The space is beautiful, very clean, and well-organized. It kept my kids busy and, surprisingly, calm! The relaxing and warm environment made the experience enjoyable for both them and me. The workers have been incredibly nice and accommodating. It's so great to find a place to relax while my kids are entertained. We will definitely be back often :)

It's super easy to find from the 20, just a few minutes down a paved and gravel road with good signage. There's a small parking area at an intersection of roads where the tour begins. As a tree hugger I generally cringe, plug my ears, or turn away from anything involving the removal of even one tall beauty. But I will admit, after taking the informative trail I respected the education and information provided by the tour. The trail starts at a large covered pavilion with long benches and utilizes signposts along the short loop to help both kids and adults learn about the industry, as well as the natural inner workings of the forest. Special focus is given to beauty #15 and it's individual purpose, as well as how the environment around it has changed through the years. The path is well-maintained, fairly flat and easy, with an even gravel surface. Seemingly in the middle of nowhere, the Starker Forestry Tour has a beautiful setting and offers a simplistic way to learn a bit more about the gorgeous Oregon forests.

Now I haven't been there for a while but I can't remember how close the Wheel Chair access but it's a long walk. The archery area is also a nice place to go. Again have a parking pass. Just make a trip to actually see some pretty beautiful area. Make a better, safer parking lot. A lot of elderly go there.

I mean, it's a carousel! The next best thing to Disneyland. REVIEW: This is so cool! Bummed that we got there just a few moments before closing so I couldn't play tourist and shop the gift shop. :) But, we got to ride twice on the Carousel and it was fun! There's a ring toss/game of sorts but I wasn't able to figure it out. The Carousel is gorgeous! So pretty and while we were short on time and couldn't ask questions, I was able to infer that people sponsor(ed) the horses (for upkeep?) as there were gold plaques about a few of the horses. So, when I realized Albany had a carousel with a museum I had to go. The place is amazing and more than horses. There is no entrance fee. I checked out the painting studio, then the carousel, with its snack bar. I saw all those animals featured on their website go round & round and up & down in three dimensional real life. I took lot of pictures and video. I joined a tour led by a volunteer. Learning about the local lady that started it all. Saw more carousel animals in basement along with the carving shop while three artists worked on future animals to be. I purchased a token to ride the carousel ($2) and nearly walked around the whole menagerie before deciding on an animal to sit upon. After debating salmon, elephant, orca, bear, zebra etc; I wound up on a horse named Calapooia. I didn't notice any xmas ornaments in the gift but I did buy a tee-shirt of Guardian the Hippocampus and a post card of Calapooia. They had post cards for all the animals on the carousel. I also got to press a penny while I still could. I had a great time. I was a kid again, all the people were happy. It was like visiting a small Disneyland. And for those happiest smiles I gladly left a donation for their future endeavors.

Operated by the county, it is a simple park with a good boat launch, partially shaded parking and your basic picnic and bathroom facilities. It is located 7 miles Northeast of Corvallis and roughly 2-1/2 miles from downtown Albany. My favorite part with was the arched pedestrian bridge over the boat lunch. Who says basic functionality can't have a little style?

Bathrooms are also available. We stopped here to take in the views when we grabbed a meal @ The Point Restaurant across the street!

Good place to stop and stretch your legs. The bathrooms themselves were how you'd expect but maybe not as bad. They were well stocked and just grateful for that :)
