We celebrated a 13 year old's birthday here, party of 5 kids, where they experienced and enjoyed…read morethe Amber Sky 2088 virtual game! We arrived 10 minutes early (per recommendation in the confirmation email) and checked-in via email. You can also check-in at the kiosks inside near the front, then sign waivers through the QR code. At their reservation time, the kids followed their host Sahil on over and were seated in front of their VR room (which was one of 4 rooms there). Sahil went over instructions of the game, demonstrations on how to apply the sensors on their wrists and ankles. Once inside the room, there were two people who assisted the kids with putting on their vests, head phones, VR googles, and weapons, and continued with providing instructions of the VR game and safety rules. (Note: there was an additional charge of $6.99/each to upgrade 2 weapons.) The adults were allowed to sit inside the room, on benches up against one of the walls. The room was big, clean, and well ventilated. The kids had a blast! After their game, the kids were directed outside to an area where they sat down, viewed their scores and a highlight video of their game! The links to the video were sent to the reserver's email to view as well! Let the staff know if you are celebrating a birthday for a bonus virtual birthday fun at the end of their VR game. We will definitely come back. Make reservations as place gets packed. Overall, staff were friendly and helpful. These are definitely fun experiences for both the kids and adults!

We went to Sandbox VR in Woodland Hills tonight at 9:10 PM to use a $330 credit we were given from…read morea previous visit because that experience was terrible, everything was broken and glitching. They acknowledged how bad it was at the time and issued us a credit. When we arrived tonight, we were told our credit had expired. That made no sense considering it was issued because of system failures on their end. After asking the employee to contact a manager, they said they would "honor" only half of the credit $165. I don't understand why only half, when the original experience was completely ruined due to their equipment not working. We paid the remaining balance and proceeded with our three booked games. From the moment we were assigned our VR host (Austin), it was clear he was frustrated and bothered. The first game wouldn't load properly and took a long time to get running. There were constant glitches, delays, and technical problems just like our last visit. Instead of being supportive or apologetic, the host kept making negative comments, complaining, and even using profanity under his breath. It made the whole experience uncomfortable. We weren't rude. We followed instructions. At one point I even told him, "We're not here to annoy you, we just want to have fun." He didn't respond. By 10:45 PM, over an hour and a half after arrival, we had only managed to complete ONE experience because of all the technical issues. When we asked about a refund for the two games we couldn't properly play, we were told they don't give refunds. The only option was to reschedule. There was no real apology for the inconvenience, no accountability for the repeated technical failures, and no effort to make the situation right beyond rescheduling. We were even told that the previous staff member "shouldn't have accepted" us for three games and that the host just wanted to go home. At this point, it feels like customers are inconveniencing the staff, not the other way around. We gave this place a second chance after a very bad first experience. Unfortunately, it was even more disappointing the second time. If you're thinking about spending your money here, I would strongly suggest thinking twice.

