This park is a few blocks from our hotel and was recommended to us by a very helpful hotel staff when we checked in. It's got some interesting trails with many twists and turns and the main attraction is the small hill with a steep climb to the top where you can get a great view of the city. The space on the very top - an area with railings - is a bit limited so could get crowded as many people who made it up there tend to linger taking numerous pictures. The park's condition overall is a bit messy with parts in disrepair and access blocked. There is a pay bathroom halfway up the hill. It's said to be unsafe at night and you can see why. However it felt perfectly safe during the day - we got there in late afternoon on a mid-week day and there were plenty of people visiting. Also at the entrance on the main blvd there was a guard and you are required to register your name and ID number (entrance is free) however only one person per party needs to do that and they are not strict if you can't produce an ID (not required to show). I also see people who seem to have entered the park elsewhere so not sure if all entrances are controlled the same way. Anyway we had a good time there walking around and looking at the various structures and fountains and getting the view from top. read more
