The rooms are amazingly clean, nicely decorated. 2 restaurants to choose from. I even have a fireplace in my room that you touch a button to light! I am sure I will add more to this review. In the meantime, I hope they enjoy the 5 stars. They have 100% earned 10 stars from me for saving me from a very bad situation & their gracious hosting and beautiful accommodations. There was also a coffee maker, mini fridge, tv, and a (fake) fireplace. They also had a little welcome package which was a nice touch. It consisted of popcorn, Oreos, and a granola bar. Tons of parking space. Nearby restaurants include Kelsey's and Boston Pizza. The breakfast spread had a nice variety of eggs, bacon, sausage, beans, fruits, oatmeal, cereal, waffles, an omelette bar and more. Our reason for staying here was to go to Pumpkinferno at Upper Canada Village - this is about 25 minutes away.

I'm sure that happens on occasion so not a big worry as long as we ended up in a nice clean room. The room was spacious and clean. Shower was nice and hot. All the soap bottles were full. It was quiet and dark for sleeping. Breakfast was good. I love the real oatmeal with real brown sugar and dried fruit. Everything was well stocked. There is a water bottle filling station which I also appreciate. Plenty of parking. Staff was nice. Good stay.

John chatted with us and made us feel welcome to the hotel. Outstanding job! Front desk had tea, coffee and hot chocolate a first for our honeymoon trip and personally I have never seen hot chocolate offered at a front desk before. There is also a refillable water station, which I have never seen in a hotel lobby. They have two iPad like computers in the lobby that you can print for free from. We went to our room where it looked like it was brand. New TV was huge and the room very clean. Only thing I would suggest is there's a fan blowing cold air that's moderately loud enough that you could hear it in the room slightly. Breakfast was good and there wasn't a lot of people in the breakfast room, but plenty of seating. Checking out was smooth and very easy front desk staff was very pleasant. we asked what to see around the area of Cornwall and they gave us some suggestions in Ottawa along with the housekeeping staff. Very solid 4 star rating…read more I'm not sure if it was just because of the weekend I was searching, but little was coming up for a good rate on the travel sites for the night I needed. I ended up coming across this hotel just on it's own and the rate was much better than an so-called discount travel sites. It's a bit of an older building and you'll see more signs of age in common areas, but the rooms wouldn't have been renovated too long ago. They look nice, they're clean and the beds are comfortable. The breakfast buffet is pretty simple. It's more or less a continental breakfast but with 3 hot plate options in addition. For me it was: pancakes, scrambled eggs and sausages. Nothing special but did the job. The pool was amazing. I'm almost tempted to give a 5 star review because of it. Very large for a hotel - especially for one this size. Perhaps not the most ideal for people who can't swim or watching children who can't, as the shallow end is relatively small. However, a bonus for those who do like to swim since more than half of it is deep. And the deepest point is 9ft which is almost unheard of for most hotels. They say no diving perhaps out of CYA, but obviously you can given that it's even deeper than many public pools. It was too bad the hot tub was down, but the main pool being so good that I wouldn't hold that against them. I had a nice swim and my kids absolutely loved it and had lots of room to swim around. All staff were super nice here too. I'd very much recommend this place.

Dinner at the local affiliate restaurant was five stars all the way - great presentation for foodies! Where do I start?!…read more Mold. Mold! Mold!!!! Two weeks on a film crew. Every shower, smelled a moldy smell. Bronchial infection. Pneumonia in one lung!!!! Asked over and over to clean room. One time in 3 weeks, they serviced my room. This building has long term renters! It is unsafe! Avoid at all costs!!! Another crew member had black mold in her freezer/refrigerator Another had mold around the tub over-flow drain! This place should be condemned and torn DOWN Do NOT stay here!! My non-smoking room reach of stale smoke. The room was hot and stuffy and there was no thermostat so I had to keep the windows open. I believe I was the only guest staying there and that the couple of people that I did see were permanent residents and questionable ones at that. Tried calling after stay to complain and was told a complaint would be lodged. Of course no discount or refund was given!
