The staff are great and always seem to have a bit of lighthearted banter going on between them and they are only to happy to involve you in it which give the place a nice relaxed atmosphere. Only thing bad that I can say is the shop only sells used goods (not a problem in itself) but it's not clearly stated on any signs outside of the shop so could mislead people.
Book Review "THE…read moreWISDOM OF THE IRISH DRUIDS" by Michael McGrath. The author of this new book is a modern Irish druid over the past 30 years. He led the return of the Irish Druids to the Hill of Tara back in 1993 and was elected Archdruid of Tara and Ireland by them . The book is available in any bookshop by walking in and asking them to order it from Gardners for you. It's available on the High Street in Kilkenny in the Book Centre there. The druid tradition lay at the heart of Ireland before history began. It is ancient, yet ever new. The source of druidry is in the Divine, thus it explains our existence now and after death. Our druid ancestors knew that the flow of energy from the sun, sunspot activity and the telluric force of earth energies all influence human life. This higher knowledge, the lost science of the druids, was eroded but the ancient wisdom remained and is told herein. Here the modern Irish archdruid, Michael McGrath of the Clanna Bui of Portlairge, delves into the mysteries to reveal a great intellectual wealth of ancient druidic metaphysics and a wisdom of astonishing sophistication. This book is available on order from Gardners in the Richard Trellis bookshop in Waterford. Only 12,99 Euro.
