Joshua M Kaye, DPM - I had a great time with Louie! He sat on my lap for the whole appointment. We had so much fun!

I went to Dr. Kaye this spring based upon the Yelp reviews. I had large bunions on both feet…read more After visiting Dr. Kaye I also went to another doctor for a second opinion. It was an easy choice to pick Dr. Kaye. I ended up having Dr. Kaye conduct bunion surgery on both feet in April. Not may doctors do surgery on both feet at the same time. I followed the guidelines that Dr. Kaye gave me. I stayed home for two weeks and limited my walking around my house. For the first couple of weeks I iced my feet 10 - 14 hours a day. On the third and forth weeks, I used a wheelchair from the parking lot to my office. I continued icing my feet in the evenings for over a month. As of mid August I feet feel great. I have some light numbness in both toes which apparently can last for up to a year. The key to success with foot surgery is following the rules. Dr. Kaye is a no nonsense kind of person and tells you how it is. Dr. Kaye's office is different that a normal doctor's office. It is only Dr. Kaye and Kathy. They know you by name each time you enter the office. It seems that you are part of the family after a few visits. I highly recommend Dr. Kaye as a podiatrist!

I've had two babies but that does not scare me as much as having bunion surgery. To be fair, I had…read more4 bunions worked on at the same time - left and right bunion on each foot. Most of us wouldn't even know you could have that many right? I'm an avid researcher and I spend an inordinate amount of time mulling over the details before purchasing anything so you can imagine how much effort I put into finding a surgeon who's going to operate on me. I went to get a consult with another surgeon at a swanky office in Santa Monica who writes for medical journals on orthopedic surgery so I wasn't going to any schmo. He recommended breaking my foot in three separate places including my ankle and allowing that to heal for 6 months, do physical therapy for a couple more and then repeat on my other foot. Needless to say, I was not a fan of the Frankenstein foot approach and going through a process that will take over a year to complete. Not a lot of surgeons will do both feet at the same time. There's a benefit to it as a patient because it's one operation and one recovery time vs two. Doctors don't like that because they prefer to do two surgeries and get paid for two. Dr. Kaye does have a nominal fee for doing both at the same time but in all honesty, I would have paid at least twice that for all the hassle he saved me. I'm a busy working mom and I don't have the time to sit around because my feet are out of commission. I swear you will have minimal pain if you keep your feet elevated and iced as instructed by Dr. Kaye. By day 2, I was off prescribed meds and taking just Motrin. By week 2 I was walking on both feet in a soft boot, no cast. That's pretty amazing for someone who just had bone surgery. Another amazing thing about Dr. Kaye's office is Kathy, his office manager. She was on top of all my appointment reminders and she dealt with my insurance company directly so I didn't have to. It was great! Ten months later, I'm easing into my high heels and my only regret is not doing a Yelp review sooner. Thank you Dr. Kaye and Kathy for all you've done!

To all potential patients of Dr. Mario Pacada, I have a complaint with this MD and have brought it…read moreto the attention of the medical board of California. It was during my initial visit. He was in my network under my insurance and close to my work. Basically on the day of my visit he made me feel uncomfortable being alone with him in the exam room after he made inappropriate unwanted sexual advances towards me. He blatantly asked me, "I'll give you this, if you fuck me." I was immediately taken back because his comments caught me off guard. I also didn't feel that he was joking about it but what he said, coming from a doctor to a patient, at that moment I wish I wasn't in the exam room alone with him. I wanted another person there so that he wouldn't hurt me. Please be careful with this pervert. I've been traumatized by this experience and I will never go back to him. I'm so scared Anyone else have this same experience with this doctor?

I like to get my feet looked at at least once or twice a week to make sure they're doin their job, so I decided to pop in after seeing some great reviews on his yelp page. Upon arrival, I was greeted by very tiny gentleman with an overly expressive smile on his face. I could tell he was in a fantastic mood. The first thing he said to me was, "welcome! I'm Lil Mario™, I'm a foot guy!" Now those were the words I wanted to hear. I went to shake his hand but he insisted on a quick peck on the lips. It felt a lil strange but hey, different cultures ya know? He then proceeded to take my shoes off for me. From here, another pair of hands came from the shadows and placed a blindfold over me. I thought hm, this is interesting but I'll let the man continue his magic. The next thing I know I could hear despicable me 2 playing in the background while, from what I could tell, some sort of orifice completely engulfing my right foot. This felt VERY weird but I knew it was for the best. Shortly after the same thing happened to my left foot and then it was all over. Lil Mario undid the blindfold and told me the procedure was finished! My feet felt completely moisturized and ready to rock! They smelt a lil funny but hey! That's the magic working :) Definitely recommend 5 stars

I had high hopes initially, but over time I realized he lacks, or is unwilling, to be honest, or admit either differences in opinions regarding stem cell usage or Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP), or admit misdiagnosis/acknowledge the difficulty in diagnosing something, or errors in sizing orthopedic inserts. He comes off incredibly arrogant, and incapable of admitting a mistake or an wrong doing. Then I realized podiatrists aren't really "medical" doctors... the term MD is reserved for orthopedists, so after getting nowhere, I went to Cedars. I was also told I had to make two separate appointments to receive a short (dress shoe) and long (regular shoe) inserts (made at the same time, and available at the same time) because that's what my insurance requires (BCBS). I've never had to do that before, so now I need to research the validity of this claim to know if they're just trying to gouge patients.
