I called TDS after they sent me a randome HUGE bill and told me "there was no request made to send me a box with return shipping, and it's my responisbility to pay the remaining balance" because either I was lied to and/or the representative never made the request in the first place. These people also love to wait as long as they can so when the automatic payments don't work on their website (which happens all the time for some reason), they can shut your services off and add expenive late fees on top of everything, waiting several months to send a letter saying, "your automatic payments failed the last several months, you now owe backpayment and interest because our system sucks." These people are horrible scammers, liars, and thieves. Stay away from them at all cost, save your money, and your sanity...

I paid for their best service ($149 approx a month) and was barely getting 20 mbps if that. I could stream any video and even webpages wouldn't load right. It would be so bad that my one bar of service was faster than waiting for my internet. I had their tech guy come out who flat out informed me their towers can't support the users so how much you get will fluctuate no matter what you pay. (sounds like a lawsuit waiting to happen). AND THIS IS HOW GOOD IT IS WHEN IT WORKS! Lol I asked for a specific quote to buy my own space on the tower (dedicated fiber or something like that they call it). Didn't even get a call back. I've got a couple days left or AWI and then praise the lord I can get TDS. I'll be paying 50% the price for 20x the speed. How sad.

Now I pay over $80 a month. And can't watch Netflix, Hulu, download a thing. But they say my internet is good. I even hard lined to download thinking maybe WiFi. Same thing!!! The worst customer service you will ever experience in your lifetime…read more Aside from 3 phone calls to tech support in getting this box to work, I have been plagued with billing issues from the time I signed up, They overbilled me multiple times, They're calls go to a call center in Santa Lucia I setup Auto pay successfully and on the next billing cycle they disconnected my service for non payment, my card was GOOD. They do this so they can charge a reconnect fee AND a late fee, $37 added revenue for them. I made my payment over the phone to get current, $152 and I have a confirmation #, 3 weeks after they decide to charge my credit card with Auto pay for ANOTHER $152, I hour on the phone and they wanted to roll it over in the next month, I said NO, I want my money that you stole. Now I have to wait 15 days for the credit to appear on my card. I asked to remove Auto Pay, CANT DO IT, they made it so complicated, that it would take months and several more phone calls to cancel it... Well I'm cancelling them, I'm taking their box directly to the office. As far as reliability, the internet goes out randomly at least twice a week and it takes until the next day to get it back... IT SUCKS!

When we called to ask for pro-rated refund, we were told that TDS does not pro-rate whatsoever! It is maddening and upsetting that we paid almost $90 for nothing! It is a crime and robbery to me! What kind of WiFi service that does not pro-rate??!! Another issue, TDS does not honor what they said. When we first signed up, we were told our monthly bill will not go up, it will be " for life," that is the truth. But an email came last month stating that our monthly bill will be higher by $40. When we called, we were told nothing can be done about it. That is pathetic and unfair when you don't keep what you said! TDS does not deserve even one star...
