I called the state dept. of revenue and the tax wasn't something they had any knowledge of. I called the state's insurance commissioner's office and they said I should file a formal complaint. Since they charge rates 10-20% above average you would think they would have decent service, but I'm just left wondering why they won't even return a call. Now, with a week left until closing I'm left wondering if it is worth the delay for a couple of grand.
