We would definitely consider hosting another event there and would recommend it to others. The facility is well set up and can handle its advertised duties, but the real story is the service provided by the staff. The staff and DJ did a great job of accommodating our party. We brought in outside catering, selected our own music, and spent a long time transforming the facility with a different look and feel. In short, we were particular, and the staff worked very well with us and all the parties involved to make it a success. My daughter and I selected music and I built a slideshow. Chris, the DJ (and either the husband of the owner or co-owner, I didn't ask), did a great job of working the music together to make a great program. We selected some music that wasn't traditional for a teeny-boppy party, and he sequenced it beautifully to engage the entire audience - even the grandparents were dancing! We also changed the program slightly during the event and again he kept up very well. If you are bringing in your own music and slideshow, make sure you follow Chris's directions so that you get the results you are looking for. I brought a few different file types of the slideshow in case there were difficulties playing one on their computer, but there weren't . The food and beverage accommodations are good, although we did not prepare food there, nor did we serve alcoholic beverages. We had dining catered by Gina's restaurant of Clear Lake, and they worked well with the Enchanted Gardens staff. We had a few family members arrive after the dinner was cleared, but the staff reheated and served them food. The service we had included sodas, tea, and water. For an additional fee, they served coffee. About the only drawback is that the facility is a little hard to find. We had a few guests that had difficulty finding the place. There are several factors for this; first is its actual location. It is situated in a strip shopping center that doesn't look like it would accommodate an event facility. Secondly, there is not a sign by the road, so finding the exact entrance in the dark was a little challenging. Third, it appears as though some search engines (including google/yelp) appear to show this near FM 517 even though it is near 146 (some 30 minutes the other direction). We learned of this from some very persistent guests. I hope to submit a request to fix this, but I would highly recommend that you include a map to the facility or directions with your invitation.

Amazing!! STOP LOOKING AND BOOK HERE!…read more My husband and I got married on January 13th of 2017, and it was everything we had hoped for and more! The owners are a husband and wife team that really do care about making your big day special. We moved from Colorado to Texas in August of 2016, and we had booked the venue in June, before we even saw it in person. I was nervous about booking a venue without touring it, but I am so glad we made the choice that we did! Maria, one of the owners, stays in contact with you throughout the planning process, and was always quick to respond to my sometimes too late at night texts! Her husband is the 'behind the scenes' guy, making sure the venue is set up the way you want it. He was also the bartender the night of the wedding, and he was so quick that a line never formed. The two of them are the most pleasant people I could have asked to plan our wedding with! The bakery that Centurion Palace uses makes the most delicious cakes, and going for the tasting was such a pleasurable experience. Jula, the baker, even helped me design a surprise grooms cake. All of the potential catering options for dinner were absolutely amazing, and we had a hard time deciding on which one to choose. We went with the Italian, and a month later, I am still having guests tell me it was the most delicious wedding food they've had! Their DJ, Pat, who is also the one you get into contact with about booking the venue, is very kind and helpful. He did a wonderful job of keeping the party going and has a great voice for announcing the members of the wedding party, the bouquet toss, etc. We bought the photography and videography package through him, and we are extremely pleased with the quality of media that we got. We also bought drone footage of our ceremony. Shelley is the wedding coordinator, and she also puts the finishing touches on the chair sashes, napkins, and other decor. She was simply amazing, she bounced between the guys and the bridal suite when we were getting ready to make sure we were all on schedule. She even did a great job of finding the groom when he had wandered out front before the ceremony to talk with family, and didn't falsely alarm me that "the groom was missing" until AFTER he was found! Haha! After the ceremony, she bustled my dress train when my maid of honor couldn't figure it out, and she walked us through each and every step of the reception, from the cake cutting to the bouquet toss. The package that CP provides takes care of practically everything, but your own clothing, hair/makeup, and florals. When I asked for a floral recommendation, Maria referred me to Heavens Rain florals, and Camilla was very pleasant to work with and design our bouquets. Our flowers were absolutely gorgeous. The venue itself is jaw dropping, with the ceremony site outside in a Tuscan garden with water fountains and a beautiful arch. They installed tall lanterns that lined the aisle the week before our wedding, and it was even more beautiful than I had imagined. Our guests told us all night long how amazing the venue was! We also got the photo booth that they offer, and turned it into our guest book. They provide props for your guests to pose with, and a photo booth attendant. I simply cannot stop raving about Centurion Palace. Their service, care, and all around attention that you receive is incredible. I highly recommend this venue to anyone that wants to plan an amazing event without stressing over every little detail, because they've got you! Our wedding was the most relaxing, perfect, magical event we could have dreamt of. Thank you Maria and crew!!

I was a guest for a wedding here so I cant speak to setting up and logistics of events…read more We were 8 minutes late to the wedding and they wouldn't let us outside because they just let the bride out to walk down the aisle understandably so we waited around inside with our kids. After 10 my minutes we ask if there was a spot outside that we could watch without interrupting and she said oh yes. Not sure if she was the event coordinator but she seemed frazzled. The buffet line was a poor set up. There were two entree option that you could chose from but they set it up on each side of the table but only one line. If you wanted water you had to go to the bar and wait in line. Upstairs guest were instructed not to move the table and I can see why. If you lifted the table the legs didn't go with it because they are not attached. Overall it's an okay venue with a dedicated parking lot. If you are looking for a one stop shop then check it out. The ceremony was held outside at 7pm but still super hot .

So here's the thing, I'm really torn on how to rate this place. This is my conundrum: I'm all about…read moresupporting local historical landmarks (especially when I know they're run on peanuts). I see immense value in the upkeep of these places and I know they bring value to the community. The problem with this place is it just kind of sucked as a "museum". There was really no rhyme or reason to the "artifacts" it was a motley crew of random odds and ends that locals had donated. Even the woman working (although I bet she just volunteered), didn't have a lot of info or insight on the displays. There were some random tea pots, a display with some NASA posters, an old Chinese robe, and some ceramic buildings. According to the plaque outside this spot had been the location for a pretty cool archeological find but I didn't see that very prominently displayed inside. The high point was probably just walking around this old church which had been built in 1901 (I'm pretty sure on the date but could be off). It was really gorgeous for being so tiny. There's a small chapel to the left as you walk in and the right is where the displays are, in what probably served as a hall. The building can be rented out for events. Price of admission is free and donations are accepted. If you're even mildly interested in history and old buildings and you happen to be in the area I'd definitely recommend stopping by for a few minutes (trust me, a few minutes is all you'll need). Just keep your expectations semi-low and you might be pleasantly surprised.
