The agent I had was a nice guy and helpful in some respects, but when it came down to reviewing legal documents, insuring documents and addendums were correct and followed to the letter, and specifically representing my best interests and my financial exposure, I would have been better off with the agent who represented the Buyer. During the closing there was complete radio silence, and some significant miscues on their part were explained by "they assumed or made an assumption that might not have been correct" that they made...ones that cost me thousands of dollars! In some instances it seemed they were more worried about the Buyer than myself, yet they were contracted to represent me. I've moved a number of times over the years...8 to be exact...and of all the home sales I have gone through, this was absolutely the worst. They took their commission, but just shrugged off the fact that their lack of focus, detail and insuring that my interests were the top priority cost me thousands of dollars...real dollars! Find a firm that will represent you from start to finish, not someone who just coasts in when the closing comes so they can get the commission check. There are good firms out there, so don't settle for a substandard firm that only cares about the size of the check they get. BEWARE THIS GROUP!
