The rooms were clean and tidy -- not fancy, but the kind of clean that makes you feel like you won't get bedbugs. The hotel sits tucked off the highway so you're spared the constant road-rage soundtrack, which for a road-warrior like me was a big plus. Added bonus for me: my austistic son was able to access the pool on Black Friday. While he froze his little butt off, at least he was happy! Staff and crew got extra brownie points: checkout was smooth, front-desk couldn't have been friendlier, and everything felt handled with a "we got you" vibe. The desk agent took us to another room it was worse Dirty sheets on bed, carpet dirty. We decided to keep the 113 and we asked for clean sheets changed them ourselves. The 2nd floor from outside had windows opened curtains flying in the wind made it look very sketchy. The desk agent was great. She can only work with what she is given by her GM/Owner. With the issues we had the desk agent offered a refund of one night back. This stay was in May 2026.

I usually hit the budget friendly hotel properties, since you can stretch your travel spending more with that. Baymont hotel & suites by Wyndham is no different. They represent quality and comfort at a reasonable cost, which is basic in a hotel stay. I found this hotel through Hotels.com, a great site for locating hotels around the country and the world. With that said, I arrived here on a nice Friday afternoon around 2pm. The sign at the front desk said 3pm for check ins, but the lady at the counter was gracious in checking me in an hour earlier than normal. I had problems with the initial room key, but it was fixed promptly. It was great. I kind of wished I had used their outside pool, but they had it all locked up. I guess it wasn't pool season in mid November, but it was a place to hang out. Oh well. Prices here per night averaged around $70 per night, which was near ideal. There were two main buildings, each with 2 stories. I lucked out with a first floor unit that was basically had room numbers assigned with a 3 in front. The service here was friendly and casual. The property was small, only with the two main buildings and the outdoor swimming pool that connected together. This Baymont hotel and suites by Wyndham is located at 524 Bonita Lakes Drive on the eastern side of Meridian, MS. They accept major credit cards, as well as they ask for your driver's license to prove identity. The hotel itself has generous parking options for all guests. It was nice to have McAlister's Deli literally within walking distance from the hotel. Not sure about public transportation options here from the airport, as American Airlines is the only airline that services the Meridian regional airport. Best bet is to have your own personal car or rent one. Chances are, if you are like me, I came to Meridian via Amtrak from New Orleans. There is also uber and lyft services here in the city as well. Plenty of options to get to the hotel if your travels come through Meridian, MS. For the most part though, it was comfortable here and budget friendly, which suited my needs. The room itself isn't fancy, but it was clean and everything worked the way it supposed to. The king bed was comfortable and got in a good night's rest on both nights I was here. Even on a Sunday morning at 8:30am, I walked into the breakfast room of the hotel and nobody was there. I treated myself to a nice breakfast while watching the local news on television. It was one of those, I can't believe I'm heading home after a nice weekend here in Mississippi kind of feeling, but it was nice staying here in Meridian at the Baymont hotel and suites by Wyndham in Meridian, Mississippi. If you enjoy a comfortable room at a affordable or budget friendly price, consider this hotel to be the one on your travels to Meridian, Mississippi. In our first room the door would not lock and was missing the latch lock as well. They moved and upgraded us to a second room. In the VIP room one of the televisions would not change channels but was repaired by the front desk clerk because she knew how. Then the bathroom door handle came off in my hand and the toilet seat is like the tilt-a-whirl ride at the county fair. They either have, or need to have, a maintenance man opening on second shift! Ok, need to revise the review. Just discovered there are no towels or wash cloths in the room. Had to go to the front desk to retrieve some. I quote "housekeeping got a little behind today and there were a lot of guests that didn't have towels". Consolation prize - we will be headed east on I-20 in just over 8 hours from now.

Which would make a good reason for a smoke detector. Would never stay here again. Let the front desk aware of all the problems and was not even offered to move rooms.
