I discovered Tutu School on a random weekday in May 2025 and signed my daughter up for an immediate trial class. A week later she was fully enrolled and has performed in two Bravo Bash recitals since she started. It's been a delight to watch her dance through her growth in the last year! My 3 year old daughter has been dancing with Tutu School since May of last year. I cannot believe how much she has grown... not only as a dancer but in her confidence! Last year was the first time she ever took classes and she fell in love from the start. What I love about Tutu School Irvine is how encouraging and kind all the teachers are. I also appreciate the structure of the classes from ballet manners, to learning new techniques, to story time, to coloring. This definitely helped my baby girl feel more and more confident each week while having fun twirling and embracing the magic in the moment. The school also puts on a Bravo Bash every spring & winter where all the dancers have the opportunity to dance on stage if they want to. We had such a wonderful experience with Tutu School and the Bravo Bash performance. It was so sweet to see all of the little dancers have the opportunity to get dressed up, perform on stage, and feel so proud of themselves. We loved the Bravo Bash Recital! The teachers did an excellent job teaching the choreography and preparing the students in a super fun & exciting way. My 4 year old daughter had been begging me for ballet classes so we tried TuTu School in Irvine. We signed up for a free trial class the night before the class. When we came in we were greeted by her teacher and she jumped right into class. The studio is so cute with a chandelier in the middle, a little store on the left and a seating area for parents in the same room as the class. I also love the tutus on the wall and ballet shoes as decorations. My daughter's eyes lit up as she watched her teacher and did all of the dance moves. Miss Kate kept all the kids engaged with different props like egg shakers and silks. The music is perfect and just adds to the whole experience. I love that the kids are given opportunities for free dance and that they can express themselves with a little guidance. It is very age appropriate. Towards the end of class they read a story. The days we went, they were reading Coppelia. They get to dance to music from that ballet and they get a coloring sheet at the very end. My daughter loved it so much and couldn't wait to go back. Our second class was Halloween week, and she got to wear her Halloween costume. Tinkerbell loved her second class too. ‍ We can't recommend TuTu School enough. Just adorable and so much fun. It's great to have a Tutu School in Irvine since all other locations are further away. We had a blast on our first Tumbling Class, which is a parent and me. If the child is under 3 parents join the session. Parents need to wear socks with grip since the floors are slippery. Children are not required to wear a tutu but all the littles were wearing one. I noticed that some littles were barefoot and I'm assuming it's because they don't want them to slip with socks/don't have ballet shoes. Fyi- they sell tutus and other accessories. For the older children they have individual classes and a recital. Ms. Devon is patient, friendly, and high energy! The lobby area of the school is a bit tight, but there are plenty of other shops in the shopping center to walk around. Overall the practice area looks pretty clean, I noticed they have a bin for dirty or used ribbons, scarves, wands, etc. I like that they take proper sanitation procedures to prevent the spread of any illness. Such a joyful first class at Tutu School Irvine! The studio is gorgeous (brand new, spacious, beautifully lit and decorated, freshly painted, beautiful chandelier in the restroom, etc). And we are beyond grateful for our daughter's teacher, Miss Kate; we cannot say enough good things about her. She is kind, soft/gentle with the children (our tiny ballerina is currently three years), warm, friendly, an excellent dancer, personable and adept at working with the children (and their various personalities and moods). She runs the class well, keeping the little ones engaged and yet not rushing them (there is no dead time). We cannot be more thrilled with our new Friday morning class. The various props, darling music, ballet curriculum of technique, terminology and French are impressive. Also, love the incorporation of imagination and free dance (the children are read the famous ballet stories then dance to the accompanying classical music while also being introduced to the composer).
