My husband and I had our wedding ceremony at the end of July 2021. Let me start off by saying how AMAZING and accommodating the owners are. Two days before my original wedding date (in april) I was hospitalized, knowing full well that with only two days away that there was probably no chance what-so-ever that we'd be able to postpone, we reached out to the venue and asked, the owners were completely understanding and allowed us to pick a later available date once I was healthy again. Talk about miracles! Maria had the most beautiful décor, and literally answered any and all calls, texts, emails day noon or night from me. Pat was an incredible dj and had our guests out on the dancefloor the entire night! He also suggested his photography company to shoot for the wedding, today we got the photos back and they were absolutely breathtaking! Our wedding day was not only saved, but 100% improved and filled with bliss because of these wonderful people. I highly recommend anyone looking to get married to see this place first... it was first on our list of venues to see... and ended up being the last as we fell in love with the place and the people who owned it. Thank you Maria and Pat for saving our wedding day!

We just had our wedding there last Friday 10.09.20 and it was magical! Our whole experience was amazing!! Maria was always doing her best to bring my vision to life. Ladonna our wedding coordinator was amazing the whole day of the wedding. She always has an answer to all my questions and making sure everything I wanted was taken care of. DJ Pat did a great job with the playlist our dance floor was never empty throughout the whole night! I 100% recommend this venue the whole staff was wonderful!!!!!!

We would definitely consider hosting another event there and would recommend it to others. The facility is well set up and can handle its advertised duties, but the real story is the service provided by the staff. The staff and DJ did a great job of accommodating our party. We brought in outside catering, selected our own music, and spent a long time transforming the facility with a different look and feel. In short, we were particular, and the staff worked very well with us and all the parties involved to make it a success. My daughter and I selected music and I built a slideshow. Chris, the DJ (and either the husband of the owner or co-owner, I didn't ask), did a great job of working the music together to make a great program. We selected some music that wasn't traditional for a teeny-boppy party, and he sequenced it beautifully to engage the entire audience - even the grandparents were dancing! We also changed the program slightly during the event and again he kept up very well. If you are bringing in your own music and slideshow, make sure you follow Chris's directions so that you get the results you are looking for. I brought a few different file types of the slideshow in case there were difficulties playing one on their computer, but there weren't . The food and beverage accommodations are good, although we did not prepare food there, nor did we serve alcoholic beverages. We had dining catered by Gina's restaurant of Clear Lake, and they worked well with the Enchanted Gardens staff. We had a few family members arrive after the dinner was cleared, but the staff reheated and served them food. The service we had included sodas, tea, and water. For an additional fee, they served coffee. About the only drawback is that the facility is a little hard to find. We had a few guests that had difficulty finding the place. There are several factors for this; first is its actual location. It is situated in a strip shopping center that doesn't look like it would accommodate an event facility. Secondly, there is not a sign by the road, so finding the exact entrance in the dark was a little challenging. Third, it appears as though some search engines (including google/yelp) appear to show this near FM 517 even though it is near 146 (some 30 minutes the other direction). We learned of this from some very persistent guests. I hope to submit a request to fix this, but I would highly recommend that you include a map to the facility or directions with your invitation.

So here's the thing, I'm really torn on how to rate this place. This is my conundrum: I'm all about…read moresupporting local historical landmarks (especially when I know they're run on peanuts). I see immense value in the upkeep of these places and I know they bring value to the community. The problem with this place is it just kind of sucked as a "museum". There was really no rhyme or reason to the "artifacts" it was a motley crew of random odds and ends that locals had donated. Even the woman working (although I bet she just volunteered), didn't have a lot of info or insight on the displays. There were some random tea pots, a display with some NASA posters, an old Chinese robe, and some ceramic buildings. According to the plaque outside this spot had been the location for a pretty cool archeological find but I didn't see that very prominently displayed inside. The high point was probably just walking around this old church which had been built in 1901 (I'm pretty sure on the date but could be off). It was really gorgeous for being so tiny. There's a small chapel to the left as you walk in and the right is where the displays are, in what probably served as a hall. The building can be rented out for events. Price of admission is free and donations are accepted. If you're even mildly interested in history and old buildings and you happen to be in the area I'd definitely recommend stopping by for a few minutes (trust me, a few minutes is all you'll need). Just keep your expectations semi-low and you might be pleasantly surprised.
