Honestly I am not enjoying writing this kind of review, it's been two years since the incident happened at this dance studio. I brought my son to the studio while he was 4, after asking their front desk if it was ok to bring my son, and they said it's ok. But when we were there, my son was curious so he was exploring, my mom was watching him from a few feet away. Then the owner went to my son and stopped him in a very mean way, he had no idea how scary adults can be for a little 4 years old. And my son started crying. I ended up having an argument with the owner, left very unhappy, felt bullied. I called and called to ask for refund of over $800 I paid for 10 private lessons, I never got my money back. I wrote a review on Groupon, today I saw they replied to me, totally distorted the story, didn't apologize, and lied about reaching out to me to give me a refund. Totally BS. I was going to let it go, but me and my son deserve to at least speak out of the truth. And I wish all clients get treated with kindness and respect. God bless everyone. read more

Century gives me something to look forward to on top of my heavy school and work schedule. They are always very friendly and always looking to keep the party going. The group classes offered are an excellent way to develop dancing skills for those who wish for a more recreational experience. I have brought friends here and there who all had great things to say about the group classes. The private instructions are excellent as well. In my time here, I've learned so much and feel so much more confident in my dancing abilities. The instructors here really take the time to focus on helping each individual student develop to the best of their capabilities. I highly advise against this studio. Unfortunately, it is extremely unprofessional and poorly managed. The owner of the studio lures you in by being fakely nice to you, but has no concept of customer relations or long term customer retention and satisfaction. While there are some great teachers there, you'll be unhappy in the long term when dealing with the owners and disorganized management. There are a load of studios in the Orange County area, so I advise shopping around at other places. A red flag to watch for when choosing a studio is teacher attrition. When a place, like Century, is constantly recycling through instructors, this is a signal that something is fundamentally wrong at the core of the business. Also, if you like a teacher and they leave, you'll be out of luck and stuck with classes you no longer want (that is, unless you read your contract closely and threaten them with legal action). All in all, my opinion is to go somewhere else. read more

I have even won a trophy and am competing in a "Dancing with the Stars" type of competition on PBS this month! Before Century Dancesport life was boring, after Century Dancesport life has been very fun and exciting, with an excellent group of dance instructors willing to help and achieve since the first lesson. This is my first experience with a dance studio, but I have to say that it has been a great experience. My instructor Jacob is amazing; he explains everything, gives great tips and has such a great positive and animated personality. He taught me basic salsa steps in minutes, even though I have never danced in my life. The icing on the cake are the other students. Everyone is so nice and supportive. I have a lot of social anxiety - literally shook like a leaf during my first private lesson and sat petrified in the parking lot for 10 minutes before my first group class, but much more confident after my third class this evening. Century Dancesport made me fall in love with dancing! The studio has an amazing group of instructors and students: talented, fun, friendly, with a true dance community feel. I have been to many dance studios in the Orange County area and I must say this has got to be my absolute favorite. The dance floor is a good size and the studio itself is beautiful. The staff is really great at what they do. When they are teaching they are very kind and very good at adapting to your level and style of dance, and watching them do their thing is such a joy. The other thing I LOVE about this place is there is not this overwhelming pressure to buy lessons and to buy 60-100 at a time like I have experienced elsewhere. I think anyone who has ever thought about taking lessons should waltz their way right into Century Dancesport. There is no better way to exercise or express emotion and art. All the students are very nice too. I know it can fell like the first day at a new school but once you get past the front door the rest of the time is pure joy. I highly recommend it and have already had 2 of my friends join me since I started about 2 months ago. Do yourself a favor and DANCE!!!!! read more
