So Love's #5 on my trip. This one was outside of ABQ, had easy on and off like so many on this trip, they had good gas prices. The pump area is wide and the hoses long. Usually they have long handles on the squeegees but there was a small problem. It was like 20 degrees out so the buckets with the washing fluid were frozen solid. This Love's was just okay overall. The bathroom and shower could've been cleaner, and the toilet wasn't working during my visit. There was also a gap in the bathroom door (shower 5) and someone can clearly see you if they pass by, so no privacy. Parking was average. No pet area. That said, the highlight was definitely the Godfather's Pizza -- it was really good, and the employee working there was super friendly and helpful. I'd still recommend stopping here to fuel up, grab a godfather pizza, and park for the night if needed. read more

Another hour of driving and I'm ready to stop for a break. With plenty of signs leading the way, I found this Love's easily. It's also a truck stop so even the largest RVs will be able to negotiate their way in and out. Large pump area with a high roof and they have the long sticks on their squeegees so I was able to get even the highest stubborn bugs off my windshield. Inside, the usual snacks and drinks and hot rolled meat on the grill with unlimited free toppings. Men's room was clean as was the rest of the store. Loves Truck Stop is one of my favorites easy access most of the time in and out and also have a recreation area for dogs to walk and have some freedom. Busy truck stop but it has just about everything you're looking for! We needed a few things for the RV and we were surprisingly able to find Topo Chico mineral waters here! I've looked for this at every gas station and grocery store since we left Washington State, and this little truck stop has three flavors of Topo Chico here! There's a Subway, Chester's and a pizza place here alongside the gas station. Very convenient! read more

Very clean. Safe. Good snacks. And a dog run! So nice to give our dog time to run around after hours in the car.

Everything at the pump worked as expected. I had a little fun finding the diesel pump, but it wasn't too bad. Went inside to buy a drink and that was easy and the cashier was friendly. Odd that the 32 ounce soda lids were with the coffee, but whatever. It was easy to get to the store and back out to I-40. read more

Stopped here for one night and parked my RV in one of the spaces directly behind the store. Decided to spend the night and rejuvenate before I continued east on 40. The store had the requisite necessities for truckers and RVers, and the store hosts space for a fried chicken vendor, which smelled pretty awesome, and on reflection, I wish I had tried some. Only downside was the next morning when I attempted to leave the parking lot. Unfortunately the lot I chose is situated parallel to the lines the trucks form to fill up their 10 gazillion gallon gas tanks per. In my humble attempt to squeeze my little 21' RV between these behemoths, I met with less than gentlemanly behavior and ended up meekly waiting for some kind soul to allow me to cut in front of them.
