I highly recommend this place for self storage needs as a small business owner and I've already referred over two of my friends!

What a round about strange entrance. After grabbing our ticket at the gate the parking garage is off in the distance across an expanse of concrete and asphalt. No lines. No arrows. Nothing except I guess we go straight and hopefully anyone leaving doesn't run into us. Easy parking since it was friday after Christmas and few people were working in the area. Rates were posted but we must have been inside the time for paying because it was free. Not a comfortable place to be. Felt unsafe.

They used to take cash payments, the prices are right at $0.75 per hour.. which you can dig down into your change in your cup holder and find that to pay your parking. 3 months ago they changed this policy to credit card only. It is in order to create a safe environment for the collectors at the booth. I've been calling and talking to people because people who go to the welfare office a r at a higher risk of not having a credit card. When I asked the toll taker what happens if I don't have credit card? They said they will send me the bill for $0.75 along with a $10 service fee. So if you don't have a credit card, you will have to pay $10 service fee. This is absolutely unreasonable! I have so far called two council members of Hayward, spoke with two supervisors at the welfare office which they were unaware of the situation, three Booth members that all verified $10 fee if the bill is mailed, and the manager overseeing laz parking company. The person at laz stated that there were going to be accommodations for the people from welfare with no credit cards but it just has not rolled out yet. I explained to him that it's been at least 3 months and something should be rolled out by now, validation at the county office of some sort. I will continue to challenge my local government to fix this problem for our poorest citizens.

There's a food court and movie theater downstairs. This mall isn't huge, decent sized to me. Sears used to be major in this mall, it even had auto center there. I remember getting tires put on there back in the day. Now it's gone, along with a lot of other stores. But there are still plenty of stores here, enough to keep this like a real Mall. And I always liked the location, right off of the 880 freeway in Hayward, very easy to get to!!!

I have nothing to buy here other than working out at Planet Fitness, watching a movie at Cinemark, and playing arcade games at Round 1. The food court looks dead downstairs. Not much to eat, so I have to walk outside the mall for nearby restaurants. Not sure why the Sears sign is still up when it went out of business over 7 years ago. The mall is mostly service based and conveniently located near the Southland Office Center where the Social Security Administration is. The clothing stores are mostly street wear to business casual. Pretty boring to walk around, yet convenient for Hayward and neighboring residents who don't want to drive to Valley Fair to shop.

It's not tourist friendly. It took me awhile to figure out how to use it. So did the gentleman before me. After inserting the credit card, the dispenser won't spit out the boarding card. It required other buttons pressed first. Getting here was a challenge because Google map doesn't have clear descriptions. It kept pointing me to the handicapped lot. I thought I had to park outside of this station, I almost parked at the city garage and feared it would close at certain time. The website to catch the train is essential. I went to https://www.bart.gov/schedules/eta/HAYW to get precise details about the boarding times. Me and my friend took BART to Embarcadero to see the ships at the piers. Being a frugal traveler, using public transportation is a must. So glad that BART can help me to achieve my goals.

Bart is cheap and fairly reliable - I use it now and then - depending on where you are going and if parking is difficult or expensive it can be a bad idea. I don't like the hours. That's lousy.
