 200$ we spent on the application fee.)And their reasoning as to why there was money taken out was because of the fact they had the home off market. And that the home owner lost money and has to repair everything. (As if it was our fault they couldn't secure the place) Now I have to accept the dumb small check and walk away because my only other option is still moving in WHICH WOULD BE A NIGHTMARE SEEING AS HOW THEY SHOWED THEIR TRUE COLORS. We never had a final walk through, the locks weren't changed before hand, and the fact that this all happened within the hour of dropping off our lease is a joke, and them taking out money as if it was our fault the house was broken into is shady as hell. Non refundable of course. (Total Scam) We were getting close to moving day and no communication other than the owner makes the decision and we will email you with the results. They had the application for a week. Well I received my email this afternoon just 14 hours before I need to move out of my current home and just 10 minutes before they closed their office for the day and it simply stated " Owner selected another application".
