Broccoli and cheese soup special with a grilled cheese
    Katelynn K.

The best place to get southern country food that tastes like home. I got the broccoli cheese soup special and it was amazing. The staff is very friendly and makes you feel at home.

Meatloaf (very thick), slaw, apples and breadsticks

Meatloaf is very thick and has lots of flavor. Thank goodness it is NOT DRY. However I do like more ketchup sauce on top so I'm giving it four stars. I made an additional sauce on the side with ketchup and Texas Pete from t. Also the slaw is four stars as it could use more taste. You can't go wrong with the apples if you enjoy the taste of cinnamon or sugar apples. Portions are always plentiful at Sue's. The only thing I finished was the meat loaf and left a bit of everything else on the plate including a bread stick. 11/29/19 : Mom and I stopped in for a late lunch of warm soup and grilled cheese. The soup was a bit bland until we added salt. The grilled cheese was delicious! Perfect warm meal for a cold day.

We saw a review online that said "the best breakfast I ever had" and kinda laughed but this literally was the best breakfast we've ever had! The tenderloin was amazing, eggs cooked perfectly Sunny side up and perfect biscuits and gravy. Truly a hidden gem.

My first time eating here and I am very disappointed to receive burnt food. I got a take out order of a cheeseburger with only ketchup and the homestead fries. You can CLEARLY see that these fries are NO good let along to give it to a customer after they have paid for there food.

I typically get a burger, breakfast, or this most recent visit I tried the pot roast special and it was great! You really can't get anything bad at Copper Pot. I also love that they carry Diet Mtn. Not many dining choices in this area. Ample parking and a large dining area with tables efficiently serviced so that they turn over quickly. Our wait for a table was only 10-minutes, following a group of 18! The service was the star of the experience. Very efficient, helpful, attentive servers. Shout out to Suzanna. The large staff worked well together and seemed to make everyone feel comfortable. The ambience is southern, hometown casual. You feel like you are visiting your large family from start to finish. Nothing pretentious. Clean enough. Comfortable. Pricing....in this time of food inflation, this restaurant still offers amazing prices. My husband and I had two large dinner entrees with water and our bill came to just under $24.00. Our portions were generous as evidence in the photo. Our waitress recommended the grilled pork chops which were hot, juicy and seasoned just right. They came with two veggie sides from a long list of choices. I chose collard greens and Mac and cheese. These items were just average and only luke warm as was the biscuit (from a choice of about 5 bread options). Had the sides been hot and a little more flavorful, I would have given 5 stars. For vegetarians and all-day breakfast eaters, Cooper Pot is your place; so much to choose from on their menu. Vegans might struggle as most southern cooking includes dairy and it looks as if they cook their sides in large quantities and keep them in a warmer to serve. The ability to respond quickly to large numbers of travelers and locals, with solid, well-priced, filling meals is the gift of the Copper Pot. We will return when traveling their way.

Sure, there are tables and booths scattered about, but otherwise the dining area feels hollow, without comfort or warmth. Credit to the hostess though for quickly getting a spot for me to sit during my visit, and to the waiter that promptly delivered menus. This is largely a selection of breakfast and brunch items with Mexican influences, and I decided to pick the eggs Benedict with smashed avocado. The wait didn't seem to be all that long, though I did empty a glass of refreshment during that time, and the wait staff were not all that prompt to see it refilled. Additional drinks did eventually arrive though, and the food came not long after. Even with the accompanying side of baked apples, the plate seemed scant in its content. And the flavors were pretty bland too, leading me to wish I'd picked something with more to offer, in addition to a dish with more substance. [That said, the omelets I saw on the plates of a neighboring table didn't seem all that large or visually impressive either.] The food didn't taste bad, mind you. I just didn't get enough in amount, in value or in quality to leave me genuinely impressed. Like the decor, the meal felt like it was a half-empty shell, with plenty of room for more. So maybe I'll go back another time and see if some other selection from the menu has more to offer. Otherwise, Eggies feels outclassed by most any other breakfast-focused dining option in the area. If I want simplicity on a plate, I can find it at a wealth of other restaurants with morning hours, and I can probably get more for my money there. And until I find something genuinely special about what's coming from the kitchen here, I don't see my attention or interest being captured by the relatively pedestrian experience I've had here so far.
