I have been here and used the facility a few times for appointments that would normally have meant me travelling to Stoke Mandeville hospital or Milton Keynes General. If you live in buckingham and you get the chance to support your local hospital then please do it it is an invaluable resource for the town, plus the parking is plentiful and is 'free' they also have a non emergency casualty department.

My brother called his GP to see if I could get an appointment to see her. However she said as I did not have local registration, she couldn't see me, and instead referred me on to the local hospitals Urgent Care Center and so off we went here. They have excellent signage and so we found ourselves in the hospital parking lot (make sure u get a parking ticket!) and then it was easy to find the Center, once we walked towards the buildings and saw a big map (photo posted on Yelp too!) The urgent care center staff took my details down and then I waited around 20-30 mins, a nurse (along with a student- nurse) saw me, took down my temperature and then sent me out in the waiting room, where I waited another 30 mins and then was taken into the ED area, where another nurse said as I had a viral infection, so no prescription but gave me two paracetamol and then gave me a note for work and that was it. All told it took like 2 (maybe 2h30?) so I can totally sympathize with all the UK folks who complain about waiting times, as experienced it for myself! But both nurses who saw me were really nice and answered all my questions, so very impressed by the staff. Yelp 18/ 2019

Ive been visiting brooks advisory centre since i was 16, it has definately improved over the last…read more6years. The people at reception are very nice and friendly, the waiting room is kind of homely compared to most waiting rooms, they have plenty of magazines to read with lots of factual posters placed everywhere which keeps you entertained (waiting can sometimes take 30mins, depending on time and day), they also have vending machines and play the radio, so it doesnt seem all clinical. They have very friendly nurses there and sexual health advisors, the nurses are obviously trained to give injections/implants ect the nurses have improved since 3 years ago as they were trained how to make injections ect less painfull which definately shows, i used to dread the 3month stabbing in the bum with an injection. They give free advice, condoms, pregnancy tests (done by them). They give free contraception from injections to implants up untill the age of 25.

Just had a recent visit for a contact lens check up and eye test and it was very very good, helpful staff who check that you are ok at all times. Bought a new pair of glasses to and they were very helpful and really wanted to make sure I was happy with what I had chosen.