I have motion sickness and Ican not ride 3D/4D rides without feeling queezy. I can not watch the classic Star Wars movie because it was too shaky for me. Hell, (spoilers) i didnt even know they blew up the death star because i couldnt watch the ending of the first movie! I can't do Star Tours, soaring over the world/california, spinning rides, playing first person shooter (fps) games...get the picture? I had to try this for myself to say if I truly can or can not do VR. There are "moving" elements in this VR game that can cause motion sickness. Standing still as your surroundings move is a major part of this very immersing game! You will also be going "up/down" ramps on a flat service, so that will throw off your equilibrium. Defying virtual physics is what Dennis explained. I had my ways to gain back my center and refocus as I was playing this game. If you wear glasses, please bring them, it will help! I thought I had mine, but I forgot it. The staff will help you get calibrated with the equipment and send you on your way. At one point, my vr set started to get blurry so I had a hard time seeing the enemies, but they were big enough to see when they're "five feet" in front of you, lol. It also got blurry because sweat was starting to form around my eyes. This is going to be a very lengthy review. First off, parking is a little confusing if you're not from the area. I had to circle three times to park on the same side as this venue. There is a parking structure on the opposite side of the street. All structures give you 90 minutes free without the need of validation. Then, it can go up to $25 for the maximum structure price. The venue is like the TARDIS. It's bigger on the inside, haha. The door remains locked, but they have a ring doorbell that contains a phone number to call for someone to come open the door for you. Talk about a personal greeting! When you first walk in, you have a set of stairs. They also have a handicap lift, so they are ADA compliant! Kudos! They have a row of stationery equipment that allows you to run/walk in place and turn. They also have a two-seater ride. They have 5 seatbelts that will strap you in for safety. One for each shoulder, one for your lap, and one each for your feet. They also have an overhead bar that you pull down as if youre actually on a Rollercoaster. If you ride the Rollercoaster one, you will get sick. You will experience the motion, but you won't get the effect (wind/air) of a moving vehicle. They have a wall of lights set as an aquarium as a little seated waiting area. They suggest optimum fun and experience, 6 to 8 people in your party. That is also how many guests can play in each area. They have two areas that are meant for 8 players, their pvp area and their main floor. Get this! They have an escape room, max is 6 players! I definitely want to come back and try this one! Another area is family friendly and is great for up to 6 people as well. Dennis explained to us that the reason this place has the word "World" in this establishment is because these rooms came from all over the place! I think he said the family friendly room was from china/taiwan/japan...etc.. so that's pretty cool! They have a little area where you can host a party, but it's not secluded, it's open to the public. This venue is open to the public and walk-ins are good, but you may have to wait. Dennis mentioned some guest had to wait 2-3 hours until their turn. The guest did leave a deposit to ensure their spot in line. So they suggest to book online to set up a reservation. Each gaming area is about a 30 minute session. You will sweat because you will be moving a lot. It is a workout! Only one sad note, I wish there was more air flow in the building. Because I have motion sickness, I needed fresh air to cool me down. This was a fun experience and I do intend on coming back!

You were then led into the VR spaceship room, which was the most insane experience! The VR was done so well, and I really enjoyed the immersiveness and the storyline. I actually wish the entire thing could've been VR. I thought the excitement kind of dwindled in the room with the test tubes, and also when we had to go outside to the parking lot to the third section of the experience, which just wasn't as amazing as the beginning. Some points to improve would be a more cohesive storyline, and making a tunnel in the parking lot area so it doesn't break up the visuals. I love escape rooms and the last challenge was pretty elementary, so I can understand that for families but I personally would like a more challenging ending.

Our group arrived and we were welcomed by Aster and the creator of the Lunar Light Experience, granddaughter of Apollo 14 astronaut Stuart Roosa, Danielle Roosa. Meeting her and chatting about NASA and her grandfather (famous photo of astronauts playing golf on the moon) was the greatest welcome ever. The experience started with a walk to a moon vehicle where we strapped on some VR packs and proceeded to excavate moon rock for blue light from a meteor. After that we met a mad scientist and a lovely robot. Got to play in the lab. The escape room aspect of the event was simple and we got it done quite easily. I imagine this would be great for families with kids too. :) The end, of course, exits through the gift shop where you can get some super cool astronaut stuff. Even Apollo 14 shirts! I highly recommend you stop by and spend some time in the moon! Also, make sure you get your space photo op! I wore the right jacket for that. ;) Ps: Free parking!

They have two sections and Jumanji is on the bottom floor. They have more upstairs. Check-in process was fairly simple. Just like all the other escape rooms, you will need to complete a waiver. If you havent fully paid for the room, they will collect the balance there. The price is a little high for a one hour experience and tip is optional at the end via cash or a cashapp payment. For 8 people, on a Saturday, it was over $400. I read somewhere in the comments/questions section, there is a yelp check-in discount. I didnt see any on the website, so maybe check with them? Also, there is a code for $15 off your room in the photos section something. I didnt take a photo of it, but I do recall seeing a similar image at the check-in desk.
