It was working fine and had only about 45-50 hours of work on it but it didn't always start without a rumble. Thinking I would head off any major problems, I brought it back to the store where I originally purchased it. When I described the problem I was having to the guy who looked at my unit, he simply said he'd have his repair technician look at it. At NO POINT did he mention that they would take my unit apart completely and then leave it that way after determining what they thought was the problem. About two weeks after my drop-off, they called to say that the armature was bad and would cost around $200.00 to fix. They recommended that I buy a new unit instead. A new unit is now more than $300 and there wasn't a sale on the new polisher. My polisher was nearly pristine and well cared for and when I looked at all the parts, they still looked brand new. No wear on any of the gears was visible. I found the whole experience a bit off and when I looked at the current Google reviews for Marsh Tools, I noticed that several other customers had a very similar experience very recently. Without warning, they were given back completely disassembled tools and told they should buy new tools. I would not recommend that anyone buy tools from these guys. You certainly shouldn't take your tools there for repair unless you want similar treatment.
