The first project was replacing a door and door frame on the side of my garage, and the second was a larger stucco project replacing a section of soffit that had sagged after separating from the rafters. On that second project, he even revised his estimate $600 lower after talking with his "stucco guy." I had been visibly relieved at his initial estimate, he could've just pocketed that difference, which makes me wonder if Gary is the most honest contractor in the world? One particular company that has door-to -door sales reps (Energy Star Construction) provided me with an estimate for a 200 sq ft concrete patio with pergola for 16k (He would be able to knock off 3k if I agreed to my property being a showcase; meaning people could come over and check it out or call me about it. No, thank you). The next week, I noticed Mike and his partner working on a patio down the block from me that was fabulous- cable hook-up for their outdoor TV, light scones, and fans. I asked him for contact information, and he said he would stop by for a free estimate later on in the day. When he came by, I explained to him what I was looking for and told him about the estimate from Energy Star Const., and he said he would be able to do the job for $6500. Moreover, he told me that the job that he was working on down the street was a $15,000 job. The estimate he gave me was good for 30 days, and even though I called him after that deadline, he readily agreed to do the job for me. I am very pleased with the work that was done- The color matches beautifully with the color scheme of the house and the City of Hanford inspector said they did a "really great job for [me]." I'm happy to have them back in future and I plan to when we redo our master bath! I bullet pointed all of my thoughts and I really do stand by this list. They are such a good company and such nice people. Rivera Bros Tile: -Showed up on time -Were friendly, kind, and knowledgeable -Communicative and responsive -Jose addressed any and all concerns I had with genuine attention. -Their quote was accurate to job cost (didn't run over budget) and was competitive compared to market. I did not feel like I was gouged. It was a fair quote! -I had a large job (whole house flooring 2100sqft install) and they finished a bit ahead of schedule -Tile was placed in immaculately straight lines even in my two 45' long stretches. We also have a walking path that connects to multiple rooms and their spacing was so perfect that the tile and grout lined met up impeccably on the back end. They measured really carefully and precisely with their laser beforehand and that prep made their install have beautifully straight lines. -They were trustworthy enough to leave unattended at my house. -The tilers never met husband until the end of the project. I felt safe comfortable as a woman around all of them and they never tried to pull one over on me as I have had other contractors try to do in the past. -Creative Tile highly recommended them. -They picked up my pallets of tile which made my life much easier. -They coordinated a roll off bin for the demo work they did. -My concrete pad was awful. They repaired and leveled it so that the tile looks smooth. -They touched up things where they needed to. -They helped us make good stylistic choices. -Had grout sample colors and let me know if they cured accurate to the sample. -They use high end Prism grout by default--not the cheap stuff like others. -We wanted a special trim for the 'baseboards' in the wet areas. Jose told me where to look and I found the product. Had to order some more and he picked it up for us. -They were willing to install heated tile underlayment--something other contractors said they did not do. -They all spoke English which wasn't a necessity but it was convenient. -We had a slight miscommunication which was addressed and cleared up swiftly. -I had a piece of furniture I needed help moving and they were able to get it onto furniture Dollies for me. I cannot say enough good things about them and their work! You will not regret hiring them.

Cloud Nine Construction company installed a shower in my guest bath that we have had nothing but…read moreproblems. The shower backs to my hall wood floor....within a short time I noticed bumbles appearing in my wood floor and I contacted the floor person.....bumbles in the wood is water damage!! By means of attempting several solutions to no avail, we have to totally tear down and redo after only 3 1/2 yrs. We realized the leaking has to be an issue under the floor......The pan was put in wrong, so it drained out around it in one of the corners! The Cloud Nine owner, Gilbert, refused to assist when I wanted to find out who installed the glass doors as we were trying to attempt to have more reap holes drilled thinking that might help drainage! His response, was, it's no longer under warranty! You don't care about warranty when your trying to fix a leaking problem damaging your floor. The attitude of the owner was uncooperative. Their Installation was not done correctly and has had cost & headaches to try to fix! No stars from my experience with Cloud Nine Construction!
