This place used to be my favorite place to grab dinner when I worked in the mall. Once they moved to 89, things were different. Not horrible-but different. The food is still pretty good. I had a footlong all the way with fries and finished it off with Krazy Kolor Ice Cream. It was all yummy, but nothing any more special than another burger and fries joint. The establishment itself is rather messy. I wouldn't say dirty, but tons of tables empty and un-wiped. Bits and pieces of trash here and there. The drink counter had stuff spilled all over it and trash on it as well. The workers here have no personality. We've been here twice in the last six months and everyone we've interacted with has been dull and unlively, which is a bummer. They have a drive-through which is great if you want a hot dog or burger and fries to go in a rather quick time and there is patio seating available. read more

we made the mistake of ordering pickup at this cafe.......we ordered several foot long and chilli dogs.........when we got home we saw that they used the cheapest hotdogs in production........you know the ones that are red!!!!.......the ones you buy at walmart ioo for 10.00 dollars. garbage food!!!if this is how much they think about their customers pass on this place......we ended up throwing them out with the rest of the trash..... read more

First and foremost, this is our son's favorite place and we really enjoy the classic diner atmosphere and food. They have delicious ice cream, service is usually really good and the restaurant and bathrooms stay pretty clean. My issue tonight is only one thing, but it's a significant thing and nothing that is in the employees control. The menu items are NOT correct. There was a price on the menu that said the soup combo was 6.99 and the cashier stated they couldn't do the chicken stew as the soup combo and that was fine. The hand written sign on the register said the chicken stew was $6.99. Our total came up to $43 for 3 people and I thought that was kind of high, but we then I remembered we ordered the soup and a wrap extra to try so we figured it was right. After paying I got to looking and everything was rang up at at least $0.50 extra per item than the menu said. One of the items on the menu was $5.29 but rang up as $5.92 and so it seems like it's an intentional overcharge on items but making it appear to be the same price by just flipping numbers. We aren't really thrilled with that. $0.50 extra per item isn't a ton, but it adds up and I'd rather you just list the correct prices for sure. We didn't bother the kids working with it because in the past we have been told that they have mo way of changing what the register says. Wow, I can not believe I didn't write a review for this place. I ate here multiple times with family in June in North Carolina. I also don't understand why it has an overall 2 1/2 rating on yelp. When I first came here, we talked to a lady. I could be wrong that I had worked here for 30 years I could be wrong about this, but I was like, wow, that is a long time. So I can't tell you about the food, but I had ice cream all three times, which was fantastic. I am coming back in December and can't wait to return here. read more

To food was about like what you would get at any Hardee's, or other burger joint. The place looked so fun like a 1950s diner. Unfortunately they were playing 70s music in there instead of 50s music which would've fit the ambience much better. The service at the counter was quick. The food came out on their new robotic waiter that delivers the food on a tray to your table that had to be the best thing of the entire experience. read more

I went in the restaurant, and it was very chilly, my dad and I was going to order and the person taking our order wasn't there yet and was on her phone she saw us waiting and rolled her eyes and said, "what can I get you today?". I couldn't make my decision, so my dad let the other people behind us go. I ordered a chicken sandwich and fries, and I got my Pepsi, the order came out quick and I look at it and my sandwich had small Buns, it was a little cold but good, I drank my Pepsi, and it tasted funky as if it tastes like soap, don't ask how I know. read more

We actually started off to eat at another restaurant, but it was a Monday and our first choice was closed. My wife had noticed this place and we decided to give it a try. CF Jones looks a lot like a Steak N Shake from the outside. Both try to look like a classic diner. Once inside most of that illusion is shattered. There is no counter seating or table service. There is an ice cream freezer that serves as a counter. You make your selection off a menu on the wall behind it. There was an older woman who seemed to be the only one that knew anything. Almost anything we asked needed to be answered by this person. Want to know what's on a big top burger? The counter help couldn't answer the question. What's in the chicken stew? They hadn't a clue. Unfortunately she had visitors and seemed to be annoyed by being interrupted. She sat in a booth across from them. Anything else the restaurant needed wasn't important. It was around 7 pm on a Monday and the place was nearly empty. I asked her if someone could refill the paper towel dispenser in the men's room. She gave me a look for interrupting her conversation. She would take care of it before we left. Needless to say that it didn't happen. She could have asked one of the other employees to do it, but she didn't. The food wasn't very good. My big top burger clearly had spent too much time under a heat lamp. The bun was so dried out that it was hard around the edges. At least it was a decent sized burger. Even though it was served as fast food it was priced like a table service restaurant. It came in at just under $11. My wife's order was a chicken wrap sandwich. She reported that it was dry and lacked flavor. It was a bit more expensive than the burger. Sides in both cases were extra. I have no idea why they named the burger the big top burger. Were they going for a circus theme? Maybe. It didn't carry over. Would we come back? Not if we had an alternative. We are traveling and could have stopped anywhere for dinner. We chose this place at random. CF Jones is someone's dream. They put a lot of money into this place. Clearly the staff needs more training. The food needs to be improved. How much would it cost them to add some chips on the side to the burger? We are only one couple who stopped in on their travels through an area we only pass through twice a year. How important is it that we have a positive experience? Any patron can write a Yelp review. That means that every patron is important. read more

Bland burger, fries and onion rings, and they use the worst quality hot dogs. The young girl taking our order when asked how she was doing simply replied, "I'm here". read more

I got the cheeseburger combo, comes with fries and a drink for 6.60. The burger was bland, small and the person who prepared it was heavy handed with the mayonnaise. The fries needed about 2 more minutes in the fryer. The atmosphere is trying to be something it's not. Cafe? Diner? Or Drive thru fast food joint. Seemed too be popular with the 70 to 90 year olds. Great atmosphere, but extremely poor customer service. We had to wait while counter help talked together, we had to interrupt their conversation finally to which order taker said, "Ok I'm ready". We placed our order and sat down next to customer who ordered before we came in, then we got our order and it took them another good 20 minutes to deliver his plate. We asked to see me who gave us lame excuses, never really apologized to the other customer. And there were flies in the window beside our table. We will not be back. Disappointed. read more

Had lunch at their new location on West Pine Street. I am not typically one to give a bad review of a restaurant, however this was the worst meal I have had in a long time. The service was slow, the staff inexperienced and the food was terrible. The grilled chicken in both my wrap and on my husband's salad was dry to the point of being inedible. My mother-in-law's chicken tenders were not much better. The only redeeming quality this place has to offer is its newly renovated building. read more
