I taste the 3 causa and it was excellent, I like the shrimp better but the tuna and chicken were excellent too. We were hungry and it was happy hour. So we may have went a little crazy, ordering a few of the cones du jour - octopus, shrimp, and beef (octopus absolutely delicious), ceviche chino Latino, general boa, and pollo chi jua Kai. For our main we shared the Chaufa Especial, a delicious fried rice with an omelette on top. Drinks were also on happy hour. We had a great IPA on tap. Highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting or living in Montreal. Top notch atmosphere, delicious food, and an awesome waitstaff. Special shout out to the animated bartender, I will say someone loves his job. (Sorry I forgot photos).

It did not come with crispy rice, just steamed, and two little chicken thighs and some rice for 28 bucks seemed steep to me for the experience and how it felt in there. I didn't have but saw the ceviche being prepared and it looked pretty awesome so, maybe, this was just not to my taste. I would try again though, because it was interesting and the service made it awesome, even if just for a cocktail!

You might think, why do they do that, that's not fresh... Well, the fish there are more flavourful, bigger and just all-around better in quality (for the kind of fish that are used on those dishes, like if they needed salmon I'm sure they would just use the local ones). They had good prices and were really accommodating (considering there were a handful of kids around), it's probably a good place to go in groups. We had ceviche, jalea and other sea food from the menu (I mean, it has a Nautical theme going on so how could I not), but the real MVP was the lúcuma mousse dessert. So, so, so good, lúcuma is my favourite fruit and I had yet to go to a place where I found a lúcuma dessert that was worth it (*cough cough* Mochica) and this one is! I would recommend this place for a casual supper, definitely not for a date night. I would opt for take out if i was to go again.
