Pretty big parking lot here, and plenty of pumps. When I swung by there were plenty of employees helping out in the jewelry shop and two employees sweeping the parking lot around the pumps. This review is for the Marathon gas station only. The restaurant was amazing. Ate at the Kiva diner and then went to fill up the tank. All pumps were full, but one had an empty car parked with bumper even with the middle of the pump. The assumption was that someone decided to run inside, so my husband backed bumper to bumper and began fueling. He was nearly finished when Eric, the extremely rude pump jocky, came up to my husband and started shouting that the pump had a leak, and that was why the car was parked there. My husband explained that he saw no leak and assumed that the owner of the car had gone into the store. He mumbled a few things as he went around the front of our car and as he approached my door, I heard him call my husband an effing a-hole (right in front of me and my daughter). I opened my door, got out and said, "Excuse me, what did you call him?" He repeated himself loudly and told us to "go back to Texas, "along with other things directed at my husband, who was now angry at Eric for shouting at me. I involved a female manager whose name, unfortunately, I forgot to get in all the chaos. At first, she was apathetic and didn't even want to come to the pump so I could show her where the car was parked and explain the misunderstanding, but she eventually came out and basically shrugged it off, including the cussing and shouting, and said she sided with Eric. I don't believe in the saying that the customer is always right, but an employee should never use that language and shout at a customer unless the customer started it. My advice to Eric and the manager, Shouting and cussing at customers costs business, paper, marker and tape to write "out of order", priceless!!! At the very least, park the car directly in front of the pump or perhaps invest in a traffic cone. But I guess a sign and/or traffic cone makes too much sense for the senseless. We won't be back, and it's a shame. The attached restaurant was quite good. read more

Seemed like a cool place / lots of Tesla chargers. Cool artifacts and necessities to buy. But then the nighttime staff closed the bathrooms and was making derogatory comments about "those" people in Teslas and how they act. Seemed too coincidental that the bathrooms were closed. Three people working- gas pumps empty, while LOvEs was packed. I spent my money there - oh and it's 8:30 at night so I had to walk from Chacos travel center across the parking lots to get my drinks at Loves. Staff at loves was very busy - but friendly! read more

Not sure if it was the gas station or the travel center located and connected to each other but they have the RUDEST people! They don't appreciate truckers who go in and buy their products and delivers their products. Kicking truckers who are parked there out of the way not blocking anyone. They are across the street from Love's and the Loves parking lot was full so several trucks had to park on street and in the empty lot of Vhevron and the travel center. Wanted to go and buy some items in their store when they opened but since they were so rude, went across street to Love's and they got my business and money instead. read more

So a big sign on the door saying I have to wear a mask but they have no paper towels in the restroom. How stupid can people get. Maybe next time I'll wear shoe covers so my feet don't stick to the nasty floor read more

My favorite spot to visit when I am home visiting my mom. What a great selection of Native American jewelry! And very reasonably priced! Jenna was the nice lady that helped me and she was great! Friendly staff, good prices, and great spot for taking a break from the road.it literally is one of those gems that you find while driving on either I-40 or RT-66. Just take your time. You think this place can be a 20 minute stop and then BLAM! 2 hours later your back in your car and saying to yourself that you are sorry to leave. read more

So I stopped here on a road trip to New Mexico from California. Nice location with lots of souvenir options and snacks for the trip. They have lots of parking but that is never a problem once you leave Los Angeles. They person at the register once pretty friendly and was nice to my boys and the prices weren't high so all in all a good pit stop. read more

It's a Chevron gas station with a jewelry store and cafe inside. Clean bathrooms to boot. We spent a whole lot of time in the jewelry part of the store. They have a huge selection of mostly sterling jewelry with stones both natural and lab made. I found a couple of pieces and especially feel in love with an amber bracelet. My previous one bit the bullet about six months ago and I had been missing mine. I swear it helps with my digestive issues and headaches. Very friendly guy was kind enough to put up with my indecisive mother too. She took her time to try to find the right piece, but found a few earrings she loved too. This station looks better than the Loves next door too. Great road trip stop. read more

The bathrooms are AWFUL! They are dirty and they stink! The drinks I purchased were both EXPIRED! Usually at gas stations I don't feel the need to check the expiration date on popular items. Do yourself a favor and PASS THIS PLACE UP and go to the next gas station or truck stop there is a few not to far ahead. read more

This was a fun little gas station/rest stop on our Southwest road trip. Southwestern jewelry and crafts to buy along with the typical gas station stuff. There was a lady stamping out metal buttons for the metal smiths to work with. Neat to watch. Clean amenities. Would stop here again. read more

Chaco Canyon trading company is my fave place to stop when traveling. In fact, we always plan our trip to so we can stop by. Location is extremely easy right off I40 at exit 79. Just a short 22 miles from Gallup NM. The staff are absolutely wonderful and very knowledgeable about the different stones (Alan is my fave and always makes me feel like i am his only customer and takes great care of me!!) The store has many diff types of stones and gems in an abundant amount of stock. I feel like a kid in a toy store when I get there and always always leave extremely happy. Make sure to stop by and see them and tell them Cyndi sent ya. Treat well worth the stop!!! Can't wait to see them on my next trip!! read more

Stopped for gas and decided to try the Kiva Restaurant instead of the sandwich shop across the street. The food and service was excellent and the prices was inexpensive for the entrees. If you are in need of gas around exit 79 stop and do yourself a favor and try out the Kiva Restaurant. You will not be sorry. read more
